This book has potential to be more than just smut... but the story is so rushed that it is like there are pieces missing...

I always try to be honest when writing reviews but I feel bad for what I'm about to say!
This is the first time I've read one of Nicole's books and maybe I'm too harsh but this felt like the script for a porn movie.
The dialogue felt forced otherwise there would only be sex scene after sex scene. What they were saying did not even make sense. The words in the sentences felt out of order and I had to read it a few times to make sense of it.
There was so much potential for this story. If she doubled the amount of chapters, it would have given her time for the characters to fall in love naturally. Sure it was lust at first sight but they could not fall in love with each other so fast. And the fact that the guys at the fire station did not even blink when they realized she was with both of them. Not even her granny got upset with the idea of Bree banging 2 guys at once.
It really felt rushed. I don't know if this was her first book or if she was really young when she wrote this... it just feels off to me some how.
I will give her another chance and read one of her other books as well but this book wasn't one of my favorites. Yes, it got me hot and bothered - nothing wrong with the sex scenes... all though it sort of sounded the same towards the end. It would just have been better if there was some character growth. Even if the 2 guys had a little fight over Bree at first and then decided to share here in the end. For 2 straight guys who's never had a threesome, they willingly went ahead with it without it even being a bit awkward.

Very hot romance, a veritable 5-alarm sizzler!
I received an Advance Reader Copy for 2X the Heat written by Nicole Elliot and voluntarily reviewed this book. What a great little HOT menage read, if these are the type of stories you enjoy!
Bree is the sole caretaker of her grandmother, practically penniless. They were already struggling with their tough life situation, when their apartment building burns down one evening. Fortunately, both were able to escape with their lives intact, but her grandmother needed appropriate care, and the hotel they were to be put up in was not going to last long.
Responding to an apartment building fire one evening, best friends Trent and Caleb happen to spot a beautiful girl standing amongst the group of victims of the fire. They are so instantly taken with her that they approach her, but were pretty much ignored because she was speaking with Red Cross workers just then. After hearty encouragement from her grandmother, however, Bree felt badly enough about her treatment of them and visits their firehouse, apple pie in hand, in order to thank them personally. They immediately demand a date, which she takes them up on. They introduce her to their lustful ways and begin to care more and more for her. But is this a relationship that can go anywhere, especially when Bree has nowhere to live, her grandmother to care for, and no real prospects for the future?

Bree has had a rough life, and things with her grandmother may be getting worse before they get better. One night a fire breaks out in their apartment building, they all get out safely, but the damage is done, they have lost everything. Caleb and Trent are two of the firefighters that first responded. Once they set their sights on Bree, they know that they have to claim her as their own. In ruin, she dismisses them until she realizes that they need her thanks for responding to the fire. Things quickly heat up between the three of them, and this fire is one they don't want to put out. When she can let go of her true feelings, things are looking up rather quickly. I love how they interacted with each other, and how the grandmother always had the right words to say at the right time. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

A very steamy hot book with MFM. I liked the story. It is very fast paces and instant love but it suits the plot and story. It is very well written in a realistic language and usage of words.
There is lots of chemistry, passion, hot scenes and emotions in the book.
I can only recommend it if you like your stories with a bit of an edge in the bedroom and other places.

2X The Heat by Nicole Elliot is a good quick read. This very hot and sexy ménage romance really brings the heat. Trent, Bree and Caleb make an interesting trio. My only wish this story was more fleshed out. Also included is some bonus material. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

One of the best authors I've had the pleasure of reading.
Nicole Elliot has an amazing gift of writing. Her characters are almost life-like, completely believable, with a wonderfully written story. Enough heat to satisfy the coldest of people, and the stories have HEA's that warm your heart. Definitely, grab any books you see by this Author, you won't be disappointed!

This book was OK. The characters and story did not suck me in like they usually do. It almost felt cheesy. I didn't like the ending. Nothing against Nicole, I have read other books of hers and liked them.

Who doesn't love firefighters........
A sweet, poignant and heartwarming ménage romance with plenty of steam. My only complaint is the editing could have been a bit better. Some words were overused and grinded is NOT a word, it's ground.

This was a hot quick read. Bree deserved for someone to love and support as much as her grandmother did. Not only did she find one but two wonderful who put her first. Caleb and Trent was hot caring guys who loved Bree for her and nothing else. The ending was absolutely perfect.

Not for me
The writing style left a lot to be desired. No real cohesive story. I got where they were going with this but it was so choppy that i just couldn't get into this story
