From Natasha West, internationally bestselling author of lesbian fiction novels 'The Plus One' and 'Waiting for the Punchline', comes her newest lesfic novel, Chase Me.

Some days, you just shouldn’t get out of bed…

For Beth Carmichael, an altruistic doctor with a tendency to be overly rational when it comes to her love life, today is that day. Because when Gracie Bloom walks into her exam room with a fractured arm, Beth knows two things. Firstly, Gracie is molten hot. Secondly, she’s trouble.

And Beth is right on the money.

Because Gracie is a con artist, ripping off rich people whenever she gets the chance. And after she meets the doctor with the heart of gold and far too much good sense to go to bed with her, Gracie makes the worst mistake of her life, a mistake that will mean she must run from some very dangerous people… Or die.

And even though Beth is only the attractive doctor that Gracie failed to lure into her sexy web that same day, virtually a stranger, Gracie makes one stupid mistake that drags Beth into the chaos, wrecking her life in the process.

For Beth, it’s her worst nightmare. She’s spent her entire life doing the right thing and making all the right choices and somehow, it’s all gone south anyway. And if she doesn’t flee with the hot grifter, abandoning the life she’s built, she’ll be killed. It’s not much of a choice.

Beth and Gracie end up on the lam together, trying to figure out how to get back to the lives they knew. But are they gone for good? And if they could find their way back, can overly rational Beth and street-smart Gracie find anything in common besides raw sexual attraction?

Chase Me is a romantic crime thriller with a dash of humor that will make your pulse race for all the right reasons.

This is a plot I've seen many times on the big screen but it doesn't make it any less fun, especially when there's a lesbian twist.

A small time petty thief and con artist, Gracie, inadvertently puts a completely respectable, upstanding doctor, Beth, in the line of fire from bigger criminals. They are forced to go on the lamb to save their skins and figure out how to get out of the mess they've found themselves. In the process, they bring out the best in each other so we get a light romance in addition to a cat-and-mouse-chase crime caper.

The story isn't too deep, i.e. it's not heavy though it involves crime, and the author does a great job of quickly setting up the characters, their chemistry, and how disparate they are to each other. The book moves at a fast pace and it's solidly written. It's a pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Recommend.

A thoroughly enjoyable romp! A kindle unlimited read I highly recommend.

Gracie is a bit of a con-artist. A grifter if you will. But she has her own code of ethics. She only swindles from rich, self important saps who freely hand over funds on their own accord. The performances she puts on in order to convince her thoroughly researched marks to give her this monetary gift is certainly something else, and by all accounts she's an amazing actress putting on sob stories to make the wealthy feel good about themselves.

Beth is all intellectual. She knows love and attraction is all dopamine's and the body's procreation urges. She always chose the 'right' girls that matched up on paper, instead of the attractive 'bad' girls that pique her curiosity. Until she meets Gracie in the ER where she works. Both are immediately drawn to the other in a sizzling attraction they try to deny.

When Gracie stumbles across a new mark in a murderously compromising position, with a copper on the payroll - she is on the run. Only she realizes she has lost her mobile phone during the ordeal, which wouldn't be so bad - but she had Beth's name and phone number in it from a date they were supposed to have.

For once Grace is worried about someone other than herself, and goes to warn Beth. Beth seeing Gracie after she had tried to cancel the date - acting and looking crazed, talking about a man coming after them - causes her to think she needs hospitalization. When the henchman actually shows up trying to kidnap them, they get away and the whole truth about Gracie is revealed.

On the run together they learn a lot about eachother and form a bond. But Gracie struggles to let herself get close to Beth, and Beth finds herself wanting to justify this 'bad girls' ways into something more palatable and feeling 'sorry' for her, which Gracie also bucks against.

The story is albeit predictable but humorous and ultimately touching. I loved their chemistry together, the vulnerabilities they share, and, the opposite's attract trope where they both find in the other something each had been missing in their lives.

Just a feel good read.

Gracie Bloom, the con artist with a conscience and Beth Carmichael, the rational doctor. They meet in the hospital when Gracie walks into A&E to have her arm looked at. That puts a series of events into motion that will change their lives forever.

I've read 6 books of Natasha West (this one included) and she just keeps growing as an author. Chase Me is her best yet and I have been giving her mostly 5 star reviews in the past so there you go. This story reads like an action packed movie, a page turner that keeps you guessing 'till the very last chapter. Amazing characters, terrific dialogue and there is fun and romance between the drama. This one goes straight to my favorites shelf!

f/f suspence/romance
Themes: con artist with a heart, they're twins Basil!, in the wrong place at the wrong time, girls on the lam, opposites attract, corruption, comunal pooping, any story that talks about bodily functions is a good one!, I wanna slap a hippie, Lucy is a gem, blood is thicker and all that.

