Ash Bartlet had always gotten Shannon Reed out of tight spots when they were kids - heck, he'd even rustled her into a few when they got older - so he wasn't surprised to be halfway up a mountain rescuing her again.
What shocked him was how much they still loved each other ten years after their bitter breakup. His cowboy pride had driven her into the arms of another man. Now she was back - but as the prime suspect in her husband's murder. And this time Ash wouldn't let anything keep them apart - not even the long arm of the law.
A quick read, although it just didn't hit for me the way a few others written in this same period did. This is a completely subjective review. Someone else may absolutely love this book. I just wasn't that into it.
