The Mammoth Forest Wolves books contain smoldering love scenes between fated mates, danger, dark passion and intrigue. If you're into that, saddle up and strap in!
Each book is interconnected and should be read in the following order: Liam, Mac, Gunnar, Payne and finally, Jagger.
As a civil lawyer, I spent many, many years writing complex legal briefs for unappreciative bosses. To keep from stabbing myself (or them) in the eye with a fork during all of that, I also started writing down the stories in my head. All on my own time, of course ;) Turns out, I'm a sucker for hot, alpha male shifters and kickass heroines.
Now, I've thrown away my shingle (er - more like burned it in a fire pit) so I can devote my time to bringing you sizzling, erotic, paranormal romance stories. If you like hunky, bad boy shifters, women who know what they want in and out of the bedroom, panty-melting sex scenes, and edge of your seat suspense, I've got you covered! We'll put the rahr in erotic romance (okay, okay, that sounded better in my head).

Blurb: Five men. Brothers in arms. Their fight to free the shifters of Kentucky could destroy them all.
For two generations, the wolf shifters of Mammoth Forest have lived under the brutal, ruthless control of the Kentucky Chief Pack Alpha. They have been denied their freedom, their rightful packs, and fated mates for far too long. Now, five brave men have forged a secret alliance hell-bent on resistance. Follow along as the shifters of Mammoth Forest fight to reclaim the women they love and the packs they were born to lead.
Liam – On a mission for critical medical supplies, Liam comes across curvy spitfire Molly. His protective instincts kick into overdrive. But, Molly’s stronger than she looks and she’s fully capable of taking care of her own damn self. It takes about two seconds for Liam to figure out Molly’s his fated mate. In another time and another place, that would make things simple. Here in Kentucky, that makes her a weapon the Chief Pack can use against Liam and all the resistance fighters in Mammoth Forest.
Molly – Molly Ravary’s not the kind of girl who believes in love at first sight. But when Liam McConnell walks into her life, all rippling muscles and eyes blazing with mystery, she might just have to rethink that. He’s hiding something but that doesn’t keep her from being drawn to him. When he reveals his true shifter self, Molly knows she should head for the hills. Except, his nature calls to hers and his truth opens a hidden, magical world she’s been living in all along. Instead of turning away like she knows she should, Molly finds herself all in.
Molly and Liam’s passion for each other creates the greatest danger of all. Giving into it could ruin them both.
Took me a couple of attempts to get into this book. This author writes gritty stories with a fair amount of grief and sadness. Usually the leads get a HEA or at least a HFN, but a warning - not always. The H is a strong alpha, not Alpha, but it's the h who is really great. She's brave, determined and a nice person, not a feisty woman with no brain. She's smart enough to compel the H and others to find the courage to follow a plan, and not act like mindless wolves. I liked it but I struggle with the sadness.
This was a new author to me. Liam was entertaining and held my attention. Read it straight through. Would be willing to read the next one in the series.
Liam's book introduces us to Kimber White's Mammoth Forest Wolves. The group consists of five strong, alpha wolf shifters (Liam, Jagger, Mac, Gunnar, and Payne) hiding from their former power-obsessed, controlling Alpha. The men fled for different reasons, but all wish to break away from "Chief Pack Alpha" and his rules. He will not allow any Kentucky shifter to freely choose their mate. "Choose" being used loosely here as this is a fated mate story. So, essentially, their former Alpha decided who could mate with whom no matter if they were fated or not. Certain human women are shifter mates, the Chief Pack Alpha "chooses" to mate them with his generals so he can become more powerful.
Liam and his mates are all likable, as is his fated mate, Molly. I liked the idea of townspeople aware of others but still being, for the most part, a closed-world. This was a quick read and I enjoyed it, but I kinda felt like there should've been a bit more backstory. It needs a prequel to show life prior to the five fleeing and more details on the Chief Pack Alpha's power over others, IMO. Nevertheless, because I liked all of the characters and have some interest in finding out what happens to each, I'll probably continue on with the series at some point.
*First in new series *Dual points of view *First person
Kimber White sure does know how to write shifter romance. In this new book, Liam; she brings us action packed, extremely climatic and lust filled pages.
