Fifth book in the Alpha Series (You can read as standalone)
I enjoyed this story! At first I thought it was a cute paranormal romance with a spin on the Bachelor and The Selection storylines, but then the intrigue and mystery portion of the story started and I quickly became determined to figure everything out.
The storyline is detailed and this world is very creative and graphic. Reading about the differences in appearance (especially eye colors) between the packs was quite interesting and left me wondering about the importance of color between the packs and if it was a symbol of alpha status, The characters were well developed and fun to read about! I would love to learn more about Fate, Brynn, Zariah and the other Alphas..oh and Flynn! There seems to be something about him. The only thing I was not a huge fan of was that we didn't learn details about Malik's mom and I thought the last discovery/situation was a bit pat🙈.
With that though, I would certainly read more from their author and would love to learn more about these Alphas and packs!
AWESOME! The Alpha SERIES is a exciting story to read. But I have to tell you that each book can be read as a standalone, but if you want to understand, enjoy and get the most entertainment out of each story I would start at book 1 and I can guarantee you won't be able to stop turning page after page until you finish reading these captivating story. This story features Malik and Aria Quade. Malik is known as the Alpha of Love. His a blue eyes and beautiful muscle body is panty melting gorgeous of course he is a ladies man he is after all the alpha of love. Aria is really a book geek and she is pretty, sassy and has a talent for breaking the rules in this contest. There is a contest where two girls from each Pack are selected to represent themselves and their pack’s morals, the contest doesn't involve love or finding the Alpha's fated mate it's just to determine who is best suited for Alpha Malik Luna. But fate always steps in.The story is suspenseful, full of secrets, there is a twist, it's mysterious, the pace is just right, it's well written and develop. It will put a smile on your face and give you a laugh as you read the antics that the characters get into. The characters are so exciting, realistic, likable, they will make you laugh and enjoy reading this story. I really enjoyed Malik and Aria characters, Midika Crane allowed the tension and chemistry to build slow to fever pitch between Malik and Aria, before revealing that they are fated mates. Even through the romance is sweet, the sensual scenes aren't explicit as some, but the story is still for readers 18 and over. I really enjoyed reading this series, I'm so happy I received a ARC copy from inkitt. I have enjoy every Alpha story I have read, You are pulled immediately into the story, Author Midika Crane is very talented, she creates awesome werewolf worlds. I highly recommend this Author books. I am excited to read another alpha story in this series!
This is book five in a series, and have had the opportunity to read a few of the others, but not all. Though I was not able to read all of them, I was still able to keep up. It was not difficult to figure things out, though, and didn't take me all that long. I was drawn in to the story from the start, but found my mind wandering a few times as I read. Though this happened a few times, I still found myself drawn back in and enjoyed the story.
I don't read many paranormal books, especially paranormal romance, and even fewer that are werewolf themed. But I tried it out before and found it worthwhile, thus seeing this latest book I was ready to continue the story. Unlike in previous books in the series where I had a hard time emotionally connecting to the main characters, this time I was able to connect immediately. I am not sure what was different this time, if the writing has improved with each book, or if I have learned to like this genre more. But the storyline caught my attention and the characters brought it to life for me, and I found myself not wanting to put it down.
The author writes freely and with little error in mechanics and grammar. I was not overly distracted by the writing style and felt it flowed smoothly. As I said before, she paid great attention to detail in the first half of the book, making it far more enjoyable to me than the rest, but the second half was not bad, by any means. It was just not as good as the first half, being that it was not fully expanded.
If you are fan of this genre of books, this is one you will enjoy. If you are looking for a book with mystery and romance both, this is it. Definitely worth the read.
**I received an ARC of this book from Inkitt in exchange for an honest review.**
Wow! This book has put me on edge from beginning until the end. At first, the plot seemed similar to another famous book, but as I continue reading, I discovered several twists that kept my heart beating fast. The first few chapters might be a bit slow but after you get past the FMC’s background, every chapter was something to look forward to. Aria’s introverted personality is something we’ve read a lot about in the past, but don’t be deceived. Though she appeared to be inexperienced, she’s fierce and unstoppable—a force to reckon with. The entire competition, she chose to stay away from the limelight yet she was able to capture Malik’s attention. I liked her from the beginning, but I liked her even more when she allied with Zariah. Together, they broke plenty of rules to satisfy their curiosity and their scenes (plans) added beauty to the story.
