This is the story of soldiers sitting on a DMZ at the top of a mountain range. Somehow there are also cave men and monsters involved but it's not clear how they fit in. There's some cool world building here but poor story telling. The author tries to hold too much back to make everything mysterious, but he just left me confused. There's a lot of switching back and forth in the story which is an issue with military type stories. When everyone is dressed the same, it's difficult to tell who's who. I'm not sure if I'm intrigued enough to read any more of this.

The art is ok, but the writers are holding back too much of the story in an attempt to be mysterious. It’s hard to follow and harder to identify with the characters. It’s also terribly edited. There are asterisks everywhere identifying note to explain terms, but the notes are often absent or hidden in hard to find corners. The writers also create an unnecessary amount of jargon that quickly becomes irritating.

Ça commence sur les chapeaux de roue. Les premières pages sont palpitantes en ti-pépère. Puis ça arrête soudain et il y a un long, long, long prélude à l'histoire où sont posés les prolégomènes du machin. Trop, c'est comme pas assez.

Lecture ardue, compliquée à l'excès. Pas sûr que je vais poursuivre cette série.

Found an English language version online.
Found the story line jumped a bit, I suspect that possibly something was lost in the translation, otherwise not bad with good artwork.
I just wish that more work by Christophe Bec was more readily available for non French speakers and in book format.
