Breeze’s dreams are haunted by Bobbie Beard, as he tries to come to terms with what he’s done. Holly and Tommy have found their treasure, but need help to recover it. An old smuggler seeks out Breeze to help him get rid of his dope. A young Marine needs guidance. Can our hero stay busy enough to keep his demons at bay? Can his relationship with Brody survive the chaos? In the ninth installment of the Trawler Trash Series, the predicaments pile up faster than any normal man can handle, but Breeze is no normal man.
Breeze and Brody have been cruising through the Caribbean for a year and are both getting restless and a bit homesick for the USA and creature comforts. The only problem is that Breeze is having nightmares starring Bobby Beard's death. As a possible means of ending the dreams, Breeze decides to return to the scene of the crime and make apologies to those affected by the fallout.
While on this pilgrimage, Breeze encounters Big Mike, Holly, Tommy, an 80 year old drug smuggler, and a discharged Marine. In typical Breeze fashion, things get complicated, but shit works out. Travel with Breeze and Brody through the Caribbean, Guatemala, Belize, Grand Cayman, the southern Gulf Coast of Florida, and the Keys in a variety of escapades in true Breeze fashion. Great read as usual.
This series of books has been great. Each book has been so hard to put down and when one ends you are ready to continue the adventure. Within the span of 2 weeks i have gone through this collection and I can only say wow. I am eligible for retirement in 4 Years 11 months and 3 days (but who's counting) and I hope to retire to Florida to enjoy it. Ed Robinson has opened my eyes to another way to enjoy this by being on the sea (just have o convince the wife). Thank you Ed for these books.
I have read all of the Trawler Trash series twice, in some cases three times. Ed has away with words and all of us who have plied the waters of Florida and the Bahamas relate well to the areas Breeze travels. Breeze leads the life that our Alta egos would love to share...can't wait for book 10
I believe this is the final Breeze book and I must say I hate to see them end.
Breeze, Brody, And all of the great charters in the various Trawler Trash books are really spell binding so much so you don’t want to put them down. I can tell you that I have read many books over the last couple of years, these have really been the most intertwining. Thank you
Breeze and ex -FBI agent Brody take us on another Caribbean adventure. Girls, ganja and gold keeps our hero Breeze and his new companion busy from the straights of Florida through the Gulf of Mexico. A fast paced read. Already waiting for the next Breeze novel
Love the Breeze series, cant wait for the next book
I really relate to the story line and love how Ed writes. His stories always make me laugh and smile. Loved the veteran's portion of the book and was happy to read in the authors note that the help was based on a true story!
Have enjoyed the series, some more than others but definitely enjoyed this one the most. Great adventures, good friends to share it with and excellent story telling to boot. Leap of Faith, indeed!
This is the 8th book in this series that I have read. I enjoy each one a little bit more. Still have a bit of an issue with all the list of places that I have never been to.
What an adventure, ups and downs, round and round. Keep the faith, live your life to the fullest, find time to love and fish sometimes. Do it all, don't take no shit. Live in the wild side if you need to. Rock on
As always, Breeze never fails to entertain. The second I finish one of these books I start getting anxious to read another. Hmm, kind of restless like Breeze!
I love that Breeze has a purpose and found Brody...the philanthropy is awesome also! Great twist and Holly is a Hoot, I hope her and Daniel have a cool Sailing affair!
Better and better both story line and characters. Love the complex development.of Breeze. It's like taking a trip through the Carribian. And Southwest Florida!
The story and characters live on.....Familiar names, new names , and a story line that builds on support of each new adventure. Mr. Robinson has a loyal fan.....
Restless Breeze: Trawler Trash Series Book 9 is by Ed Robinson. As usual, Breeze gets into mix-up after mix-up; but it always turns out OK. You can count on Miss Leap getting work done on her and Breeze taking us on a tour of the islands as he sails around with Brody. Breeze is having nightmares about Bobby Beard’s death and his hand in it. He is feeling guilty for having killed him even though Bobby did come to before his death and tell the doctors that it was his fault. Breeze decides he needs to apologize to the people in Guatemala. When he and Brody go to Guatemala, the old man at the marina tells him to forget it but to stay out of trouble while in the country. They go up the coast to find Tommy and Holly. When they get there, Tommy and Holly have found treasure but need help getting it up. Brody and Breeze take the time to help. Of course, trouble came too! When they get home, Breeze talks to Jonnie Gee, a Vet who helps other vets who have PSTD. Then Daniel, a young ex-Marine, shows up wanting a boat. Breeze is working on one and sells it to him along with his advice for a while. Daniel soaks up anything wants to teach him. He is disillusioned about the world he came home to. Will he survive on his own? I really liked this book, even with the politics.
