When I first started this book I didn't realise it's part of a series, yet alone it's the 6th instalment. Yet it was so easy to get into! It's the perfect book to relax and just enjoy the story without getting too worked up. In fact when I finished I found myself craving more of this world. So I went and found the rest of the series and started the first one.
There's a lot of sex scenes in this book and they are outright amazing! They pushed all the right buttons and I realised that I've made quite the mistake of reading this in a public space. So I little advice save it for when you'll have privacy and some uninterrupted free time. You'll thank me later ;) But while the sex scenes were scorching hot it was the plot that really got my attention. Had it been only a filler between the sexual interludes I would have still enjoyed the book but wouldn't have been interested in continuing to read the series.

There’s something about the Zandian Masters series that I keep on going back to. It’s my guilty pleasure. Her and Mate and Master wasn’t a favorite of mine, but it was a super easy book to listen to and the narrator is a voice I haven’t heard before. His voice is pretty deep and it fit the alien I imagined in my head.
I don’t usually listen to erotic books on audio, but every now and then I put it on if I am trying to sleep. I’m odd I know.
I think I just didn’t like Talia. I get it, she doesn’t want to be a breeder, but she was too pushy in my opinion. I also thought Tomis wasn’t man enough for her. I get it, he doesn’t want to deflower her, but he does every other thing to her.
I didn’t feel the chemistry.
But that doesn’t mean I’ll stop reading the books!

Why did I wait so long to read this book and then review it? I picked this up because I like the author. I'm used to her kinky stories and thought I'd try her sci-fi/space opera one. I have to admit, it was gloriously enjoyable. This story can be read as a standalone. Fair warning, it may cause a reader to then look for the rest of the series and read it all.
Talia is a determined slave with a plan in mind. She is going to free herself. The story starts out with a bang as she tries to escape. Whilst she has the will and determination, she does not exactly have the way. As in, her plan is not exactly as thought out as she thinks. Luckily for her, she meets Tomis. Tomis has a slightly ulterior motive to save her which quickly becomes apparent in the story.
The pace of this story is a gentle rolling up and down in a smooth cadence. The story seduces a reader and transports them to an alien yet familiar type world. Ms. Rose does a nice job of creating enough differences for sci-fi readers to enjoy whilst keeping enough of the familiar for sci-fi lite readers to understand. The tie for romance readers is most likely the delicious kinky scenes. It isn't a Ms. Rose tale if someone's tail isn't being punished! I enjoyed every lash and discipline. This erotica space opera is recommended to kinky readers who enjoy aliens and maledom.

This book was heavy on the heat, bondage, and punishment, but light on the character connection for me. I thought the romance between Talia and Tomis was lacking and found I had to wade through a lot of sex to try to find a solid story. I wanted to see a deeper bond grow and see the world in more detail. Their attraction seemed to be more crystal base than it did from the heart, which left me … feeling a bit disappointed.
I have to say; I didn’t realize when I choose this book that it was one in a series, so it could be all of this was established in previous books. If you’re looking for a quick, set your knickers on fire Alien erotic read, this will fit the bill perfectly.

When he finds her, and realizes the precarious situation they are in under the influence of the Zandian crystals, they are alternately running and humping their way across the Zandian landscape.
Tomis is faltering to hold on to his honor and duty to prince Zander, and Talia, not remembering who she is, is alternately trying to keep Tomis for herself, and to get away from him.
On their way to their escape point off planet, they encounter danger, beautyful landscape and a huge surprise.
And of course they get their HEA in the end. Slowly but surely the Zandians are finding women to share their life with, and grow their sorely depleted numbers.

This is the sixth book in this series and I have to say I can't get enough of those Zandians! Honestly, I've never much enjoyed sci-fiction romance so I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this series. Then again maybe its because it's Renee Rose. This is definitely a series that is best read in order so you can truly understand just how important Talia is to the Zandian race. Of course, it's no surprise that Talia wants to be treated as more than just a breeder and might actually want to be valued and loved as much as any other being. I'm definitely looking forward to more in this series especially now that we now there may be more Zanadians that have survived and have yet to be discovered.

This was a very fast paced, quick read. The book is sixth in the series, and a standalone. A majority of the book takes place in Zandia. This was a nice change from previous books because we are given more information about the planet.
Tomis and Talia had really good chemistry as noted by their inability to refrain from vecking. There was an underlying level of tension as Tomis and Talia worked their way across the planet. Along with a couple of tense escape scenes, and a few surprises, this book will keep you engaged.

