Well, this was not what I expected, but I mean that in a positive, "this was surprisingly good" way.

I admit I didn't read the blurb (because really, I was just looking for a story set in Ohio to complete a reading challenge). I was expecting zombie mayhem in corporate America, a few suits getting eaten, perhaps chaos on the elevator. The title is called "Compliance," after all. Instead I got a smart zombie story about smart zombies, about food harvesting, and artificial insemination, and the zombification of Hugo Chavez, about the perils and the importance of free thinking, and of course, compliance.

A very good read, and recommended.

Wow

What a sad yet terrifying tale. There end of the world as we know it has come. The new world offers no conflict, no struggles and no hope.