With Fate stealing his thunder (which in my opinion his presence is unnecessary, or at least his confession to Aria), and Aria getting a lot of attention because of her antics, Malik’s character is somewhat downplayed in this story. I like him and his devotion to Aria, but I believed that there are more about him than what was written; several questions that I haven’t found the answers even after finishing the book. The plot, the theme, the pacing, I find them all good and I won’t hesitate to read another book from this author.
Alpha’s Malik is the fifth book in the Alpha series of books. This can be read as a standalone book. This book is about Aria and Malik. It starts off with Aria’s friend Alexa trying to convince her she needed to have some fun in her life, so Alexa is trying to convince Aria to enter the contest to be the mate of the Alpha of Love. Since the odds of actually being picked are so small Aria finally agrees to enter the contest with Alexa. After Alexa leaves, Aria is going to throw the completion form away and just forget about it. She wants a normal life and doesn’t think she has a chance so it is a waste to even try. But as she is taking the trash down she is kidnapped and finds she has to do the competition or something might happen to her family. It continues on with Aria for quite a while before switching to Malik’s point of view so I will leave you to read it and meet Malik.
This book is good. The stories develop quickly and draw the reader right in. The background is clear and the characters come alive right away. If you love paranormal romances, then I would recommend this book to you. If you are a werewolf fan, then this should be on your to read list of books.
Alpha Malik by Midika Crane Review Where oh where will I find my mate???
Two girls from each Pack have been selected to represent themselves and their pack’s morals, to determine who is best suited for Alpha Malik. After being kidnapped and abused by an unruly rogue organization, Aria is forced to enter a competition where a prize is a man who has given up all hopes of finding his mate. Malik is known as the Alpha of Love, and now Aria must compete against girls from every Pack, for his attention. To save her own life, and his too, she must complete a mission that will force her into the Alpha's arms. However, a twist in the game will change everything.
What did I like? This is my third book of this series and I plan on getting the last two and hopefully more, as I have really enjoyed each book. As I have stated before I like the writing style of this author, she builds strong very developed characters and charms you into loving them.
What will you like? Every book in this series has featured the Alpha leader of that pack and the author treats each so different. Of course, they are supposed to be as their packs are different in each of the seasons and the reality of each…. Love is featured here. As we all know every person has a mate that they were born to live to eternity with, Malik and Aria have not found theirs yet. This is a beautiful, complicated and serious search for those mates and the trip is so filled with mystery and intrigue. Even after they find their mate the journey to happy ever after is unbelievable! One thing is for sure, these old bones could never live in The LOVE pack…. TOOOOOO DARN COLD! I received this from the editor for an honest review with no other compensation. I will update again when I finish the next book.
I received this book as an arc from the author and this is my honest review.
This book was excellent. It was filled with mystery and intrigue. A mate is forever and Aria wishes to find hers but she has many obstacles in her way, foremost being her shyness. She is kind and soft spoken, bookish too. Her friend urges her to enter the competition to become Luna, to hopefully fall in love, she agrees with plans of tossing her audition papers. Fate has other plans. Craziness ensues as she is forced to enter and steal a necklace from the Alpha. That's not all, she has to stay in the competition till she reaches her goal, and most importantly- not fall in love with Malik, the Alpha.
There is all sorts of secrets and heavily kept ones at that. I don't want to spoil them for you, just know that they're kind of explosive both beautiful and terrifying ones too. I couldn't put the book down because of them and if the authors other books are so plot charged I wish to read them too, that's for sure!
Anyway, read this book, you won't regret it. Especially if you like intrigue and a dash f humor with your Alpha goodness and kickass heroines!