From the first paragraph, the reader is pulled into Liam and Molly's world. There's an instant connection, as it often is with fated mates. Both are willing to do so much for the other.
With the ruthlessness of the Kentucky Pack and their Alpha, this series promises to be a little grittier than previous ones.
An alpha king is out of control. Mad with power the alpha king of Kentucky will stop at nothing to bring more power to himself. Even if that is to destroy the lives of humans and shifters alike.
Liam and his cousin lead a band of mixed wolves and humans. Who are all on the run from the wolf king of Kentucky. Since his cousin left the pack because of his true mate being forced to mate with another a general of the King's pack. They have to find a way to weaken the king but how? What supplies for medicine they have they use as sparingly as possible. If only they could get more people on their side. Helping refugees and displaced shifters across the border is hard enough without putting their lives on the line, in which is everyday. But who can they find to risk helping them?
Not your usual Fated Mates story. It is an emotional, intriguing shifter story. Molly works for a vet with poor judgment in men. Her first meeting with Liam is as he steps in when she is protecting her friend and boss from her abusive boyfriend. Both feel something but try to ignore it.
Liam is not free to wander the town. He's not free to friend Molly or more. He and a small group have escaped the power--yes I said power--of the Chief Alpha. His control of the pack is complete and mind controlling. A few strong wolves and humans have escaped his hold and work to free other and maintain their own lives. It is dangerous but the break was the only way for one of the strong wolves. (You have to read to find out why--no spoilers)
There are towns people who assist the escapees at their own risk. The complete domination wraps around human and shifter alike. The author weaves the story in a way to capture the reader. (maybe that's why she can write about mind domination-huh?) She builds the sexual tensions with much more than physical passion even though that is strong and ever present. I was drawn by the family bond of blood and friendship alike between all of the characters.
This is the beginning of a series although it is stand alone, I will not miss any of these books. More please. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
Liam lives underground with a few close relatives. Given the choice, he would gladly walk in the sun but that's not possible. He and all those with him are being hunted as traitors. What did they do wrong? They thought for themselves and when you're a shifter in Kentucky, that is enough to have you exterminated. Molly works in a vet clinic, and while she wishes to be a vet, she can't afford the schooling. She saves her friend Bess from another violent altercation with her boyfriend and that's when she sees him. Something's different about him. His eyes change colors so quickly. Is he an addict? Homeless? She isn't sure but she wants to help him for some reason.
My thoughts?
Not bad. In fact, I liked it quite a lot but it did feel like something was missing, like the links connecting everything could easily be broken. When I read a novel, I want to be so immersed in it that while I am reading, I feel a part of the story. That didn't happen with this Kimber White novel. She was so focused on the romance that a lot of the action fell flat but the relationships between the characters were legit. The budding friendship between Molly and Keara, the relationship between Liam and his cousin....in fact, I enjoyed reading about these two friendships more than I did the romance. Who would have thought?
Wonderful new series from Kimber White, this time with werewolves.
With a new series I always read the first pages with more interested as with a follow up book in a series. I really like this writer and did she write this series as good as her others? Yes definitely! Liam and four other werewolves are hiding in the caves to escape from the chief pack. The chief pack is ruled by one dominated Alpha who doesn't want to loose his leader role, so he wants everybody in his pack controlled. Liam and the others escaped from this and are hiding now in the caves. Helping out other werewolves to escape.
But they need help and things to continue this helping others. Liam tries to gt some medicines from the veterinary and meets Molly. From the moment they meet, they feel attracted to each other. Liam can't stand being away from her and soon Molly feels the same. They soon find out they are mates. But that isn't easy with all the danger going on. The chief pack even kidnaps Molly and Keara the mate from one of Liam's friends. Liam and his group have to help them. How that ends? For that you need to read the book. You won't regret it if you are into a good werewolf story.
Liam Manning is doing the only thing he can for his pack~getting medicines to prevent Chief Pack from doing more damage to them as whole. Liam's only option is to raid veterinary clinic for the supplies needed without getting caught. Molly Ravary works in the veterinary clinic with Dr. Bess Kennedy, a real sweetheart with a monster for a boyfriend. Only Molly wants to get Bess away from him period. Molly can't figure out how to make that happen either. Molly steps between Bess and her boyfriend which gets Liam's attention. Liam can't get Molly off his mind but doesn't understand why? Can Liam get what he needs? Will Molly help? Your answers await you in Liam.