Can I give it 10 stars? No? Well then... 5 very VERY big ones will have to do!

It took me two chapters to get in to this book, but once I was in it was a real page-turner and I read it in one sitting. Nicely done.

I’ve recently discovered this author and I really like their style. This book is more of a crime romance than the one I read previously. It shows that this author is capable of writing a variety of genres.

The storytelling is good, good built up, and the dialogue is fun and engaging.

I’m really enjoying myself while discovering what this author can do.

What a ride! Ms. West had me laughing throughout this (too short) book, following Gracie (con artist) and Beth (ER doctor) through various adventures as they run from a corrupt cop and a nasty-ass murderous CEO . Their attraction was instant, but they never imagined that they would end up where they did soon after meeting. This was clever, full of wit, and just what I needed without realizing it.

This was a great quick gripping read. From beginning to end I was hooked. Brilliant plot, brilliant characters. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the two leads but that might have been because there was very little angst. An enjoyable read I very much recommend it.

Opposite attracts? A con-artist and a doctor who met and went on the run after finding themselves in a precarious situation. Sacrifices that you do in the name of love. Witty writing with some adventure thrown in. A good read for me

4 stars. Not much of a romance but certainly an enjoyable read nonetheless. What's up with the cover design though? CH ASE ME?

I don't know why but I just couldn't get into this book - the writing just didn't work for me. It was the wrong side of funny which is a real shame as I was really gunning for this! Bah! Her other stuff is good so don't lose faith in her - Plus one has been one of my favourites of the year read so far!

I enjoy everything Ms. West writes, but this book was my favorite. I don't think I can say enough for the humor she provides. It can be dry at times and then downright hilarious. Not to mention the emotion and the connection she portrays between her characters. I would suggest any book from her if you're looking for a quick and fun read.

Action packed comedy.

A very enjoyable story full of action and great, sometimes comedic, banter between the main characters. There's not a lot I can say about this book other than Gracie and Beth have great chemistry, the pacing of the story is good and there is surprisingly very little angst involved.

This is a great book if you're looking to get lost in an adventure between a streetwise con artist and a type-A doctor for a few hours. Overall rating is 3.75*

Beth Carmichael, a sometimes overly rational doctor, realizes two things immediately when she sees Gracie Bloom in her exam room with a fractured arm. First, Gracie is way too hot, and second, she looks like trouble. And man was she right.

Con artist Gracie inadvertently gets the good doctor mixed up with the wrong type of people, and that forces them both to go on the run to save their lives.

The writing was good, story flowed easily. Main characters were well developed and very likeable. The story straddled the line of being totally believable and totally fictitious, but with the world today, I went with believable. It was very well written and I enjoyed it tremendously.

The story did end too quickly for me. Pretty much everything was tied up neatly in the last chapter. A little too neat and too quickly for my liking. I was still left with a few questions, but not enough to take away from my enjoyment of the story.

While the two main characters were well developed, the bad guys, who were just as important to the story line, were glossed over. They were bad men who did evil things, but that was about it as far as their development went. I wanted to know more about them.

This may be Ms West's best book yet and I have loved all of hers so far. This is a highly entertaining story about Gracie, a con artist who is on the run with Beth an uptight doctor from a wealthy serial killer and a bent copper. There is wonderful chemistry and banter between these two women. Gracie will charm your pants off and Beth will soften your heart.

It's a well written and quirky Rom Com that will delight you. 5 Stars all the way! Loved it!

You know, I usually quite enjoy Natasha West novels. They're light and fun and thoroughly entertaining to read. Often there's an intriguingly unique premise, and atypical main characters who stretch the conception of a hero character while remaining likable. Although not always fully fleshed out and at times lacking depth, her characters are easy to root for and quick with the banter. In this book, though, the two characters are wonderfully flawed, each with a distinct voice and very real responses to the very unreal situations that crop up for them.

There's also something I want to say about this author's actual writing, as in the way she crafts her sentences. It's occasionally peppered with a $10 word when a 10 cent word could have sufficed, that could so easily render her writing fustian and obfuscatory... but it's not. It's light. It's fun. It's smart in an unassuming way, in the way it's arranged to easily capture your engagement and enjoyment. A lot of intelligent writers spend quite a lot of time being verbose about the mundane, but this one doesn't. If you're looking for an easily digestible read, this is it.

