Nora is extra busy at Madness Diner, while her partner, Tina, is taking some time off.
Preparing to close up for the night, Nora notices a young man with a hoodie pulled over his head, storming out of the diner. There is a young woman at the table he just left and she is in tears. Nora, being a kind soul, brings her a chocolate sundae in an effort to cheer her up.
Nora learns that her guest is Valentina (Val) and she is upset because she hasn’t heard from her best friend Lulu in three days. Neither the Sheriff, nor their friends seem to take Lulu's disappearance seriously. Valentina, however, is certain that something bad has happened to her friend. Nora offers to help Val search for Lulu.
Will Nora and Val be able to locate Lulu? Has the young woman left town without telling anyone? Why is Lulu not responding to Val’s attempts to contact her?
This is a quick read, and one that will grab your attention and not let go…you get to figure out what happened to Lulu, along with Val and Nora! As usual, Nancy McGovern has included lots of twists and turns within the story, while introducing you to many very interesting people you might find in your own town. Definitely worth reading, I look forward to the next book and reading the whole series again in sequence.