Alpha Malik by Midika Crane is a fast-moving book that has really great characters. Very well written. I liked the over all arc of this story. Malik is intense, and I like that Aria is not a doormat she is a strong woman with her own mind. Aria, she likes books. She bakes. She wants to find her perfect mate. Fall in love. She wants to be safe have a level-headed alpha. She has given up on finding a mate she now just wants safety. When she finds the alpha is looking for a new Luna her best friend convinces her to try out. Aria is not sure alphas are for her though. She ends up getting abducted. And she has to retrieve a necklace for her captures. She can walk free after that. If she refuses they will kill her family. Malik likes that Aria does not cower to him. He likes her spunk. He doesn’t know she has another motive for being with him. But he finds himself falling for her. This story kept me on the edge of my seating wanting to know what will happen next. There is love, intrigue, a little suspense thrown in too. A great read I would love to highly recommend.
found this story to be rather confusing with so many plots and sub-plots. All the wolf packs have odd names. Malik is the Alpha of the Love Pack and his mother and father (who really aren't his parents at all) have set up a competition to get him mated. Aria is chosen as one of the competitors and a really nasty man has said that she must steal a certain necklace of Maliks to give to him or he will kill her parents (who are really her parents either). Like I said, confusing. Then Aria finds out that Fate, who is a person, has set up all this because he has fallen in love with her. Malik and Aria run away to the other packs, because his phony mother has been poisoned and his phony father wants to kill him. They eventually return to the pack and Malik kills his phony father. Fate shows Aria two possible futures for her and she ends up staying with Malik. I received an Advanced copy of this book from Inkitt and am freely and voluntarily writing this review.
Ok first off this book is suppose to be about wolves yet the only thing actually happens about wolves is using the talk. They talk about alphas and Luna and pack, mates and that’s as far as it gets. There is no shifting or fighting as actual wolves. Everything is basically human lives. Then the story line is kind of everywhere she starts off talking about a girl and finding her mate and than all of a sudden she is kidnapped by a rouge and given this task and told she will be killed if she doesn’t do what they say. And than she is in this completion and all of a sudden “fate” shows up as a physical being-what the hell. Than lots of driving around to get away and all of a sudden we are just gunna go back. I’m sorry just not very good, boring and not at all realistic to believe.
Midika Crane is a new-to-me author. I am a big fan of the paranormal, so when I got a copy of Alpha Malik via Inkitt, I knew I needed to sit down and read it. This book was a really interesting read. The packs are each named after an attribute, such as Loyalty or Love, and depending on what pack you're in, you live either where it's really hot or really cold. I found that to be a neat aspect of the book. Every time I started to put the book down so I could do something else, I found myself getting sucked into the story line. There are a few plot twists I totally didn't see coming and I absolutely loved that! All in all, a great read!
It was all contrived but had already been set in stone before it began. Or was there more? This book will blow your mind and you will have a hard time understanding why Aria doesn’t just stop the madness once she gets a clue. Malik is conflicted from the start, but holds to the plan...until he can't any longer Fate runs amuk! The characters are definitely those you will never guess at until you’ve read the book. The suspense is killer and though this is about packs, you never see anyone shifting…but one. All I can say is totally awesome, and you’ll want to read the other books in the series as I plan to do.
Loved this book! Malik was such a flirt in the other books that it was hard to take him serious at first, but once he found Aria. It was obvious to my as a reader that they were mates but as a young man used to being alone-ish I can see why he wouldn't get it. The fact that he had given up on a true mate was kind of disheartening since is the Alpha of Love. Their story is just as good if not better than the others. His attention to her is so unlike what we saw in the other books. I was happy for them at each date. I fell in love with Fate in this book. I felt so sorry for him yet I was little angry at him at the same time. I got this book from Inkitt.
I really enjoyed this story. This is the 4th book that I have read in this series and this is one of my favorites. I like that I am getting to know the pack and all of their roles. I like how this story doesn’t leave you hanging. I like that Aria is so innocent. It makes this all more believable.
What I like about this series is there is order to the packs. Everyone has a role and a way of like, and the more you read the more you understand. I also like that they have a “mate”. I like the search for the mate and the charge they feel when they find their mate. The story lines are getting better as we meet each alpha….very enjoyable read.
I was given the ARC of this book for a review, and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised with this book. If werewolves hosted The Bachelor this book would be a perfect representation of it, there's only one guy and about twenty girls competing fro his attention. And if trying to win a competition isn't enough, there is also the Rouge organization that somehow got Aria selected and a mysterious list that appears to show who the winner will be. It nicely paced book that kept me interested with every chapter and is defiantly making me want to read the rest of the Alpha series.
