LOVED this extensive look at a couple that already had me purring from a personal fave, Maintenance Night. I thought Troy was demanding and HAWT in that; He’s scorching in TSWC. And he’s not alone. He’s joined by a whole town of Alphas that all believe in a firm and heavy hand. What more could a girl ask for? Lacey’s in a constant state of arousal and trepidation. She’s also in the enviable pickle of being the pick of two of those Alphas – her ever-lovin hubby, Troy, and his equally loveable bestie, Hunter.
The sex is hot, the punishments are even hotter. Yet, that’s not what has my 5* love. I don’t usually do this, but I’m still gushing and want to share the bits that went beyond the usual steaminess for me.
“It was the control, mostly, the knowledge that her implacable husband held her in the palm of his hand, and no matter what it took, no matter how many tears he had to make her shed, he would make sure her will bent to his. And she wouldn’t want it any other way…” It’s these glimpses into characters’ mindsets that really sets the stage for all of the schmexy action. The book opens with what would be the peak of all that piques in any other DD/Ds/Dark Romance story, but it’s only the beginning with this one. The story steadily climbs with new characters and increased intrigue, never letting up on the depth to the delicious POVs.
“And it was a dynamic that brought them both even closer. A deep love, strengthened by pain, tempered by ordeal, reinforced by trust. It was something sweet and terrible all at once. Lacey knew she was a very lucky girl indeed.” A more succinct, yet poignant, examination of DD from the sub side cannot be found. Amongst all of the *stimulating* undressed moments, the emotive aspects of those involved were equally addressed.
“Somehow, it made it easier – and even more sexual – when she knew the man paddling her was aroused by it. Long ago, she’d learned to stop questioning that, accepting that it was just part of her, as integral to her as any other part of her personality.” All kinksters will be nodding their head in appreciation of this sweet confession.
”To find a man who wouldn’t fall prey to her guile, her excuses, her charms. A man who was strong enough to bend her will to his, no matter what, yet be that rock, that foundation, that refuge of love that she still needed.” See – super sweet and HAWT, right?
Ooh! I forgot to mention the Sheriff in these here parts…I won’t ruin it, but this is more suspense than I’m used to with a Trent Evan’s book. Knowing this is going to be a series has me smiling and wondering who will do what (& to whom) in the next installment.

Only problem? Book 2 isn’t out yet. Mr. Cliff Hanger and I will be not-so-patiently waiting for it.

The Spanked Wives Club is a well written, erotic fantasy about a small town in the mountains where everyone has agreed to consensual domestic discipline. It is hot, steamy and very very wet. Trent does a great job of varying his sexual descriptions and they never felt trite or overused. - Except his breast descriptions. If anything told me this book was by a male writer, that was it ;) Lots and lots of boobs, in great and colorful descriptions. Women's bodies were voluptuous and perfect, men were chiseled muscle. But they were wonderfully described!
The characters I felt the most about is Hunter and after him, the Sheriff, but neither all that much. The complaint that I have is that I didn't emotionally feel very much for the characters. The sex and spanking was hot, super, volcano hot - like I took more than one break hot. The one emotional moment, the uncertainty of Hunter was a little too obvious, the misunderstanding felt forced to allow for the conflict.
The sexual tension was ripe, the discipline was creative and accurate, the idea & concept was unique for me at least. I appreciated that none of the women were forced or coerced into this, they did enjoy being spanked, submitting and being humiliated - and some women do. I definitely enjoyed fantasizing what it would be like to be in their position.
I am looking forward to the Sheriff & the Reporter plot blossoming - and that's a note for folks - This is a cliff hanger - hard and sudden. If the next book is also on KU I won't be pissed though.

At some point I thought I'd go up in flames reading this super-hot story...OMG!
Highly, highly recommended for domestic discipline -on the rough side- readers, this takes you for a ride to the deepest parts of your most twisted fantasies. The MCs are perfect, Troy and Hunter are both forces of nature, together they're alpha gods to be worshipped and Lacey does the worshipping wholeheartedly. Their scenes together (after a long foreplay full of tension) are insanely erotic.
It's better if you read first Maintenance Night and Maintenance Week so you know where the characters come from.

Spankalicious for sure, this book definitely lives up to its name. More about discipline than sex, it tells the tale of a city built around the principles a husband's right to have strict dominion over his wife. In an idyllic setting where privacy is all but ensured, the city has more freedom to perform their rituals and ceremonies that add to the wives' humiliation and degradation. It was... well, hot. However, while it's done extremely well, I found myself missing the usual ending to disciplinary sessions. Don't get me wrong, there was sex, and it was glorious when it happened... it just didn't always happen, and I'm a greedy ho like that. I also found some of Mr. Evens descriptions a bit verbose, so much so at times that they tended to obfuscate (his word, not mine) rather than add to the scene.
Side note: I also hate, hate, hate the word "turgid" as mentioned in several of my other reviews. There is nothing sexy about this word.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this if you're a fan of domestic discipline, and I'm anxiously awaiting the second book.

