An ancient spell. A timeless love.

Brielle Montgomery finds comfort in the steadfast routines in her life—until her archaeologist mother whisks her away on an adventure in Scotland. Intent on discovering who or what destroyed the powerful Conall clan four hundred years earlier, Bri and her mother work day and night scouring the castle ruins. Rather than finding the answers they seek, Bri stumbles across an ancient spell and is sent tumbling backward through time to the seventeenth century. Once there, she is mistaken for another and is forced to marry the castle’s ill-fated laird.

Now she must work to change the fate of his people, find a way home, and work to keep from falling in love with the man who is now her husband—all before the unknown enemy arrives to destroy them. But the handsome laird introduces Bri to a sort of love she’s only ever dreamed of, and with each passing day, she finds herself more reluctant to find a spell that will take her home. If she finds it, will she use it? If she doesn’t, will her love for Eoin Conall give her the strength to survive a deadly plot against his people, and the power to change the course of history?

Bethany Claire is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the Scottish time travel romance novels in Morna’s Legacy Series.

Bethany’s love of storytelling has been a lifelong passion but, convinced it would serve her best to follow a “conventional” career path, she tucked that passion away and went off to college.

Fast forward four years and about six major changes later, she realized the stories simply were not going to stay tucked away. Months away from graduating with a degree in elementary education, she finally realized writing was the only career that would make her happy.

So one day in the middle of a summer education course, she got up in the middle of class and walked to the registrar’s office and withdrew from the university on the spot. Since then, she has devoted herself to writing full time and is following her dreams.

☆☆☆☆4 SCOTTISHY STARS!☆☆☆☆

description

I decided to read this one this week and I couldn't put the book down. This is a historical fiction and lately I've been so caught up with this genre. Also this contains royalty and other fancy royal stuff and I am a fan of the certain lifestyle.

description

The plot was well build. The story takes time in seventeen century and in the same time in twenty one century,so you can guess this contains time traveling. The characters fit greatly with the time and because of time traveling you can see the different behaviors, ascent, habits, clothes and the confusion of characters in the new world they find themselves in.I must give credit to the author for handling this perfectly.

description

Also this is a Scottish novel, and I had almost no knowledge of Scottish culture and it's people habits,so I happen to learn a lot of it.And I found that quite extraordinary.I really dig the way they talk and their repeated habits, and the royal lifestyle.

description

I also liked the romance in this book. It's not something fluffy and teen-like like every other book these days.It is a love between grown ups and it's build with respect and royal manners and I respect that.

description

The only thing I missed in this book was humor.Al the characters were very serious and I would like to see a character who is more carefree and has a sense of humor because I am a great fan of novels with hidden humor.

description

The story

This book is about a woman called Brittany who is a kindergarten teacher. One day she decides to join her mother who happens to be an archaeologist in a trip to Scotland to research more about Conal Castle. While researching ,she looks in a spell room where she finds a shiny thing, and after that everything goes black for her until she wakes up in a same room but in a different century. In the same time ,an identical woman as Brittany,Blair time travels in the place Brittany found the shiny thing.Basically they switched places and now both of them have to live their new lives. How will they manage that and can this mean their own destruction?

description

I recommend this book to all the readers. It's a great time traveling novel and it's a great way to learn about old royal Scottish culture.

Bookbub suggested this, it was free and the description sounded interesting, I thought I'd give it a try. Don't buy this. There is no development, no accuracy. Yes I know, time travel isn't realistic, but if you're going to write about time travel, make an effort. The characters were barely one dimensional, there was no development of anything, let alone what the characters looked like. I love Scotland and historical novels, but honestly you couldn't really tell where or when this was aside from them riding horses around, the women in dresses and the dates from going back and forth.
The whole archaeological dig grant that apparently didn't allow the mother to bring a legitimate team to the site was the first thing that bothered me, and it just got worse from there.
I finished it, only because I keep track of how many books I read per month and I didn't care about story quality, until now.

A WASTE OF TIME!!UNBELIEVABLE STORY!!

This book was free Thank God!! Its is very badly written. It is very obvious that Bethany Claire has No knowledge of the 1600's that she is writing about. They didn't have maids or servant that told a Laird what to do, let alone slap him an reprove and scold him for his behavior. Eoin Laird of the Conall Clan was dumber then dirt!! So was is younger brother Arran. Eoin is not an Alpha male personality. He comes across as weak and immature for a 30yr old. Eoin should have kicked his brother Arran's Butt when he found him and his new wife making out in the hallway of his castle. This was stupid beyond compare. The housekeeper maid Mary has way to much authority to be true to the time period. She slaps Eoin and gives order to him and his brother. This doesn't even happen in the 21st century.