This book was a hot read. The series has progressed and evolved, the males have softened making their dominance sexier. While the women are now strong, wild, intelligent like Talia and in need of a firm hand, or other firm body parts, or firm things lying around that can be used in or on body parts. I loved the change to Zandia, and have been waiting to read when someone finally got their feet on the planet.

Aliens Galore
Tomis is a cutie. For a warrior, he comes across as being tough but without that truly dominant edge of the other males in this series. Which isn't a bad thing; I enjoyed him.
Talia is strong, feisty, and I think she's the perfect match for her warrior.

This is the first book I've read in this series and by this author. It's definitely not something I typically read (I'm not usually one for sci fi) but I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did.
The book is short, but not so short that the book lacks character development that you usually see with some shorter books. While the book is incredibly fast paced, you can still watch Talia and Tomis start to come together. You watch them (mostly Tomis) fight the attraction to each other and then eventually what happens when they can't fight the attraction.

Welcome back to the world of Zandians. In this book, Tomis is off to Zandia to rescue Talia, who is the daughter of Master Seke, Prince Zander's weapons master. When last we saw the Zandians, the Finn had shown them Talia changed to the wall and told them that they would give her up if Zander surrendered himself.
Tomis, one of Zander's warriors, is automatically drawn to Talia, and knows that he has to be the one who rescues Talia, so he sneaks off to Zandia. Meanwhile, Talia, who was raised as a slave named Ray and had no clue who she was, is chained to the wall in the throne room and marched naked past all the male prisoners every night.
Tomis gets tossed in one of the cells and manages to break Talia out. Even though he is attracted to her, he tells her that he has to take her to the Prince so he can decide what to do with Talia, since she is the only surviving female Zandian of childbearing age. Talia is not all that thrilled about that, and thinks she's going to end up as a brood mare when all she wants is Tomis. When she tries to run away from him, Tomis has to punish Talia, which they both end up enjoying.
I really like the Zandian series. This one is a slight departure from the rest of the series, since both the main characters are Zandian. It also takes place almost exclusively on Zandia, so we learn more about the planet. Like all of Renee's books, it's really well-written and all the sex scenes are hot, hot, hot. I particularly like the scene in the waterfall, myself. This is a great addition to a very good series.

This is one hot steamy book.Talia is the last Zandian female for breeding and Tomis volunteers to resue her and bring her back but she has needs and Tomis cannot touch her she isn't his.
Talia is one strong feisty woman and mouthy that she earns severe punshishments for her actions pulling every string she can to get to break Tomis control.I couldn't put it down just waiting to see whats going to happen next some of it was so intense,and the chemistry with these to together was off the charts hot.I want more!!!!! The writing is very descriptive and the this installment of this series is just fantastic.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book

This was a hot, sexy read. Poor Talia didn't even know she was Zandian until recently, much less that she was one of the only female Zandians left... her owner made her believe she was human. She had no memories of Zandia, or of her father who was now searching for her. Tomis didn't know Talia, all he knew was that as soon as he saw a picture of the imprisoned female Zandian, he had to go save her. What follows is a fun and exciting tale of capture and rescue, running and hiding on an enemy planet, and the journey to home, and maybe...love?

Talia is a Zandian female of child baring age and very important to her people although she does not know it. Taken as a child and raised as a slave named Ray she is surly and none to happy about the possibility of being rescued only to be taken home to be a brood mare to help repopulate the planet. Was a great reading adventure.

I have been reading Renee Rose's books for years and she never dissapoints. She has painted such a vivid picture of a very different world in Zander and the other planets and people. Talia and Tomis have sparks flying from their very first meet which turn into true love. The twists and turns of the story kept my attention from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

I've loved the whole Zandian Masters series. You should really read the entire series. What I especially liked was the feistiness of Talia, the protectiveness of Tomis, and how sexually combustible they are together. 🔥🔥🔥 I also loved the angstiness! This wasn't a long read, but it was chock-full of everything you expect from a Renee Rose book- a great story, developed characters, and off the chart sexiness!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

A short, fun addition to this alien series. Nothing too serious to read but a nice steamy alien read. This series has been good. I enjoy the concept and this one did not disappoint. The connection between Tomis and Talia is fun and light. The steamy scenes were on point for Ms. Rose. Altogether, a nice afternoon book to settle into.

