The best general use reference book in my collection. Contains a wide variety of rifles from many manufacturers and countries. You can really tell Walter put in a lot of effort as this isn't an ordinary general reference book with names and one or two sentences most rifles listed have a least 2 paragraphs explaining their history, even the obscure ones. Pictures are included aplenty, with hardly any page of text going without at least one picture or diagram. They are all in black and white but all are of good enough quality. It is a very hefty 600+ page tome but its well worth picking up as a starting point to begin further research into a rifle or manufacturer. I'd even say its the only book you'd need if you have just a casual interest in the subject.
