It’s a race to save the world—or end it.

After a mystical merging that ties Sam to Hina, the race to save the world is on. With the equinox just days away, and RJ’s magic more powerful than ever, it becomes a race against the clock to find RJ and stop him—before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, in the midst of a battle for the supernatural world, all of the gang’s mundane problems can’t be ignored. Sam’s academic probation is threatened when the merge forces her to miss school, Brittany and Koby are keeping secrets, and Sam’s future is a wobbly, grainy picture that only slightly resembles the life she had planned for herself.

Alex’s problems aren’t any better. CHAS has issued a warrant for his arrest, his truck is still missing, and the girl he loves won’t commit to anything concrete between them when this is all over. But soon, they’ll both be forced to decide what comes next.

Because one way or another, it will soon all be over.

“Follow the heart lines.”

Following Indra’s sacrifice and the mystical ceremony in which she merged with Hina, Sam’s powers have now stabilised. Meanwhile RJ is stealing magic with the intention of exposing the supernatural community to humans. With the equinox just days away and RJ’s magic becoming more powerful, Sam realises she may not be enough to defeat him on her own.

Fortunately, Mirabelle and Kiwi have managed to locate the cave where Hina spent her last moments on earth before handing over her magic to the village women so that they would protect her son. Sam learns that Hina withheld a portion of her magic and that it’s essence is still stored in the cave walls. The team travel to Thailand to obtain it.

Armed with her new magic, Sam attempts to magically bind RJ. Unfortunately her plan backfires when RJ sets a trap which leads to the loss of one of their own. As the team mourn, Sam is faced with a stark choice, to heal RJ or pay the ultimate price by using the final ace up her sleeve...

Emergence is the final instalment of the Heart Line series. Once more the author has delivered a well crafted, suspenseful instalment which kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot moved along fluidly and while certain scenes crackled with tension, others tugged at my heartstrings.

This has been a fantastical multi layered journey of self discovery, powered by adept character development, relentless pacing and building to a climax that is neat and satisfying. I’ll definitely be looking out for future works from the author.

I received an advanced free audible copy of Inheritance that was narrated by Kelly Pruner who made it easy to differentiate between the different characters.

Best darn conclusion to a book series ever!!! This book will make you laugh, make you happy and even make you cry!!! OMG the tears I've shed in this book! Heather you are seriously one evil woman!!!! I still love you though!!! But, seriously!!! This book brings it to the final showdown with Sam and Hina going toe to toe with RJ and EA , and might I say it was the most jaw dropping shocking ending I have ever read!!! And in the end it comes with a happily ever after!!! I absolutely loved this series!! By far one of my favorites from Heather!!! I can't wait to read what she has in store for us next!!!

I voluntarily agreed to read this book and this is my honest review!!!!

RJ still eludes them and seems to continue to stay one step ahead of them. While Sam and Alex are rescued by Breck and his cronies and they are introduced to the other side of Breck's life. Things are coming to a head and the race is on to figure out what RJ is up to and stop him before it's too late. Loads of action and the closing up to all of the hanging questions all happens in a rush of action and emotions. The author closes this amazing series with a bang in spite of the losses incurred, loves lost, awareness altered, new alliances and so much more. In the end two hearts beat as one and love wins.

Emergence is a book with action, suspense, loss and love. A great conclusion to the series. Sam is faced with impossible choices to save the world from R.J./Ea. Alex has to face his own magical abilities. All of the characters play important roles and the author makes us feel invested in their lives. Great book!

I must admit this book at my emotions all over the place. I went from laughing, to crying, to threatening to hand the Author from a tree and even telling her I wasn't talking to her any more. This was a book that you would need to continue to read until the end because you will be on pins and needles wondering what is going to happen.

The details that were written in the book made you feel like you were right along with them thru everything. The feelings for all the characters just oozed off the pages and you feel like you are going thru everything that they going thru. I may not have liked some of the things that happened to the characters in the books, but when you sit back and look at the grand picture you knew things were suppose to happen just the way they did.

Come along in the furthering journey of Alex and Sam (Salex, love it) will they be able to Beat RJ and Ea and lived happily ever after, or will they all lose in the end. Please come along with me on this journey you will not be disappointed.

Until Next Time… Tabi

The best ending of a series ever. Yes, this is book 6 and yes they must be read in order. But the good news is that if you haven’t started the series yet you can binge read them all in order right now. They are all available to read immediate and I recommend you doing that now, do not wait… go purchase all 6.

Heather Hildenbrand has a group of characters that quickly became friends. They are characters that I am invested in, characters I want to find the HEA, and characters I want to keep learning more about.

With Emergence I found the sweet scenes between Alex and Sam some of my favorites of the series. Yet, along with the sweetness there was action, drama, and wonderful friendships. The friendships were true and realistic. They had each other’s backs no matter what the circumstances were, even when it could lead to their deaths. They had faith and trust that they would be okay and find the way to stop RJ.

Emergence is the perfect ending to one of my favorite series. I recommend picking up your own copy ASAP.

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~

When you start reading a series you become invested in everything about that series. You wait (not so patiently) for each installment to come out. You devour that installment, then you get to the end and you are left feeling completed. At least when I read Emergence, I read this installment and I felt completed. Every book that I have read my Heather has surpassed my expectations. She writes so that when you are reading her books, you are there, with the characters, right beside them. You also feel like they are your family.

Emergence is pack full of action. Spells, ancient deities and prophecies that will need to be fulfilled, even if it means losing yourself along the way. If you haven't started this series, you need to. If you are waiting for this book, I don't know why you are still reading reviews, go and get it and read it, then leave your own review!!

This book was amazing! What a great way to end an awesome series. I am going to miss reading about Alex and Sam as I have enjoyed them and their journey. This book goes through all you emotions from being packed with liveliness, loss, and love.