The other problem I had was the beheading of beautiful innocent horse. How gross!! Crap like that shouldn't even be written

Bri Montgomery the heroine of the story has been switched in time with Blair MacChristy. Blair is Eoin's new wife but he has actually married Bri. A spell cast by Eoin's aunt Mona over 30years past in the 1600's has caused the swap. Blair was a selfish arrogant dim wit and she hated that she had to marry Eoin, She has hated him since they were children. So she play's the harlot with his brother before the switch in time happens. Arran and Blair fall in love. What a great Brother!! WOW!

The Villain Ramsay who wants to kill all of the Conall's and in future history records has done just that. According to history all of the Connalls were murder and the castle burned down. Ramsay's reason for this horrendous act of murder was flimsy at best. He got mad when Eoin married who he thinks is Blair. Ramsay has an old unattractive daughter that he thought Eoin should have been betroth too. What? and Why? At least Blair was young and pretty. So Ramsay sets out to destroy all of the Conalls, Bri is sent back in time to 1645 from 2013 to stop the massacre.
The whole story is badly written but before I write a 1 star review I try to read the entire story in hopes that it will get better and make sense. Love Beyond Time is a Waste of Your Time. Only read it if you can get it free, but it still a waste of time and time is as good as money.

Sorry I Can Not Recommend Love Beyond Time!!

I had read this before as a book and I loved it. I wanted to listen to it again as an Audio Book so that I could hear the accents and the way they pronounced all the names. It was wonderful listening to the story unfold.

The narrator has such a great voice for the men and women. She had a great Scottish accent as well. The humor came through and she was willing to whisper when the story called for it. She did an outstanding job.

This book was well written with the way the characters interact and work out their problems in a way that makes sense. There was a wonderful scene with Bri and Eoin that was just so sweet and tender, I think it was beautifully written.

I am going to listen to the rest of the series on Audible and I can't wait to go through all seven books. If you have not tried this time travel series, this is the perfect one to get started on. It is great.

A good start to a new time-travel romance series.

As the author said, this is a "less heat more sweet" story and perfect for those who like reading clean romance and insta love.

I liked the time-travel, characters and the blind date story at the beginning was hilarious. I just wish the main characters and the plot was more developed and clearly fleshed out because at times the characters would say or do unreasonable things for plot convenience. For example, Bri (a 21st century from Texas and a kindergarten teacher) is thrown back into 16 century Scotland by magic and she's is quickly married off that same day to the lord of the castle with out an explanation. She is okay with this because Bri believes she's dreaming despite all evidence to the contrary.

The hero's character also suffered from plot convenience issue for the sake of drama. He jumps to conclusion, tasked drastic action against his new wife without giving her a chance to explain the misunderstanding and then is cowed into good behavior by his old nanny/house keeper. He fails to see who his brother is infatuated with and doesn't notice what's under his nose as far as Bri, the enemy clan's plot and his brother's worries issues are concerned.

I enjoyed reading this book but it would've been better if the plot, characters and atmosphere/history were well developed this would've been amazing. Still, this book is a good start to a long times travel series.

Time travel and Scottish highlanders is truly a magical recipe for me. These novels are just such a guilty pleasure and I devour them! I loved the characters in this book and the way the time travel comes about, it’s a different recipe than I’m used to and it made this book really enjoyable. I just flew through it and before I knew it I was done and I wanted more!

Perhaps the worse part of this reading experience was that I found this book on a list titled "If you love 'Outlander' you'll love these books." Okay, that was a really high bar to set, not every book can reach the epic status of the 'Outlander' series. But honestly, I've read much better fan fiction. It didn't even feel like the author was trying for character development. I knew by the time I got to to the explanation of why the protagonist is pulled through time that I wasn't going to be enjoying this book but I grimly pushed on hoping it would get better. It really didn't.

As a historian I'm used to inaccuracies in historical fiction but this was painful. Scotland's rich landscapes were pale shadows of themselves and aside from the vocabulary I felt like this story could have taken place anywhere in Europe. As a librarian who loves both romance and fantasy I was incredibly disappointed to see little justice done to either genre.