This was a very good story, much more in depth than I originally thought from the synopsis. It covers such a broad range of topics, though it centers on Aria and Malik. If you enjoy romance and adventure then this is definitely one you must add to your list of what to read next! I greatly enjoyed the vivid descriptions of each scenario and how the characters were wonderfully brought to life. The passion and suspense used to bring the reader deeper into the plot line and keep them enthralled was stunningly written. The unexpected twists and turns making the journey that much more enjoyable!
I received an exclusive free ARC copy of this book for review. I have to say, once again LOVE all the clans names, I just can not seem to get enough of them. This story is of Aria and Malik. One that is not such an easy task as Aria is placed in an auction of sorts to vie for the love of Malik. There are a lot of twists and turns that you won't want to miss, so I suggest you get to reading. If you haven't read the other books in the series, you may want to start there so you can see how Fate, really works :-) Happy Reading
For me, this book started off a bit slow but after that it got better and better. The whole concept of the competition wasn't my favorite thing in the book but it did bring everything together in the end. I did, however, love the ending and the last few chapters after the competition ended. One of my favorite characters in the book is fate because he brought a whole new twist to everything in the book. All in all, it was a great book and I can't wait to read more books in the Alpha series.
I done even know why I kept reading. I mean this is suppose to be paranormal werewolf book, right? But where were all of the character’s wolfs? Saying alpha this and pack that were basically just that nicknames/titles. The hero was pretty weak as an overall character and then you have a random character pop up out of nowhere. Other than one small almost wolf scene; this novel was too humanized. A bit too wannabe Bachelor and the twist in the story wasn’t great or good at all, it was “eh”.
I've been waiting on Malik's story for ages and it did not disappoint! He's so much more than all the previous novels gave him credit. I did, however, feel as if a lot of questions went unanswered, so it'd be nice if those were cleared up in future stories. Also, I really hope Fate gets his own novel! There's so much more depth to him than I imagined! Of course, Aria is a star. She's such a cool character!
What a completely wonderful way to tie in Malik, Aria and even Fate’s story. Wow. The complex depth of this series hits a whole new level. You are a literary genius and I can only hope you continue a story for each Alpha and his Luna. I hope to see this book series turn into a show where each season is one book about the one Alpha and Luna. That would just be so splendid!!!
One of the best books / series ever. I remember the first time I read Malik, I was compleatly in love with him and the other books. It's diffrent from the other werewolf books I ever read. They are all lincked together, but you can also read them separately. The way the story floods, the drama, and the love story itself is pretty captivating. A book to kill for!
She was abused and then forced into a competition to end up with an Alpha who they call the Alpha of love. Things get interesting and surprising. He finds out his mate was closer than he always thought she was. It is exciting, fun, suspenseful and will keep your attention. I really liked it and recommend it. I was given a copy by Inkitt and voluntarily review it.
Awesome addition to the series. She has been kidnapped and abused. Then forced to enter a competition for an Alpha who the call the alpha of love. She has to compete against other girls. It is exciting, funny, suspenseful, deceitful and so much more. I recommend it. I was given a review copy by Inkitt and voluntarily review it.
There was some hints of today's reality tv mixed in with the paranormal. The games that determines who will be mated to the alpha. This fifth book of the series tells us a little bit about not seeing what has been before our eyes. Aria was there all this time and Malik was just too blind to see. I did very much enjoy this one. I am looking forward to more.
I liked the story better in this book compared to “alpha Grayson or Landon” but very disappointed in the lack of steamy romance scenes. Alfa kaden and Mara has way more sexy scenes which is not what I would have expected from the “love pack” stud described in the other books. I loved Malik but some stuff didn’t really add up in this book and questions not answered.
First time reading this author. A big thank you to Exclusive ARC . I voluntarily reviewed this book. I rate this a 4.5. Truly enjoyed the book there were a few rough spots but considering I haven't read the others in the series thought it was really good. Reads to me almost as a stand alone.
This book progressed supper slow. Although I'm glad they didn't hate each other from the get go I thought the whole no touching because of the competition was a terrible way to drag out when they would finally come together.
