Abigail Collins has seen just about everything when it comes to paranormal crimes until bodies start showing up around town in boxes. She stumbles upon something she never expected when a family of doll makers becomes the center of the investigation, and Abby must untangle the web of lies to solve the crime.
Being the princess of vampires comes with new responsibilities to juggle on top of her PIB duties, and when a child vampire shows up in Levi's territory, it's up to Abby and Mario to deal with the new situation.
A.L. Kessler is an author of paranormal and urban fantasy books and is best known for her “Here Witchy Witchy” series. A self-proclaimed coffee addict, she resides in Colorado Springs with her family and menagerie of animals. When she’s not writing her next book, she loves to read and visit with friends and family.
I love Abigail and her stories, they are always entertaining and never dull. The vampires show up a lot in this one and more secrets are slowly being dragged out yet raise more questions really. There is a fake romance which is funny to read play out and I wish Abby had a real romance for once and that it actually work out.
Love this series, abby is well written and you find yourself angry when the odds are against her... or the author throws in an unexpected plot twist definitely worth the read
THis book has a great storyline, interesting characters, engaging investigation. The lead character is strong and doesn't give up. The world and supporting characters are great and add to the story. I am really enjoying the series. The only downside is the typos and editing issues. There are extra words, incorrect word usage and a number of passages where it appears a sentence was reworked but all of the original sentence was not removed. It does take away from reading enjoyment. I would still recommend the series.
Abbey's life is changing and its hard to say if its for the good or bad. Some secrets have made life easier, while those same secrets have made life tougher. Her new promotion within the PIB wasn't her choice, but necessary. Her pairing with Mario, wasn't her choice, trusting him is questionable and will take time to adjust to. But, Abbey's cases still takes the twists and turns no one sees coming until it comes down to kill or be killed.
Abby has a lot weighing on her shoulders this time round, more than ever before and there are surprises good and bad. A few more things get cleared up but there is still more mystery in Abby's background to ponder and as usual there are multiple sets of bad guys and machinations in play. This series for me is a perfect combination of character and action. The action is exciting and meant I never wanted to put the book down and at the same time there was plenty of human/superantural interaction and I felt involved in every second. Love this series and I cannot wait for the next one to come out.
She's getting in deeper and it's a roller coaster of action. Great storyline that keeps you edged in anticipation. There's mystery, magic, secrets, and deceit. There are editing errors but the story makes up for them.
Not sure which one is the best, out of all first 5 books. Yep, I liked this one just as much as the last ones. I can turn on my kindle, but the start of the book; and I'm instantly immersed into another world. One is really love to live in, but until it's a reality, I'll just visit for now. Love you A.L.. Thank you for your excellent writing skills❤❤💖💖
A well crafted plot and lots of supernatural characters. Light on romance but full of snark. What's not to like? I will definitely be reading the next.
I Love the heroine, Abby is tough, smart, and connected to very important people. Which also makes her a target of very bad people. One of the things I love about the character is she keeps growing in terms of her witch powers and her willingness to do what needs to be done.
I can’t stop reading this series, humor, plots that intertwine and awesome character development. I highly recommend it to any looking for short books with a great story develop that flows through the books .
I really enjoy this series. No romance so far, which is still a refreshing change, and I like all her pals and coworkers. The dialogue is a bit strange, it almost sounds like a translation. But it’s effective and tells me everything I need to know. This book was another fine case, it’s violent without disturbing me, and the heroine is a pragmatic, independent, magical badass. The world is fun too.