Luckily, this book was free. I had been surprised that when I search for it in multiple library systems in NYC I couldn't locate it in any. I'm not surprised after having read the book. I certainly won't be recommending it to anyone.

3.75 historical magical time travel stars! The only thing I was missing... More sex... He's a Scotsman laird for heaven-sake and he's married... Why is he not giving it to his wifie on the regular and why is it not more descriptive?

This book was one disappointment after another for me. The author relied on suspension of disbelief way too much, and that always drives me crazy. There were a lot of "well isn't that convenient" moments.

An example: The book starts out with the heroine's mother, an archaeologist, getting a grant to explore some castle ruins in Scotland. Why would she wait till she gets to Scotland to go over the research on the ruins, wasting days sitting in her room at a B&B? Why would she bring her inexperienced daughter instead of colleagues? (The author clearly doesn't understand how grants work.) And *of course* within seconds of walking into an underground room at the ruins the archaeologist mom spots the cracks in the wall that denote the doorway to the hidden room behind it--cracks which the previous excavation team (which also included her) never noticed after months of scouring the room. Riiight. It's things like this that happen over and over again.

Need a way to communicate with another time period? First random idea works. Need a way to send objects back and forth through time? First random idea works. Need a way to send anyone though time, not just the people the ancient spell was written to affect? First random idea works. Characters need to desperately search for a ring throughout the book for the sake of tension and conflict? Oops, turns out it was accidentally buried with a person when they died--only, in the real world of history, the ring would *never* have been forgotten about during the burial process.

There was very little character development, so there was no genuine relationship between the hero and heroine. All of the bonding time happened off page during a gap that was covered by a catch-all clause at the beginning of a chapter to the affect of "we'd spent the past few weeks getting to know each other and loving every moment together." Show me.

The villain's motivations for wanting to slaughter an entire clan--men, women, and children--is so weak that it's absurd.

The hero, a laird, has the chance to prevent a huge travesty by killing one evil man outright, or at the least imprisoning him and questioning him in private, but oh no, he must give the villain a chance to repent publicly by putting hundreds of people in jeopardy, including the heroine's, for the confrontation. Naturally there's a battle that kills many of his men and almost kills the heroine. Someone needs to send this hero to leadership school.

I could go on, but I'm ready to move on.

This was a really good freebie. I was really surprised that I liked this one so much. I loved the characters and the plot. Time travel is always (mostly) good to read, plus the added bonus Highlanders. ;) The characters and their personalities were really good and I was definitely feeling the book. This one happened to be a late-nighter and really pulled me in. Something I wouldn't mind reading again. A great first book for the series and I'm looking forward to reading more. There were emotions, some quick wit, great friends and family, a little action, a sprinkle of suspense, and a good ending that leaves a good promise of a lead for the next book. Super surprise and Enjoy!

Why did I read this? Because it's Scotland and time travel. Wish I had not bothered. It's a romance novel, cheesy and without much character development at all. Two young women who look alike are swapped in time, and the story mostly follows the one who ends up in the 17th century. There she wakes up, finds out it is her wedding day, believes she is in a coma having a dream right up through the wedding and falling into the bed of a man she has never seen before. Of course she believes it is a dream so decides to just relax and enjoy it. Really? Both the main character and his brother have no reality about them, and the Laird's holding seems a bit strange. Only two servants are ever mentioned, the housekeeper and her husband the stableman. No other characters at the keep, but he's a clan leader. I did find it more than a little gruesome for a light romance novel the horrible slaughter of the stable full of horses. When the bad guys were discussing it, I kind of thought -no, they won't go there....but they did.

Of course the school teacher who goes back in time falls in love with the Laird and the gal who goes forward in time is in love with the brother. He is all broken up about it, but she wants to stay in the future. So much for her love for him.

I had to laugh when the Laird is going riding with his bride and after he gets on his horse and she is on hers, he reaches over and unties the horses so they can leave. Uh, you do not get on a horse with the reins tied to the fence.

I did read the whole thing partly because it is a quick read and partly because I kept thinking it would get better. It really got more silly all the time and the last straw came when (this is a spoiler) the girl in the future decided not to go back but she would try to send the mother of the girl who had gone to the past instead - and did. How handy was that? I would not recommend this one.

I enjoy historical fiction, and time travel if done well. At a high level, I enjoyed this book. It had the characteristics that I personally like in a novel...it had romance, history/another time and place, suspense/urgency, and it had humour (some spots had me laughing out loud). It is a short novel and I read it quickly.