Wow, what a crazy town that must be to be part of. It's like Bdsm fantasy comes to life in a small town setting. A bit of a cliff, but very good. I can't wait to read the next book.

A town where wives get spanked, and more, by their husbands, and more. Not just a spanking story but plenty of sharing along the way. Believe there's more by this author so will read more at later date as very enjoyable read.

The descriptions of this book are very deceptive. This isn't a town full of sensual happenings. This book is just plain cruelty towards women. The title of the book is like calling Mount Everest a bump. These wives are publicly humiliated, punished, beaten, stripped, even given over for use to other men, all without any hint of love or care. There isn't even any aftercare that you would at least see in a bdsm story.
The author even points out small details of disrespect... when Hunter makes note of the fact that after a harsh and exhausting sexual encounter, Troy doesn't bother to carry his wife to the bedroom but makes her walk. It's a small note, but goes to show the lack of love, care, and even respect for his wife.
His wife's thoughts again and again point towards this being too much, or that she is nothing but a sex toy. But since she gets turned on, it's all ok.
Beware readers, this is a major cliffhanger! This is not a complete story. To be honest, I'm glad. I try to finish every book I start and if it had gone on much longer I would have either gotten ill or thrown my Kindle in disgust.
This is the second book I've read by this author and now it's the last. The first one had similar uncaring attributes but I thought it might be a one off. Now, I think it's the author's style.
I am not a prude. I love a good spanking book or some bdsm, but the basics of love, caring or at least respect have to be present. None of that was here.

This book takes place a few months after Maintenance week. Troy and Lacey are living in White Valley. They are exploring their new found deep BDSM dynamic.
The town of White valley is not for everyone, just like a Trent Evans book. The people all live the lifestyle, but they favor the darker, deeper and more extreme forms of D/D, D/s or M/s. There is petplay, humiliation and TPE. Darker desires and fantasy can all be explored.
For Lacey and Troy this means introducing Hunter into their way of life and the town of White Valley. Hunter is torn does he act on his feelings and desires or does he walk away from it all.
As always there is a lot of attention to people's emotions, their feelings and desires. And this book will also leave you all hot and bothered

What the heck happened?
I love a good BDSM book like the rest of them but so much of this book had nothing to do with the women but about men lording power over their women and the spankings and canes. Nothing in this book was love it was abuse. Try to fluff it up all you want but that's what it is. Not interested in a book like this at all save your money and your time

To me, the men were much too gleeful in handing out spankings with paddles, floggers, straps, and belts.
I just don't see any love💔 here in this book. Lacey is just an object for her husband Troy to abuse and amuse himself with. Lacey's mental problems stemming from her total lack of self esteem and self preservation make her incapable of adult decisions.
There is no aftercare by the rough, gruff, men in this book. I was frankly upset that most of the men were also portrayed as military veterans. What's up with that?
Troy👹🍆🌋✋ gets entirely too much sick pleasure from watching other men's wives be spanked✋ and abused💪 in all sorts of twisted ways. He gets off on it!
Maybe the author means to have the book📙 serve as some kind of shock jock book exercise? Maybe his hope is to write📝 something so over the top that it creates some sort of reader's sensation? Thus his goal is attracting additional readers, similar to the 50 Shades of Grey phenomenon?
All I can say is "This is Crazy Man!" Leave me out of this sick, twisted , sadist's utopia!🐲 There is only so far a sadist's desires can go before it becomes torture💪 and abuse✋. It's a fine line the author toe dances💃 along throughout the book.📙

A great book for Spankos! Loved Maintenance Night and I loved this deeper look into those same characters. There were many characters in this book, but the way it was written, it was easy to keep up with who was who. Multiple storylines with main story/characters. More of a spanking/discipline than sex book and all very hot. The book is written in true Trent Evans style. I love the dialogue in the characters heads. I really like that the author only give minimal descriptions of the characters (specifically them men) so I can put just about anyone one I want in that role. I don't know why, but the first time I came across the sheriff, I thought young Same Elliot. I am excited this will be a series and look forward to the next book!

White Valley is a special place,secluded in the mountains,it's the perfect place for a different lifestyle. The men love their wives,but they also like to be in control....and they make sure they are just that. The women love their men,but they also like to be controlled.....and they are exactly that. Trent loves writing about them,and others like them. Make sure to read his other stories,too. You'll enjoy getting to know them,i promise!

This new Trent Evans book is full of strict discipline and ends with a cliffhanger. It's the kind of D/s that's a little darker than I'm used to reading, but I did enjoy it. It would be quite an experience to live in a community where the spanking of wives and other forms of discipline are so widely and openly practiced. I'm looking forward to reading the next part!

This takes place immediately following Maintenance Week. Lacey and Troy have moved to White Valley and they're convincing Hunter to join them. The scenes with the three of them were hot and steamy.

I was looking forward to more time with Troy, Lacey and Hunter and not so much. It was more of a story about the town and not sure that I cared about that in the end.
