You never want to trip and fall into the Otherworld. Blaine found out many years ago that the town of Castle Santos sits close to another world beyond the veil. He slipped, once, but that was enough to change his life. A stranger arrives on the eve of the Witching Hour and seeks to steal Blaine back to the Otherworld. But he must stall long enough to put a plan into motion to escape their clutches forever. Can Blaine weave a childhood tale to enthrall his would-be captor and escape final judgment?
This little story scared me even when there was a short lull in the action. I throughly enjoyed it and highly recommend you read it (in broad daylight and NOT under a tree)! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

THE PICKING TREE by Zachery Miller is a thrilling mix of horror, fantasy and folklore. This little novel is written and told uniquely. It is almost like they are short stories of different people in the same area and their take on things happening. Excellent Read. Recommend reading.

This a second tale I've read and can't wait for the third. Mr. Miller has a way of getting to the point and pulling you right into the story and characters without droning on and on. Don't want to visit the underworld or see a tree grow right before my eyes.
I am definitely a fan of great horror! This is definitely great horror! I am looking forward to reading all of this author's short horror books that he has available and then wait for him to publish more! I highly recommend this book!