But there a few things that prevented it from being great for me. Some of the dialogue seemed "cheesy" to me and I found it quite distracting. When the modern character was 'found out' by the historical characters it wasn't believable for me (as believable as an unbelievable scenario can be). The author could have taken more time with it...it would have also led to better character development, which as a result of the rushed feel, felt flat to me. Perhaps I am a prude, but the level of description in the sex scene was not warranted. That level of description has its place, but I didn't feel it fit here. It wasn't necessary and didn't add anything. I would have enjoyed more of the tension and attraction between them and less of the porn'esque details. I know many like that kind of detail, so I am probably alone in my opinion there :-). And finally, the ending was also far too rushed and it felt as though some of the pages were missing. It just ended too easily.

Again, overall I liked the book. I could see it as a movie. But there were too many things that prevented it from being more than a 3 star.

I'm being generous with this because I believe other books have prejudiced me. I say this as someone who has read Outlander, but also someone who has rad Julie Garwood and other writers of historical fiction and romance. Character development is a key component to catching interest as is plot development. I didn't feel there was a great deal of either in this story. The motives of the "bad guy" were shallow, and not that I don't know people have fought wars for less, but it didn't make a lot of sense. On top of that, the main characters motivations to do anything didn't really make sense. Just not my style of historical romance, I guess. I'm looking for a movie, less of a soap opera, which is what I felt this was. I don't know if the rest of the five book series is any better, but won't be finding out because this one just didn't have what I require to keep interest.

I read this because it was a 99¢ Kindle download and was recommended because I have read all of the Outlander series. Wish I hadn't wasted the dollar. No character development at all. The book is just way too short and everything from the characters to the setting, etc and so on are beyond shallow. If you are looking for a time travel series that is well-written and developed don't settle for this. Just read Outlander. There's really no substitutue.

For a long time, i wanted to read Outlander by Diana Gabaldon but i have some issues about the whole leaving your husband in the 20th century while having an affair etc with a hot Highlander centuries before you were born.i tried finding a book that would be kind of similar to it.
so, when i won Love Beyond Time in goodreads i was thrilled to see how the timetravel historical romance would develop.
description

let's talk about the book.
it is an ordinary day in Bri's life. five year old's driving her crazy, her friend Mitsy trying to hook her up with a 60 year old guy, but deep down she needed more than just be satisfied with her life. she wanted to be happy, to fall in love, to discover things. so when her mother, an esteemed archaeologist tells her during an unexpected visit that Bri would be her assistant in an archaeological expedition in Scotland, Bri despite her doubts decides to follow her mother in the Highlands. a dream come true for her since she was born with her mother raving about the mystery around the Conall clan's demise.
the whole clan and all its people were murdered on a December day in 1645. no one knows who destroyed the Conalls or even why.
description

back in 1645, Eoin Conall stands beside his father's deathbed listening to his laird's last words. Eoin must marry Blaire, the daughter of the McChristy clan's laird. a situation that Eoin wanted to escape but couldn't. he accepts due to his duty towards his clan and agrees to the marriage. but he knows he will never love Blaire and she wants nothing to do with him to. after she arrives Blaire does her best to deny Eoin and his trying to get closer to her. at the same time, Arran, Eoin's brother and Blaire find themselves attracted to one another.despite their growing feelings, nothing can be done to stop the marriage.
nothing except for the plan that the late laird Conall and his sister Morna had put in move even after their deaths.
at the day of the wedding, the plan takes fruit. Bri is transported back in 1645 and Blaire is finds herself in 2013.in Bri case she has a marriage, a stubborn husband(a mule at many cases) and a betrayal to face.

"I evaded him, jumping quickly to the left and chunking the nearest object I could reach at his head. It hit him square on the nose. With a ferocious growl, he leapt in my direction once more.”

description

a sweet mule, nonetheless.
"And now, as he held her in his arms, feeling the warmth of her skin so vibrant and alive against him, he knew exactly the power a woman could wield over a man’s soul.”

description

switching sides and timelines between Bri and Blaire, starts a journey of love, sacrifice and betrayal.
all so as for Bri to find the cause of the Conall clan's horrible end and maybe find a way to change the course of history...and find a way to not lose Eoin.

description

it was a really entertaining and fast-paced and i loved Bri and Eoin together
description

““It didn’t really matter. Even if she still did want to return home, he knew he couldn’t bring himself to let her go. She’d captured his heart completely and he didn’t want to spend his life with any other. If she didn’t love him already, he could make her love him with time.”