I love this series! Her Mate and Master is the sixth book and pretty tame compared to some of the others. Tomis and Talia were into each other almost from the start. Their little adventure was not without some punishments scenes but nothing too horrible. I liked the characters and they definitely had chemistry. I enjoyed this romance and look forward to the next book of the series.

A fairly quick read in this series, which I think I've said before I enjoy.
Both Tomis and Talia need to be open and honest with each other but of course aren't. But they get there in the end.
Our first view of the genocidal Finn who I hope and of course know will get theirs.
Nice to get a peek at our old friends, Lamira, Zander and of course Talia's dad Zeke.
All in all enjoyable.

This is a series that caught me unawares. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I have. I have found myself awaiting each and every new novel in the series. With "Her Mate Her Master" we find Tomis, has infiltrated occupied Zandia to search for Talia, the long lost daughter of Master Seke, thought killed when Zandia was invaded and genocide of the Zandian Race began. King Fluut, ruler of the Finn, has decreed the clock is ticking on Talia's life, There is just a few days left before her execution.
Fast paced, short read is a story that pulls you in from the very beginning. You get to find the Zandians gathering to take their home world back. Discover perhaps the world is not as empty as believed. Their is hope for the future.

Least favorite
I have enjoyed all the ZandianMasters books, but I was a little disappointed in this installment. In the email announcing this book's release. Renée said that all they want to do is have sex and that is the problem I have with this book. I enjoy a sex scene as well as the next person, but it got to where I was skipping them to try and find some story too.
In the other books you could get to know the MC's through their conversation and actions,here the female is in a sort of heat and, although she is a virgin or was, all she wants is sex; so there aren't many conversations not centered around sex or punishment. I just found it odd that Talia wasn't a bit freaked out by all of a sudden wanting nothing but sex. She apparently never felt that way before, but she never seemed to find it all that disturbing, even when she was aroused by hanging naked on the Finn kings wall.
If you like a lot of sex and not much else, you will love this story.

Another problem for me(and I see I am in the minority) is how much emphasis Tomis puts on how he, not a noble, could never be allowed to mate her, and how Master Seke would surely beat him if her touches Talia, yet there is no conflict at all when he announces he mated her. Big build up with no finishing bang. Tomis also thinks that the prince might want to mate her himself....did he forget the prince was already mated(and loves his mate)?
I just felt no connection to either character.

I truly enjoy Renee Rose's work she shows her characters flaws as well as their strengths. She sets a scene of suspense and drama. Yet she never loose her touch with emotional and romantic scenes as well.

Her Mate and Master is the sixth book of Renee Rose’s Zandian Masters series. So far, I’ve been completely blown away by this series, and I’m not an overly huge fan of Sci Fi romance, but Renee Rose has a way of making these books way more exciting than the average Sci-Fi romance, and come on, it’s just fun to go around saying Veck all of the time!
Talia has been a prisoner of King Fluut of the evil and ugly Fenn for a while now. He has her stripped naked and hung on a cross for everyone to see. Her problem is now that she’s on her home planet, the crystals are having a strange effect on her, and she doesn’t like it.
Tomis is a Zandian warrior who risks his life to rescue Talia. After all, not only is she his mentor’s daughter, but she’s the last female of their species! That means she’s too good for the likes of him. She has to be turned over to the prince for mating, or given to a suitable candidate. Problem is, not only doesn’t Talia know who or what she really is since she was kidnapped as a babe, she most certainly doesn’t want to be given to some man for breeding! So she attempts to escape Tomis at every turn, and ends up paying for it in the end. This was a wonderful read from Ms. Rose, and both characters had me laughing, smiling and it was a book I just couldn’t put down until the end!

As I already mentioned in His Human Vessel: the purple (hot) guys kind of grow on you. The story picks up from the fifth part, where Seke finds out that maybe his daughters are not dead. Tomis volunteers to try to find Talia on the planet Zandia.
In Her Mate and Master we meet Ray, who is unaware of the fact that she is a Zandian princess, called Talia. She is being held prisoner by Finn and she doesn't know that she is the last remaining female Zandian. When she is rescued by Tomis, she feels an instant attraction to the guy with the same purple skin as her own.
Tomis has learned from his master Seke that the way to treat woman is to discipline them by spanking. But why is Talia getting aroused everytime he tries to discipline her? Is it the crystals on the planet? Or do they really have some chemistry? Hold on to your panties, to make sure they don't melt.
