Summerita Rhayne writes sensual romance which is sheer escapism with lots of emotional conflict. She first got published in 2013 and has won contests with prestigious publishers such as Harlequin and Harper Collins India. Writing, she finds, is the only way to deal with the numerous story ideas bubbling in her brain which pop up more rapidly than her keyboard can do justice to. Her pet belief is that even when writing time is in short supply, if the inspiration is strong enough, the story characters get a life of their own and will find a way to make the writer pen them down. When cerebrally confronted with the sizzling interaction of two Alpha characters, the only way to get peace is write their book!

At heart, she's a family person and even though she loves her medical teaching profession, she happily becomes a homemaker when not at work. She loves winding down with music, movies, cricket (strictly watching only) and social networking.

This story is set in India and gives us a perspective into the inner workings of most rich Indian families. The family dynamics, how marriages are made and how their culture is similar and different from the my culture and the rest of the world.

I have not read of any works of the author before this so I don't know what to expect. I didn't even know that she is from India before reading the story. But knowing a few things about the author and from her culture is a really good learning experience. And it's fascinating reading a story set in her land and showcasing her culture. It's as good as an invitation to getting to know the author more.

This is a story about two people who work together. The guy is the boss of a movie production company. The woman is one of his creative directors. The guy-Guy, is a flirt. He often drops flirty suggestions in conversations with Lyna. At first, they were all harmless and Lyna would often respond back with cold and sarcastic retorts. Until, they realized that the flirting started to get less harmless and Lyna is starting to get confused if she will take Guy up on his innuendos.

The best part of this story is when the two were forced to act like they were engaged, to appease their families and for damage-control for the embarrassment from the unfortunate video that was uploaded on social media. It was really interesting knowing about the family of Guy and their dynamics. The family secrets, fights and scandals. It was like being shown into the lives of the truly rich in India.

At first, Guy may seem like a jerk and a conceited person. A man full of himself but as it turned out, he has a soft side to him. And Lyna, acting as cold as the Arctic was no use to Guy's heated flirty attempts. Staying in Guy's childhood home and meeting his family has shown Lyna the real Guy and she ended up melting like the icebergs helpless against global warming.

I give this book 3/5 peepal trees. It's nice to know more about the marriage aspect of the Indian culture. It was a really good learning experience. I liked how Guy can turn a flirty banter into a funny and witty exchange. I especially like the one about him being a knight in a shining armor. It was just so witty and a little funny. The host of other interesting characters, especially Guy's family was also very interesting. The eccentricities of each character added more color to the story. The only small kink I found in the whole book was the use of not so common words. In a way, I understand because the author might be more attuned to British English. I just wished simpler words were used to be more relatable to the audience.

Maybe it's a kind of circle. Some give pain and some others accept it and that's how nature equates itself.

I’ve always been a fan of Summerita Rhayne’s books, and this latest offer is no exception. She’s experimented a little with this book. I’ve come to expect either meticulously researched, steamy historical romance with strong and unusual (royal) heroines or emotional, somewhat suspenseful contemporary romance with sizzling chemistry and believable characters. This novel has something else added into the mix: humor. At times it reads like a rom-com but still retains the author’s distinct style. And there’s yet another layer to “The Last Man She’d Love” (which, by the way, has a perfect title): family drama. At times, I felt as if I were watching an Indian soap opera, with all the various family members with their own demands and crises. And I mean that as praise, because if a writer can make the scenes and protagonists come alive and offer so many glimpses without losing the main thread of the story, that’s praiseworthy.

Lyna made for an interesting character. Very uptight and correct to a fault but with a hidden spark that surprised me more than once. And it’s her boss Guy who brings out that spark, who recognizes it and taunts her until she’s reached breaking point. The two seem polar opposites at the beginning of the book—but there’s truth to the saying “opposites attract”. And attraction really is there from the start, growing stronger with each scene they share. Sometimes I wished there were more scenes of them alone or glimpses into what has made them who they are, but the author made up for it with lots of sparks and intense fights alongside witty banter that kept me entertained for hours.

A Great Story! This is a great love story. It is light and funny, but very honest. The characters are very relatable and likeable. Guy is a business man who is not looking for a permanent relationship, but when he starts working with Lyna his attraction begins and does not let up. He begins to flirt with her and because she is reserved and engaged, she does not give in to his flirting. She feels a pull to him, but she is engaged to another man and ignores the pull. Lyna’s engagement is a business deal. She isn’t in love with Brijesh, nor is she really attracted to him. She agreed to marry him because he promised to give her a production company of her own.

