She’s only mentioned twice—Asenath. One of the many women in the Bible only listed in relation to the men in her life. But just like every person across history, she had her own childhood, personality, pains, victories, her own life. Open these pages to be immersed in what could be her untold story. Vision of Egypt. The story of a girl who is struggling under the constraints of controlling parents. A young woman navigating through the plots of the Egyptian elite. A broken heart with nowhere to go. An impossible couple. A God never heard of in Egypt. A well-known story with a different perspective, the vision of Egypt.
This was an enjoyable, speculative story about Asenath, who is barely mentioned in the Bible. She was Joseph's wife. This is the Joseph whose brothers sold him into slavery, but he rose to become vizier, or the second highest after the pharaoh, in Egypt. Great characters, believable story, and I enjoyed reading it. It is a Christian fiction book, as it tells of her conversion from worshipping her Egyptian gods, to converting and following the One God.
4 stars and recommended for Christian and historical fiction fans.
I loved this story and was absorbed into it from the very beginning. Not much is said about Asenath in the Bible so this is almost 100% imagination from the author. I found where she took the character of Asenath to be very interesting and was uplifted by how she was transformed! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of all of the editing errors. It needs to be gone through again and have them fixed. Otherwise, this is definitely a book you should read!
Story was interesting.....however, there were many grammatical errors and words left out. It is NEVER proper to use "went" with a helper. Improper: she could have WENT........helper verb takes gone not went. It was distracting. I can overlook one or two mishaps but the book had numerous mistakes. A proofreader could have eliminated the errors.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I love that it was told from Asenath's viewpoint. I had a hard time putting the story down at night to go to bed because it was so intriguing.
This was awful. One minute she’s an horrible person who tosses out babies, and then suddenly she’s married off and becomes a compassionate person. There is zero character development
