Bear Mountain Baby

Rate this book
He might be the sexiest bear on the mountain, but he doesn’t want to raise another man’s baby!
Ian
I’m pissed my brothers let this runaway bride into our life. I can’t be responsible for a pregnant lady, no matter how hot she is. Protecting her is a fool’s errand. I’ve learned from experience. My life is better without a woman in it. And her baby? Screw that. I want nothing to do with them. Except maybe a one night stand….

Olivia
I have to escape my future husband. I can’t let him harm this baby like he harms me. And now this mysterious man that is the only one that can protect me, wants nothing to do with me. He is cold and distant. The last thing he wants is to be responsible for another man’s child. But when we touch the chemistry cannot be denied. I can’t stop thinking about him being inside of me. But how do I get inside of his heart?

Bad editing; the spelling and grammar drove me crazy. I actually forced myself to finish this book; I wanted to quit pretty early on, but kept going in hopes it would improve. Nope.

I don't understand the reviews of this book: the characters weren't very sympathetic. You hardly spend any time in the H's head or getting to know him, and don't until the last quarter of the book (even then it's not much). The h is so weak (both morally and of spine), that I'm not sure why she was an h instead of a side story. At one point she looks in a mirror and sees her beautiful face. Vain much? She also drinks alcohol and coffee while pregnant and then breastfeeding... And somehow heals quickly enough to have sex within a "few weeks" of giving birth (takes six for those who don't know). Oh, and she miraculously drops all the baby weight and gets her "slim, toned shape" back within those few weeks. The author also kept forgetting whether the h was married, as it seemed to change every chapter or so.

This book was just a mess.

I really loved the story line, Shifters vs Mafia. I read the first book with Atticus and Tessa and was looking forward to each of the guys finding their mates. So, I was surprised that two of the brothers had found their mates and were expecting babies. I was not surprised that the family saved Olivia from imminent death. I actually laughed when she came to and saw the brothers standing over her and she started screaming. Three huge men standing over me when I open my eyes would scare the heck outta me too. I was confused about her and Brody's actual status. She said she left him at the alter, more or less, but when he went to get her back he called her his wife and further on Ian, having a conversation with himself, says she's married. She really was blessed with Noah. Such a calm and happy baby. I loved, loved the ending. There is so much I could say about that, but it would spoil the story.

This story grabbed my attention from the first page and didn't let go. The characters are wonderfully developed and relate-able. The excitement starts on the first page, and you become very invested in Olivia's life from the get-go. There is drama and humor throughout. There is also a lot of sexy times. The story is well written and has a great pace. It kept my interest easily and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. Any lover of paranormal romance is going to really enjoy this book. It is a stand alone, I haven't read any of the other books in the series and I didn't feel like the story was lacking any important details from previous book. I would still recommend reading them in order because the other characters from previous books are very much a part of this one.

Wonderful

Wonderful Story, Enjoyable from the first page on.
Any of them Sexy Swift brothers can protect me anytime, lol
It's always the quiet brooding one to watch out for though and Ian definitley fits the bill in this story.

Olivia starts the story running for her life. She has no idea shes running from mobsters straight into a bears lair so to speak. And omg thank goodness she does.

Mystery, Danger, Mobsters and Bears will keep you entertained. And it ends with a Great HEA.

Mature readers will enjoy the steam level at the end.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of the book by its author.

Good story but...

I really liked this story but the book so poorly written/edited I just got too annoyed. Unfortunately it contained many of my pet peeves from books...wrong character names. I must don't know how you get the names of your own characters mixed up or just plain wrong. Also the author kept alternating between Olivia being married to Brody and not being married. Again, this is stuff that the author or a good editor should really catch before publishing. So bottom line, I give the story a solid 4☆, but rest was a 1☆ at best, averaging it out to a 2.

Noah and Olivia were fantastic to read about! Olivia left an abusive situation while pregnant and met a group of shifters who took her in. The characters were fun to read about and well developed and likeable. Olivia and Noah had great chemistry as we watched their relationship develop. There was lots of action with great storyline with a HEA. This was truly a fun read. I am leaving a voluntary review of an ARC I received from the author.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it and didn't want to put it down!! Well written plot, funny moments, endearing characters, makes this an irresistible story you won't want to put down. The main characters has a great well described chemistry between them but they also both have a past that they have to handle before they can have a future together.
Looking forward to reading more from Sky Winters.

Another HEA Near Shifter Story

Olivia and Ian had meet after she was let into the compound while running away from her ex. They both felt the pull to each other, but Ian didn't want anything to do with her since she was carrying another man's baby. That was until they spent some alone time together and she was taken back to her ex against her will.

Bear Mountain Baby is an excellent story! I really enjoyed reading it. It has a very tense action filled storyline and the erotic scenes are really hot! I recommend it to anyone over 18 in the mood for love!

The bonus stories included are bound to be just as good. This book will keep you busy for a long time. Enjoy!

Bear Mountain Baby takes you back to the sexy Swift brothers.
Olivia is pregnant & on the run from her violent gangster boyfriend. She stumbled upon the Swift compound & they offer her sanctuary. Everyone is kind to her except for Ian. He's quite, broody & not happy with having Olivia there!
This book is full of suspense, danger, babies, gangsters & bears.

I really liked this book, along with the series I just wished they were longer so they went into some more detail along with more background to the characters. In saying that this is still a great quick read with a loving HEA and I like how the characters from the previous books.

This...

This book has a phenomenal group of stories from different series. Bear Mountain Baby was non stop action and excitement, with romance interwoven through it. I read and enjoyed each story.

A lot of errors. Mixing up names and not following what was written in book 1. Good story line, though.

This was the first book I have read in this series and I can't wait now to read the others.

Olivia is 8 months pregnant and in order to save herself and that of her unborn child she goes on the run on the day she was supposed to marry her abusive fiancé, who happens to also be a killer for a mob. Ian is a bear shifter that is dealing with a heartbreaking loss, that leaves Olivia feeling that he is less than happy that she unexpectedly showed up at their compound on Bear Mountain.

Olivia feels an attraction to Ian that she can't explain, she knows there must be a reason for his less than welcoming behavior, but trying to get him to talk to her is no easy task. Will spending time alone together in a vacation home away from the compound to keep Olivia ad her baby safe bring them closer together? Can Ian keep her safe when trouble seems to follow them? Will Ian be able to put the pain from his loss aside and truly look at what his feelings for Olivia really are?

If you are looking for a story that will keep you reading because you have to see what happens next, this is it.

••••••••••••••
This is a new author for me and her writing is fantastic, there is everything in this mind blowing book - Adventure, Survival, Fear, Betrayal, Suspense, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Love, so much Drama, Sacrifice, Wowzer!
Olivia Willet is the human that's nine months pregnant and running, she was about to be married but the soon to be groom is violent and abusive, he would slap her around leaving bruises. She had to run if he could hit a pregnant woman what would he do with the baby she had to go she didn't want her child to live with an abusive father. She didn't get far before he found her, holding her stomach she took off running in the woods. He was chasing  her with his goons they were so close. It was like a miracle that Olivia ran into a gate locked in front of a compound
she was crying and begging on the intercom to let her in..
Ian Swift is a Bear Shifter who lives with the whole family in a compound. There's a lot of people there and children Atticus is there Alpha. Ian is the lone bear basically he's the only one I unmarried, and he has no intentions of change that. Sometimes fate changes the life that you were leading.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
