Earth has been dying for years, but it has reached a critical point and they are running out of time. They now have the task of looking for a new home for Earth.
When Natalie White signed up to become a pilot with the Intergalactic Forces, a specialized branch of the Armed Forces, she never thought she'd be volunteering for a solo mission into space. But after the death of her family a year prior, that's exactly what she does. She is tasked with searching for a new home for all humanity. But no one expected there to be an anomaly that would lead to an inhabited galaxy.
Found.
Taavi Larn, Captain of the Elite Warriors of Tarlon, doesn't need anything to distract him from fighting his peoples' enemies, the Nezleans, so when he boards their ship, he's surprised to find an alien. He's immediately drawn to her fragility and her delicate beauty, and stunned when he finds she is his soile-miena, his soul mate. As the connection between them strengthens, the fight between the Tarlon's and Nezlean's heighten. Natalie needs to get word back to Earth, but Taavi needs to protect her and his world. When they finally catch a break, someone in the shadows waits to tear them apart.
Destiny Found is an incredible debut from Ms.Valentine! I'm a huge fan of sci-fi romance, but finding good authors in this sub genre is pretty difficult. I was completely blown away by Taavi and Natalie's story!
With earth dying and nowhere left to turn Natalie is on a mission to find a new place for the human race to live. During her lonely mission she is shocked to find not only do aliens exist, but not all of them are the enemy. Natalie was such a strong female lead, brave and determined to save her people even at the expense of herself. Her quick intelligence mixed with a bit of sass and a big heart was such a joy to read. The open and honest love she has for Taavi was so sweet I was left sighing in happiness.
Taavi is everything I love when I read a great sci-fi romance. Strong and kind with a love for his mate that will not ever fade. From the instant he finds Natalie he's head over heels. His patience and kindness with her while she adjusted to this strange, but also a bit familiar new world made me wish aliens really did exist.
Top all of that with some incredible steam and riveting action makes Destiny Found a new favorite for me! I can't wait for more!
This book is awesome! It draws you in with the prologue and doesn't let you leave the book until the end. Even then you are foaming at the mouth for more. Natalie and Taavi's story is a slow burn romance. Taavi takes it slow and it is nice to see Natalie get wooed. Both are very strong characters. Natalie has had some heartbreak in her past but Taavi and his family help heal her heart. Taavi is a perfect male lead, he's a warrior with a heart of gold. Everything about this romance and story is amazing and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
Oh, where to begin?! This story was simply enthralling - I had a hard time putting it down! From the very first chapter through to the epilogue, it was constant go. The characters were phenomenal - each had a distinct personality that practically made them pop out of the book in vibrant 3D. Natalie, the heroine, was tough enough to admire while, at the same time, vulnerable enough to actually relate to. Talk about a gal with gumption! And the hero, Taavi, was absolutely swoon-worthy. But what I really enjoyed about the book was how well ALL the characters were written and fleshed-out. Their quirks were endearing and made me care not only about what happened to Natalie and Taavi, but everyone. Valentine created an amazing world - a universe complete with a dying planet, newfound hope, soul mates, villains vile enough to make you cringe, and star-hopping adventure. Eagerly anticipating the next book in this series!
