When Kieran McMenamin, a young man with no moral compass and an outstanding drug debt, decided to rob an elderly woman he could not envisage the path of violence he followed that would lead to murder. While the police sought McMenamin they had to deal with a man who also hunted him, but with his own vengeful agenda.
George Donald, Glasgow born, left school aged 15. Enlisting in the army aged 17 years, he served as a Royal Engineer Commando from 1971 to 1977. Upon his discharge, George joined Strathclyde Police where he served for 22 years, including 16 years as a CID officer.
Medically discharged in 1999, George returned to the police in 2001 and to date, works in a civilian administrative roll. Happily married for over thirty years to Anne and now residing in Hamilton, George is the proud father of three daughters, two sons in law, one fiancé and grandfather to Evie.
Another ripping yarn from George Donald, I love this guys writing style. He tells a great story and gives your great characters. In this book we meet a few old friends as a drugs dealer goes on a crime spree and a relative of one of his victims comes home to revenge his act. The story keeps your enthralled and the characters are all very real people. You can see GDs knowledge of the police and the city coming to the fore. Throw in a huge drug deal going down and you get a page turning story !
I enjoy reading all of this author's books, and this one is no exception. Very likeable characters, as well as the very unpleasant ones. Another riveting read.