I don't like thrillers. Not at all.

Death is the quickest way to get me to run. I don't do horror either. On top of that, the more gruesome the death, or sick the villain, the faster I run.

With that being said, I liked the characters, and actually love the fact that the author writes about various things instead of just two people with regular lives, throw in a little drama, and done. Aside from the sickening stuff, this was a good read.

I am really struggling with my aversion and the rating I know this deserves. That's why I'm eliminating the creepy stuff from my verdict.

Everything was at a very quick pace, and I'm not so sure how I felt about that. I didn't understand why they'd kept that proximity to the city to begin with. If I were in the situation I'd have probably left the country before more could hit the fan. Granted, the story wouldn't have gone as it did, so perhaps that's why it didn't take that direction.

I'm not a fan of violence or anything like that in the least, but I will admit I rather villains suffer than get the "easy" way out. Something about it is unsatisfying.

Great

Gracie, the charming con-artist, meets Beth, the do good doctor, when Gracie ends up in the Hospital. What happens after that is a fun on the run story. Gracie saw something she wasn't supposed to see and mistakenly gets Beth involved by means of association. They now have to go in hiding to survive. This was a fun book to read. The way it was written made it seem like they were talking to me and we was watching everything happen, as if a was watching from over head or on a tv screen. The way Beth and Gracie were with each other was funny and you could since the attraction between them that they were both trying to hide but never really succeeded. The extra characters, especially the sister Suzy was a added bonus. You couldn't help but root for Gracie and Beth throughout the book. A must read it you want something to read as you wind down for the night.

Gracie Bloom is a con woman, and normally pretty good at it. Sadly the girl she tried to pick up had a jealous lover, resulting in her arm getting busted.

Dr Beth Carmichael knows to avoid bad girls, but Gracie is just her type. She tends to the sprain, they flirted, but ultimately she turns Gracie down.

Looking into another mark, Gracie stumbles over him committing a murder. She escapes but drops her burner phone, that has Beth's number in it. Realizing Beth could be in danger, Gracie hurries back to the hospital.

Cue a chase as the bad guys try to find them.

Good set up, but kinda meh ending. Not BAd but just ok....

Brilliant romantic thriller
Gracie Bloom the con artist. Dr Beth Carmichael the overthinking Doctor are thrown together and go on the run from the police and the baddies. I loved all of it. The Characters of Gracie and Beth well developed and loveable, I really felt for Beth and was worried about her. Full of humour and suspense the action was fast paced and gripping. A compulsive page turner which I read in one sitting. It was the first book that I have read of Natasha West and she is now on my "must read" list of authors. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this wonderful thriller.

This book has everything I look for as a reader when it comes to my taste in books, it has a lesbian relationship, a crime aspect in it that keeps you on your toes. Two powerful ladies who are ready to do anything and everything to protect each other. I am looking forward to reading from this author in the future. I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars

This book was very entertaining. I was laughing thru whole chapters. It was fun and sad at the same time. I would have liked more about their life after the "event" that changed their lives. It ended abruptly. Thus the 4 stars.

Chase crime drama

It is pretty good book. I couldn't get into it until about chapter 4 but after that it was very good. This book is more about running from criminals over exploring the connection between both characters, but it was interesting.

This had the potential to be fun and over the top, and I’m so disappointed I didn’t like it. The writing was just so bad—narration changes every chapter and both characters randomly start talking to the reader, which felt weird and clunky. There was a lot of telling, with paragraphs of explanation and no room for the reader to interpret anything. Plus there were some grammatical and formatting errors, a horrible comment about sex workers (made by a bad guy but it still felt like a gut punch), and it seemed like Gracie forgot about her hurt arm for a third of the book and it conveniently hurt again. And the person Gracie sees murdered is named Arjun, who I'm going to assume is a man of color, and I do not like people of color dying in order to further the plot, especially when the leads are two white women. Nope nope nope.

I’m glad this wasn’t my first Natasha West book, because I know I like her stuff. This one just didn’t do it for me.

This brisk and British chase Thriller would make a brilliant action movie.

The characters, one a con-artist the other an emergency doctor, are vividly drawn. Both are women, and they kiss (and more) so *thumbs up*.

Lots of banter and warmth; a bit of steam, too.

The story in this book is ok and it is well written. It is written from the point of view of both the main characters. But there was a lot telling instead of showing so it sometimes felt like reading a documentary instead of WLW fiction.
