Possibility dawns in uncertainty.

At least that’s what the United States President is banking on when he sends archaeologist Belkis Finch on a mission to uncover the greatest find of the century. Belkis, his doting daughter, and his granddaughter with a thirst for knowledge that rivals his own, set out to examine documents found in the recently discovered Hall of Records.

They aren’t alone. An adversary lurks in the shadows, waiting for his opportunity to claim the discovery as his own. Will Belkis and his family safely return with their prize, or will evil prevail?

The Hall of Records beneath the great Egyptian Sphinx has finally been located and breached. Now, who will win the race to translate the scrolls? Well written and exciting.

🤔Moderately satisfied.

2.5/5

Young Caitlyn loved being reunited with her grandfather Belkis Finch.

They were in Egypt, in front of the Sphinx, with Cora, Caitlyn's mother.
They were about to visit the structure under the monument...

------------------

This is not at all the prequel I expected, having already read volume 1 of the series.

We find the characters of Caitlyn and her grandfather in a tragic event that will turn their lives upside down.

The end of the novelette brings us some elements of the Genesis Project, without more...
I found volume 1 much enjoyable to read...

a good read and very interesting subject. Dr Finch with one of his daughters and his niece are in Egypt to uncover certain scrolls . After taking pictures they return to their hotel. During the evening terrorists attack trying to get the information that had been recorded using the Doctor's daughter as a hostage. It appears that his daughter is killed in an exchange of fire with government troops. Dr Finch Returns to the US and find that the president of the US has a Team in place to translate the documents that had been recorded. Everyone awaits as to the outcome.

Fast paced mystery that hooks from the begining

I found the storyline very interesting. I would like to continue ahead and see what happens. To they figure things out and what further problems do they face.
If you like a fast pace story that catches you right from the get go, give this a try.

I enjoyed this short, action packed novella. Though the plotline of the aged archeologist going to Egypt and getting in over his head is well worn, this book nonetheless brings new twists and new energy to that plot. The result is a very good book that seems like, when you are finished, it was much longer. I am now interested in the remainder of this series.

Short Intro to Book

This short prequel sets the stage for the first book, in what I assume will be a series of books.

I will be reading the first book as this did get my attention and interest. I can’t say that I will stick with it, but here’s hoping the story gets good.

Get Prepared for an Exciting Adventure

Project Genesis is the perfect introduction into the futuristic world of discovery, both for science and mankind. This quick read gives the reader just enough information to get invested in the characters and want to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading what becomes of Belkis and his precocious granddaughter, Caitlyn, in The Cost of Survival.