the writing was really smooth and i loved both mains and supporting characters.especially Mary

“What in God’s name do ye think the two of ye are doing? Bri, get down from that bed this instant, and for God’s sake, stop throwing things! Eoin, stop ranting in Gaelic. The lass has no idea what ye are saying. It’s time we had a talk, all three of us, but I will have no part in it while the two of ye are acting like ye have gone and lost yer minds."

but this book isn't perfect. the dialects, the fact that everyone went with the flow of things, not stopping to think wth is going on as well as the fact that the romance needed more time and depth to flourish are some of the things that you will notice.as well as the fact that it seemed kind of weird that the mc decided to stay with the male mc after like what 2 months or so?
it needed more time, if you ask me. but since i was in a mood for Highlanders, time travel and the fact that i started the Outlander tv series well you can imagine why this book got such a high rating.it wasn't amazing,it wasn't awful it was a good read.i enjoyed it, and since that is the point of reading a book, i cannot say i have any complaints other than the time i needed for the story to progress in a more suitable way.i have read other amazing timetraveling books like Wildest Dreams and marvelous historical highlander romances like The Bride but that doesn't mean that this book isn't enjoyable.
all in all, it is a really good book depending on your mood, the book you read before it and of course your likes and dislikes.but after all, this applies to all books.

This book is for anyone who loves a good romance, time travel, archaeology, mythology, mystery, Scotland, witchy stuff...yes it has it all and then some!

Adele, the main subject's mother in this fantasy, has a love of everything Scotland. Receiving (finally!) a grant to continue her studies and finish her excavation of Cornall Castle's ruins, she invites her daughter, Bri, to accompany her on the trip. Adele is looking for a secret spell room, and she believes she knows where to start looking. Finding the room, Bri stumbles upon a centuries old portrait of herself - how can this be? Mumbling the words written at the bottom, she activates a spell and finds herself taking the place of Blaire, who (centuries back) was reading the exact same words. I will not say more due to spoilers, but it is very interesting to see how each copes with finding themselves in the distant past and the distant future.

Well written, the landscapes are described vividly, and the characters are well developed. This is the first book in a series, and I'm looking forward to see what comes next.

This was an excellent, fast-paced read! I just started it yesterday afternoon and finished it a little while ago. I love how the author doesn't get bogged down in the details and just tells the story. I get so tired (literally) when I read books that have so many details about the characters, their surroundings, blah blah blah. Bethany Claire does an awesome job of getting your imagination going but not slowing you down to describe every little thing.

The characters were likeable, it did not take the first few chapters for things to pick up because things start moving within the first few pages, and I honestly felt like this was a good spin on the time-travel romance genre (a witch casting a spell was a breath of fresh air from the usual "I-stumbled-upon-this-mysterious-place-and-next-thing-I-knew-I-was-transported-through-time" that seems to be the norm for this type of story). All in all, I would recommend this to other people (if you are a fan of the Outlander series, or any other series about time-travel, I especially recommend this to you).

I look forward to reading the rest of this series and I hope to see many more books by Bethany Claire!!!

I'm a huge sucker for time traveling books. Especially ones that take place in Scotland. (Hello, Outlander?!) When I saw this was free on nook I instantly grabbed myself a copy.

Great love story, but the plot as to who was trying to burn the castle fell a bit flat to me. Too many plot holes for me to actively get involved with it.

And also, what a beautiful set of covers! Definitely roped me in!

I really liked this! I bought the 7 book boxset (with 2 novellas) and just finished the first. The characters are likeable, although I felt I had to suspend my disbelief a bit - I mean, hey this is no Outlander - but it was entertaining.

The set up is good, and everything gets tied up neatly in the end with the plot threads woven for the next story.

This was a fairly light and quick read and what it lacks in Scottish/historical "authenticity" it makes up for in charm.

It’s like a 1.5 star, I literally almost couldn’t finish it. I had to like speed read the last part because I was done with it. And then like the app I read it on can like read it to me in like a Siri voice, and then I did that because I literally couldn’t read it anymore. But it is finished and I’m not going to continue the rest of the series, I don’t even care about continuing it because it’s just not interesting. I go more in depth of why I didn’t like it in my notes so I’ll post those below this.

"Eoin"
And now I know how to pronounce some super specific Scottish name, it's just Owen, sometimes varying depending on the region lo/

So far, and keep in mind that there's time travel, the most unrealistic and unbelievable part of this is that she's able to afford a house based on a kindergarten teacher salary.