Guy is the oldest child and feels the family obligation very strongly. When he and Lyna are video taped kissing, and the video goes viral, things get complicated between the two. Lyna has issues already with her fiancé and is trying to get out of the engagement. Both families have some issues and Guy and Lyna are trying to please their families. I love Dadu and his eccentricity and keeping with tradition. He is a force to be rekoned with when it comes to the family and they all do their best to keep him happy, the only one who will stand up to him is Guy.

I give this story a 4.5 star review. If you like a book that is light and funny, but will keep you turning the pages, especially towards the end, this is a great book to read. I love the chemistry between Guy and Lyna, and the way that they each deal with their family issues is different, but gentle.

I look forward to reading more books by Summerita in the future.

I had preordered this book and was waiting for it to be delivered to my kindle so I could read it. Summerita is one of the authors who consistently writes good stories and I have enjoyed her plot and well developed storyline. Her stories are normally fast paced and plots well researched and characters well developed and this one was definitely not any different from the previous ones I have read. It was quite fast paced and entertaining & quite a page turner. Ms. Prim and proper Lyna works for flirt yet very lovable Rouge Guy and due to certain circumstances they have to pretend to be engaged and eventually how the story proceeds and they fall for each other is plot for the story. I really liked how well developed and multifaceted both the lead characters were . Both the main character were total opposites of each other Lyna being so cool & calm and while Guy was a Casanova but they were such a perfect match. He though seemed like a big flirt heavy on his innuendo and one liners flirting with Lyna from the beginning of the story but as the story proceeds you get glimpse of the depth of his real personality. His caring and loving side for his family & loved ones. I really enjoyed the undeniable and irresistibly sizzling chemistry between the two lead characters which is the trademark of all Summerita's stories. Overall a great story to relax and unwind on a lazy weekend on your couch.

"Last Man She'd Love" was an entertaining read - one that was difficult to put down. Lyna is prim and proper and comes across as cool-mannered. She's engaged for a marriage of convenience. Guy is a total flirt, throwing innuendos left, right and center. He's also her boss. And the chemistry between them is undeniable and irresistible. One favour and one public stuff-up leads to one drama-filled rollercoaster of a ride while they're compelled to live a lie for both of their sakes. Until the lie starts to become too real.

I really enjoyed the entire storyline of "Last Man She'd Love". It was entertaining and captured my interest from the start. There was always something happening. I didn't feel like there were any filler scenes. I did, however, find it confusing at times, such as introducing characters (i.e. not establishing who his family members were in the scheme of things straight away) and timing (i.e. how much time has passed, skipping to the next day in the same paragraph...) and I feel that those parts could have been improved. It's details though! As a whole, this book was a great read.

**I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Thank you, Summerita Rhayne, for giving me the opportunity to read your book.**

Ignite the passion!
A hopeless flirt and an ice maiden are set to ignite the passion for romance in you.
This is the journey of two individuals unraveling each other’s real self in a make-believe relationship, and slowly finding out that they are meant to be ‘together’.
It is certainly a delightful romance to look forward to. Lyna and Guy are caught in a pretend engagement and what they didn’t bargain for was the intense attraction for each other. I loved the intricate characters introduced along the story.
The complex human mind in the different characters was a treat to read. This book is certainly my favorite pick from Ms. Rhayne. This one is a complete package of romance, drama and great chemistry between the protagonists. I and my doppelgangers had a blast as we read it.

An entertaining read.

Well developed characters - the whole lot of them - but especially the main two. It's a foregone conclusion, if the author is Summerita, that the chemistry will be great - as it was between Lyna and Guy.

The storyline was full of amusing and acerbic exchanges between the lead duo. There's plenty of family drama, too, enough to keep one flipping the pages to keep up with the action.

The writing style is reminiscent of Cartland and of Heyer and I was transported back in time!

Overall, a good one by Summerita.

The story has a simple plot and the flow is good.
The characters have been developed well. Lyna is as cold as they come, strong, independent and sharp tongued. Guy, is a private person but flirtatious. Both of them have a sense of humour that kept me smiling off and on. Even the secondary characters have important roles in the story. The descriptions are nice and detailed.
I loved the story and would recommend it to all romance lovers.

I liked the book - had a tough time getting into it though. I think it was just my being unfamiliar with the author's writing style. Will read another of Rhayne's books...
