Best one-shot of Marvel by far and a light to this bleak year! (S.E.) This duo never disappoints whether apart or together.. Cause of course, they are the best at what they do! Tom Taylor never ceases to amaze at how well he writes and understands not only this particular family but every character he gets to write! Already a favorite!
THIS ONE MADE ME TEAR UP. Okay, yes, I have a soft spot for Wolverines, BUT I also have a soft spot for family and relationships between family members. Of course, there's the expected Wolverine badassery. What makes me tear up is the emotion and vulnerability. Great work.
Generations: Wolverine & All-New Wolverine was a beautiful and bittersweet one-shot story that did its job in reminding us not only why we loved Wolverine, Laura, or Wolverine and Laura's relationship and stories together, but also reminded us that sometimes the simpler stories work the best.
This was a beautiful way to wrap up both Wolverine and Laura's stories in a way that leaves you content and fulfilled, in all of its bitterness.
So I had to order Future Quest Presents #1 and Batwoman #6 from Midtown Comics, and to make the shipping cost worth it, I got this title as well.
I actually really like it a lot! I makes me want to pick up the Laura-Wolverine series. I'm really interested to see where Marvel takes the Generations/Legacy event. It very well may be what Rebirth was for DC.
This was a really good one shot. Wolverine and X-23 work togeather to rescuse wolverine' adopted daugther, Amiko. I thought it was a nice touch wolverine figured out she was related to him by the fact she look like his mom.
Two Wolverines slicing and dicing Ninjas. Plus some father/ daughter talk. I think I liked this one best of the "generations" comics I read, even if I do not really follow any of the "re-invented" heroes.
Beautiful little story about a grieving Laura going back in time to help a younger Logan save his daughter. TW for grief, mentions of death, blood, violence, kidnapped children.
This book really highlighted my favorite things about Wolverine and reminded me what his relationship with Laura grows into. I wish X-Men had more madcap adventures with positive outcomes.
really enjoyed this one. this and the cap one are probably my faves so far. i think this series really works when you know the backstories of the characters well so that when you see the older character with the younger it feels more emotionally impactful. i know less about the characters from the first two issues (my knowledge of marvel characters mainly comes through the various films - sorry! but i am gradually making my way through a few of the comic books), so i think a lot of the impact of the first two issues was lost on me. nothing wrong with the comics, it's my bad really. seeing how much i got out of the issues with characters i'm more familiar with, i look forward to revisiting some of these issues when i have a better knowledge of the characters.