I still hope that we don't get Blair's point of view throughout this whole entire book. I hate the back-and-forth between timelines and I don't really like Blair. It's not like she's a bad person. I just don't vibe with her because I don't think I could ever do what she just did.

Blair and the mom are making this make way more sense than it would to normal person, I just love how they go with the flow, and also that way Bree is just going with the flow cause she's assuming she's hallucinating or in a coma is funny to me. But it also likes keeps the story light and fluffy. You know what I mean

There's not really a good reason as to why this guy is so angry at Owen, it doesn't really make sense plot wise. I understand that he's supposed to be a bad guy and that's what Bree is supposed to save them from but like it's annoying because it doesn't make sense.

"screwed."
Bro, Owen is so abusive. It's like not even funny. I'm like what the hell. She was locked in dungeon for four days, any normal person from the 21st-century would be like so angry and she just kinda like brushed it off and the way he like a man handles her too, anyone from the 21st-century would not let that slide.I just think this is so unrealistic.

I also find annoying how she only found out her purpose there 50% through the book.
That's annoying.

I also find this very unrealistic. Maybe she's just dumb though who knows

Considering how dumb Bree has been throughout this whole book so far, I am so surprised she didn't just believe the words that came out of that man's mouth. I for sure thought she would just believe it and say now I can go home, or something stupid

"asked."
Based on all of his previous actions of being ungentlemanly like, and the fact that he has already slept in the same bed as her, I think this to be also unrealistic for his character.
It's annoying. I might not like the behavior, but at least be consistent with it.

"'Alright.""
This girl has no background, and like no resolve. It's so frustrating. She's even worse than the book. I just read it, she owns the night, I thought that female lead was dumb, but compared to this one she's really smart.
It's just annoying.

"runaway,"
Why would he ask the stranger for help digging up his father's grave. That task is already weird enough on its own and he asks of the stranger that showed up like a couple days ago to help him do it?? That makes no sense why not ask the dude that you've known your whole life that was standing right next to him... Or ask them both and have someone else watch the stables. It's just so stupid.

At least the Father has some common sense, the father of the real Blair because he listens to advice and his instincts. And also, I found it highly convenient that Aaron just now decided to trust the guy after he and that dude dug up his father's grave together. Not trust, decided to like suspect him. Also, I think the sex scenes are completely unnecessary, they don't add anything to the story and like this could've been way better if they just weren't in there at all, it's really bad actually.

"father"
I find it very hard to believe that Owen is upset that the daughter of that other guy got hit by her father because Owen has hit Bree like a lot, he literally slapped her like a couple pages ago. Like are you kidding me?? It's just so stupid

I do like the fact that her mom went back in time to be with her, I think that was sweet, even though the logic of how she got there didn't really make sense, but oh well, it's better than whatever the heck has been going on this whole time.

''Bri, honey. I can certainly see what made you decide to stay. Which one's yours, and is it okay if I touch them both?""
Not the objectification of men, seriously?
What is this book? Let's just keep getting longer.

This had a bunch of plot issues but over all it was an alright book. Although to be honest I have no desire to read the next book in the series.

Not sexy. Good job Morna).

Overall: Bri is a teacher and at summer break her mother talks her into going on an archeologist
adventure with her to the ruins of a Scottish castle that now lay in crumbles. While there they find a basement that wasn't found on the last dig and in the basement is a room filled with old spells
books. Bri finds a plate that has her picture on it and when she reads the lines out loud she is
transported back in time. When she first gets there she believes it is a dream and just goes along
with what is happening, but eventually she realizes that everything is all to real and want to go
back home, even though she is really attracted to the laird Eoin. After this point there are a lot of
questions that are answered and hearts open and dreams come true. The ending was pretty epic
and very heart warming. The ending leaves you with a setup for the next book in the series.

Pros: Once Eoin found out who Bri really was, I liked how he went about getting closer to her and
wooing her. I liked that at the end when everything seemed like it was going to end, he gave her
the ring and she choose to stay with him instead.

Cons: The story started off really slow in the beginning and than once she got there, I thought
Eoin's actions towards her were a little harsh. I wish he would've talked to her before throwing her
into the dungeon. It also bothered me a little bit at the end when she decided to stay because I
kept thinking about was the other girl and what if she did want to come home.

Characters: Bri & Eoin
