Montana Rescue by Elle James
A retired SEAL joins the Protection unit as a sleeping SEAL. An undercover situation.
It’s a bit poignant to wonder who is getting rescued from the title. Is it the hero or heroine? Without spoilers - both. The job comes to the SEAL as he stares over the edge of a cliff and wonders what his life is about. The heroine comes home after years away and is emotionally distraught.
Over and above the emotional rescue, there is a threat from a terrorist and a local gang. The pair team up and the attraction is instant. Rescue ensues.
I’m glad these two found and can support each other.

Montana Rescue is the seventeenth exciting tale in The Brotherhood Protector series and book 6 in the Sleeper SEALs series, and a tale of loyalty and courage, and looming threats jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. This story not only highlights the fierce devotion of its alpha heroes but also emphasises the importance of connection and resilience against a backdrop of uncertainty and danger.
Montana Rescue is high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, and suspense. Along this journey, a team of former military heroes dedicated their lives to protecting others. I am loving this series, and the characters are sexy in this series. It's Insta-love, but still a good read.
The camaraderie, their loyalty to each other, make for more than a brotherhood, it makes them family.

This was another excellent action packed romantic story in the multi author Sleeper SEALs series with this one centering around Caleb Mad Dog a DEAL no longer because of a bad knee. He lost everything he loved when he scrubbed out so he rented a cabin in Colorado to figure out what he would do with the rest of his life. He was contemplating jumping off a cliff when Hank, his friend approached him with news about someone that wanted to offer him a job handing him a phone. Caleb called Commander Lambert and he offered him a job with the CIA's sleeper group that was taking down a terrorist before he killed a CIA operative in Montana. Caleb accepted this offer and headed to Montana to help this CIA agent, Jolie Richards, and take down this terrorist, Nadir. This op have Mad Dog purpose in life and Jolie ended up being the love of his life. This story was amazing as these two worked together, saving each other's lives with Hank's organizations help to take down the terrorist that was after Jolie at her ranch where she baited him to go. Caleb gave Jolie his love and she now was no longer alone as she loved him too. This was a fantastic romantic action packed thriller as Caleb and Jolie got their happily ever after at her childhood home,Rocking R ranch in Montana and killed the terrorist, Nadir. She quit working for the CIA and Caleb started working for his friend Hank at the Brotherhood Protectors while they together worked the ranch. I cannot wait to read the next release in this Sleeper SEALs series.

Absolutely loved this addition to the Sleeper SEALs series
When Greg Lambert sends Hank from the Brotherhood Protectors to Colorado for Mad Dog Maddox, a former SEAL who was medically retired to protect a CIA assassin little does he know that visit will save his life. He'll understand that his injured knee won't keep him from protecting his soon to be love.
Jolie Richards grew up in Eagle Rock, Montana where her father raises her after her mother dies but when he is shot during a hunting trip she leaves everything and joins the CIA but after 8 years away after finding out she's been targeted by a homegrown terrorist. Even though she's been assigned a protector Mad Dog will show her what she's been missing lately, love. There will be a racoon removal scene that's hilarious and finding out that the town she grew up in is now being plagued by a motorcycle gang. When Mad Dog and Jolie will fortify the ranch slowly becoming a home to them and when the gang tries to attack them its the Brotherhood guys, local sheriff and more who will capture the gang but also the terrorist who is after Jolie.
Will Mad Dog stay or return to his solitary life? Will Jolie sell the ranch or realize that its where she wants to start a new life with the man she loves?

Navy Seal and CIA Agent waiting for a terrorist in Montana.
This Brotherhood Protector book starts with Mad Dog trying to figure his life out after an injury ended his military career as well as loosing his best Navy buddy. He almost pitched himself off a Colorado peak. Hired to help a CIA agent track down a terrorist he heads to Montana.
Jolie is all alone in the world. Having been raised on a ranch she was very close with her parents. Her mom died when she was young and she and her dad were two peas in a pod. He died while out hunting and she herself was lost. She left eight years ago for the CIA.
Jolie works alone and isn’t crazy about someone watching her back. She is sure the terrorist is following her as she is waiting for him to show up. In the beginning she and Mad Dog just coexist. Then the ice melts and they work together.
I had to read the end twice because it didn’t make sense to me. Everything worked here except the terrorist and the motorcycle gang. The terrorist guy hadn’t been in town long enough to lead these “kids” and no real understanding of who these kids were was covered. I also felt for a CIA agent Jolie was sloppy in the end. I felt this was a three and a half stars but I rounded up.

Ms. James’ characters are definitely the heart of this series, and each protector is uniquely crafted, with a mix of strength, vulnerability, and charm. Their camaraderie and loyalty to one another also creates a sense of family that adds an extra element to the stories/series.

Montana Rescue is hard core.
Take one retired Navy Seal and a CIA agent with a terrorist planning on revenging his brother's death and you have the premise of Montana Rescue in one sentence. But this book is so much more and you won't be able to put it down. Mad Dog and Jolie are an unlikely pair until you get to know them. He had always worked as part of a team and her work is always alone and yet the man with no family and the woman who had a great family find a way to come together in such an amazing way it will make you smile. Character development and secondary characters play such an intequal part in this book I love the Brotherhood Protectors and Hank Patterson. Hank and Sadie remind me of Wolf and Ice and that is a good thing. Love Elle James her books have such strong visuals that you are almost right there with her characters.

Hank and Sadie remind me of Wolf and Ice and that is a good thing. Love Elle James her books have such strong visuals that you are almost right there with her characters.

