ALPHA ALIEN ROMANCE
A Standalone Short Story with No Cliffhanger!

Anna signed up for a new cross planetary immigration program. She was chosen as one of the first humans to travel to Rolar, an inhabited planet with intelligent life in a neighboring solar system. As the program is in its fledgling stages Anna is paired with a Rolarian mentor to help her settle into her new home. Little did she expect that her mentor Jasiah would be gorgeous, nor did she foresee falling hard for the stoic alien.

Jasiah had volunteered for the mentor program as something to do in his time off from his job as a galactic exploration general. Little did he intend on having the bubbly human, Anna, get under his skin or break him out of his shell. Could an alien and a human truly be mates, would either allow it? Perhaps it is out of their control.

To make a written work that is recognizable story, we need a who, we need to know what they want, and we need to know what obstacle is keeping them from getting it.

The only story I could reasonably find here is: I (who) wanted this thing to end (what) and 76 Libby eReader pages were preventing it from happening (obstacle). Fear not, fair reader, I succeeded.

Spoiler alert, the scene you're probably most interested in is a out 4 sentences long and comes at the very end. Skip to that. The rest is paltry exposition for a world we're given no reason to care about anyway inhabited by characters who exist only to fill enough pages to make it seem like there's something here.

The foreign world exists, it seems, to provide a compelling title for the book and nothing more.

Weird mix of short and long, rated G and rated X and kind of standard alien "instalove" romance.