Sam goes through quite the experience from trying to figure out her bond with Hina to saving the world from RJ / EA. Alex is also going through so much from trying to figure out his magic. What is it about his blood and why can he feel Sam all the time?

Overall, this was an amazing book and series. I do not want to give away spoilers because I want you to enjoy the book just as much as I did. If you have not started this book or the series, I highly recommend you start reading now.

I am looking forward to more work from Heather Hildenbrand.

This portion of the series, because there will be a book seven, wrapped up wonderfully. I'm astonished at Ms. Hildenbrand's masterful storytelling, throughout this series it's only gotten better. The characters and world keep developing, but especially the characters.

I've loved Sam and Alex from the beginning, and I've grown to love them more as the series has gone on. Their relationships with other characters and each other are so well fleshed out, it's impossible to not love them.

Speaking of other characters; Brittany, Breck, Safar, and Koby are all amazing and I was so happy to hear more of their stories in Emergence! I highly, highly recommend this series.

You win some, you loose some. but what would you do when the person you thought once was your friend has put the final stages of their battle plans together and you know your going to loose?
Once again Heather dives into Sam and Alex head on.
They know EA/RJ is stronger, but with old friends and a new team, working against the clock they may just be able to pull this final battle and save the supernatural world.
True to its series the final battle and preparations will tug on the heart lines.
Be prepared to have questions answered, especially about Alex, and more have more questions to ask at the end.
Heather has done this beautifully, its not the end only the beginning for Sam and Alex.

Omg. This book had me hanging in so many places. I think this part is my favourite. Even though it broke my heart more than once and left me sobbing. We still have happy ending but that middle? Oh man the feels...

This part has it all. Loss, gain, pain, revenge, epic battle. Everything. And Ms Hildenbrand did an awesome job capturing it all. It's simply a masterpiece. The whole series is. I am die hard Dirty Blood and Wes' fan but here Heather actually swayed me towards Alex and believe me: it is hard to sway me from Wes!

Well done Ms.

Well deserved 5 stars.

I have read every book in this series .  The detail is unbelievable .  Heathers ability to wrap a story together is epic. The twists that come in this book are phenomenonal and totally unexpected.  The characters are fun, interesting and aggravating at the same time. It's a long book, however it reads quick and smooth.  Heathers growth as a writer is so epic that I am proud to be a part of her success at following her dream. Consider me a fangirl for life. I m praying there is another spinoff of this series.

Man! You think your ex is vengeful? They have nothing on this book. The lengths that Ea and Hina go through to be rid of each other. Wow. Godlike proportions. ....Oh wait. Lol. Through all the ups and downs, this final book in the Heartlines series brought action, magic, suspense and heartache. Slightly predictable but still very entertaining. This book left me with a feeling of completeness. I think it was a fitting way to end the series. Thank you, Heather Hildenbrand for the ability to review this arc in exchange for my honest review.

So good! I absolutely love these characters and the conclusion to their crazy journey had me on the edge of my seat. Could not put it down!

Favorite Quote:
"Now, I finally knew how she’d felt when I’d come clean all those months ago about her memory wipe and then walked out on her. You couldn’t be pissed at someone if they were dead. Not properly, anyway. And I really, really needed to be properly pissed at Samantha Knight right now. Hell, at this point, I’d settle for her being pissed at me. A bedpan square in the jaw. That’s what I wanted."

Love!

The way this story was wrapped up with a beautiful golden bow was both perfect and surprising! Heather writes her characters so well that you feel like friends and hate it when the book ends! Good thing she writes so many of them!! She had dozens of titles to fit darn near any interest - as long as it’s paranormal and/or supernatural. I’m excited to get started on the next one! I highly recommend these books!! (Try starting at the beginning, though…you will NOT be disappointed!)

Samantha Knight as Hina moon goddess must save the world with Alex Channing by her side.
This final book is well written and in places heart wrenching as Sam finds the elements that will allow her to save the world as they know it but may not leave her in it.
Alex comes to understand what his blood can do. It was sad to see what RJ became as Ea.
The supporting characters are amazing in their own right.

Great

I love this series so much. Sam is such a great character, I thought I couldn't like Alex much more, but this book did it. There were some surprises that I never expected. Goddess, this is an amazing book! Sam's journey, goodness, and strength and Alex's confidence in himself, love, and magic made these characters some of my all time favorites! Heather outdid herself once again!

Another great story

So much happens in this book. I like watching all the character development in this series. Some of the plot twists took me by surprise, others you could feel coming. It has all the elements I look for in a book: adventures, strong ties to each other, and lots of heart.

Loved this series!

I had a hard time reading this compared to the others! Not because it was bad, but because it was so good I didn't want it to end! Glad about the HE A for Sam and Alex. And if what the author says is true in her note to the readers, at SOME point, there will be a Heart Lines #7! Yay! I'm all for that!

I was a little sad about RJ. Probably because he was such a great character when he wasn't possessed by a vengeful god. His turn really was a great plot twist though. I

I'm looking forward to reading whatever else I can from Heather Hildenbrand.

First of all, I just want to say thank you to Heather Hildenbrand for giving me an ARC of this book to read in exchange for an honest review. No compensation was given, offered, or taken to alter the opinion.

After that mind-blowing ending in Defiance, I wasn't sure how much more my heart could handle. All of the books in this series have been leading up to this point: the final showdown between Sam/Hina and RJ/Ea. I don't want to say too much and give anything away, but Emergence is a great conclusion to a wonderful series! I am going to miss reading about Alex and Sam because I have enjoyed reading about them and seeing them grow throughout their journey. They have become like family to me. I loved everything about this series and I highly recommend it! I am looking forward to seeing what books Heather will write next!