Oh what an intriguing story. This story is about Caleb (Mad Dog) and Jolie. Mad Dog was considering suicide when Hank found him and told him to get in touch with Lambert. Needless to say, this changed his life for the better. Jolie didn't think she would be able to go back home because of all her memories of her ranch. When these two met, Jolie wasn't too sure about Caleb but soon changed her mind after a few mind-blowing kisses. It was a shock to find out who had killed her father and it is a shame he turned to crime. He lost his mother because of his crimes. At least the terrorist was neutralized. Once the threat was gone, these two learned more about each other and their love grew. Caleb proposed and Jolie said yes. I am happy these two found their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Elle! I would recommend this book.

Nice Plot
A very enjoyable read. It was good, but there were errors, not just grammatical, but errors of names as well.
Caleb "Mad Dog", a medically retired Navy SEAL, needs a purpose to continue in this life. Luckily, his previous commander is helping him. He has someone who needs him for an assignment. Little did Caleb know he would be assigned to a firecracker of a CIA operative. Jolie returns to her family ranch after eight years, she is luring an ISIS terrorist to her. She is shocked to learn she has been slumped with a hot SEAL on her mission. She does not need him. Therefore, these two have their work cut out for them before they can neutralize the terrorist who wants to team havoc o. U.S. soil.

Absolutely loved it
What a great read for Thanksgiving! Totally recommended this to any one who loves and action packed seal story. This author never disappoints. This is a story about Jolie and mad dog.she's a CIA agent and he's a retired seal,called up to flush a terrorist out. Full of action and romance. Not to mention a little reunion with some of my favorite men and women. It's like a real, although fictional, family gathering. Thanks for the stories, keep them coming. I like to recommend the other series my this author ,and those of the other writers who collaborated in the sleeper seal series. They are all wonderful writers with great stories to tell!

Good story!
This was a well written story. This is the second book of this series I have read/listened to. While I have purchased the whole series, only this and two others have been made available in audio so that moved them to the front of my reading line! This is a standalone book but I feel I enjoyed it more knowing some of the secondary characters and locations. Besides this author always provides a wonderful tale so you should buy the D force series and enjoy those also! These characters are ones that are easy to like and your happy they get a HEA! The storyline kept me engaged from page one to the end!

It's really sad about her dad passing but at least she knows the truth about what happened 2 him. She doesn't blame 4 A simple accident. Even though she works 4 the CIA on a mission she has maddog 2 help her. When the terrorist comes 4 her what will happen? I'm glad Six was ok in the back of the truck. It's crazy how this terrorist managed 2 get others 2 try and do his dirty work but the sight of the ages on the others where surprising. What will happen 2 her and maddog, will they have any help and survive or will everything go up in smoke? I liked it alot how they kinda saved each others hearts without knowing it.

Loved this story and this author's style for telling the story. I'm not familiar with this author but that's the joy of reading series written by multiple writers. I will be looking into her other stories. Now back to this one, he was literally standing on the edge of a cliff contemplating jumping. She had returned to her childhood home with a terrorist on her trail only to be overcome by memories of her parents deaths. Both of them had to overcome overwhelming loss to work together.

Another great read for an amazing series in the Sleeper Seals with a touch of Brotherhood Protectors. I always love reading about strong and smart women who find themselves in a predicament. It's such a great storyline made very realistic. I love reading about a second chance for Mad Dog. Together, Mad Dog and Julia make a formidable couple. Lots of hot and sexy scenes. Can't wait for the next installment of Sleeper Seals and Brotherhood Protectors.

Montana Rescue (Sleeper SEALs Book 6) by Elle James is an excellent read. This well written book has an interesting plot and complex characters. Book focuses on the story of Caleb and Jolie. These two have great chemistry and generate plenty of heat. Book offers action, suspense, drama and romance to provide a brilliant blend of page turning excitement. A great read and an excellent addition to this series. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Montana Rescue is the sixth book in the Sleeper SEALs series. This story is filled with suspense and action and a budding romance. Jolie is used to working on her own and being one of the top snipers for the CIA. She has been targeted by ISIS and leads them back to her family ranch to limit innocent casualties. But before that happens, help arrives in the form of Caleb. Will they make a good team? Can they eliminate the threat? I really enjoyed this story. This is one not to be missed!

Good story!
I enjoyed getting to know Mad Dog & Jolie. Having seen them mentioned in a previous book, I was curious. It must be noted that o. The timeline their story must fall before Viper's even though this is book 17. Emma is still a baby even though she's 3 at the end of book 16. And most of our couples are still engaged. But nevertheless, its a good story with a badass heroine and a hero that needed to be reminded that there are happy endings.

Still able and capable!!
A great series showing veterans are still capable to give protection to Americans after serving their country proudly. It's a joy to find someone who can understand the military veteran, who are able to continue to use their skills after service to this country!

Another great read. Maddog was medically retired do to an injury. He didn't feel he had anything worthy to contribute, so he was living in a log cabin deep in the mountains to be alone. Jolie is an CIA agent and headed home to her ranch in Montana to lure a terrorist who is after her. Together they fight the odds and grow closer in the process. Another great read from Elle James as usual.

Very, very, very cheesy and extremely predictable. The female character is supposed to be a “badass CIA agent” but spends the whole book running from pesky animals and being completely clueless to her surroundings. I rolled my eyes too many times to count. I will not be reading any more books by this author.

Making my way slowly through the Sleeper SEALs series. This was fantastic as it brought in the Brotherhood Protectors. I love the series with Hank and this book tied in so well with the crew in Eagle Rock. Jolie and Caleb had a nice meet cute with the racoon and a good story overall.