I love this new series! The characters and story are raw, real, compelling, complex, unique, bold, honest, exciting, full of passion, and mysterious too. I love strong female characters! Kimber White doesn't miss a beat in creating her leading ladies. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Liam, book one in this new series by Kimber White follows the characters of Werewolf shifter Liam Manning who leads a group of other shifters and humans hiding in the Mammoth Forrest in Kentucky, and Molly Ravary, a young woman working at a Veterinarian’s office. When their paths cross during a supply run for Luke, he feels himself drawn to her and realizes that she must be his mate, while she also fells a pull towards Liam, she tries to figure out what’s happening to her since she doesn’t believe in “love at first sight”. As Liam begins to get closer to the girl, and reveals his true self to her, Liam expects her to leave, but the pair find themselves working together instead. Will Liam be able to keep her safe from the crazy Alpha searching for him? I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
For generations, the wolf shifters of Mammoth Forest have been living under the brutal and ruthless control of the Kentucky Chief Pack. To those in their pack life was not easy, they were denied freedom, their rightful packs and fated mates for a very long time. Now five brave men have forged an alliance and want to restore things to the way they should be.
Liam – while attempting to gather critical medical supplies comes across Molly, she is strong and ramps up his instincts to protect her. He must tread carefully or she will end up being used agains him.
Molly – Molly Ravary’s is not a person who believes in love at first sight, but dang it when she meets Liam all sparks fly and she begins to fall in love with him. In this perilous time will they make it are they fated mates? read to find out
Liam is one of five brave wolf shifters living in secret that have banded together to fight the evil of the Mammoth Forest Pack that is controlled by a worthless Alpha Chief through suppressing normal wolf making, violence, threats, intimidation and taking over the lives of the entire pack.
Liam meets Molly on a run for medical supplies to take back to the secret part of the Mammoth Caves that he makes his home with his five wolf brothers and one human woman, the fated mate to Jagger his cousin. He knows instantly that Molly is his fated mate and this puts her in danger if he doesn't stay away from her.
The war for freedom is deadly when Molly and Keara, Jagger's mate are captured by the Alpha Chief Pack. Will the men be able to rescue them before it is too late? You need to read the story to find out. I loved it.
I stumbled across this book and I'm looking forward to reading the next one after this.
Liam and four other wolf shifters have come together and made their own secret alliance to fight against the brutal control the Chief Pack Alpha has over the state of Kentucky for two hundred years. The Chief Pack Alpha doesn't believe in fated mates, he chooses the mating process.
When Molly shows up at work only to defend her boss from her dirt bag boyfriend, a stranger steps in. Liam makes sure the mean ex-boyfriend leaves the premises, but he's hiding something from her. When she runs into him again two days later, she finds out that he's a shifter and she's his fated mate. Instead of walking away from him, she finds herself joining their cause.
I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
This is my first time in reading Kimber White's books & I adored 'Liam'. I loved all the characters. Liam & Molly has such great connection though Molly doesn't know why she just knows she needs to keep him protected, especially when she sees what he is & why she feels so connected with the first behind her home. Love how their individual hearts beat as one when they are close together, but it's the claimed mates like Jagger & Keara where they can feel & see each other no matter what the distant. This is such a beautiful fated mated love story, though it has a bit of everything, from love, deep concern to deep sorrow
Great book great start to a new Shifter Series. Really recommend it
Liam, Gunnar, Payne, Mac and Jagger break free from the power of the Chief Pack whose purpose is to dilute the Alpha power in the pack to ensure his power is absolute but these 5 heroes won't stand for it. As an Alpha in his own right Liam is drawn to Molly and Jagger is drawn and mated to Keara. But the Chief Pack won't stand for these blatant threats to his absolute power and tries to track them down in Shadow Springs where his generals have taken hold and do surveillance....will they conquer the hold of the Chief Pack and move into their own independent rule? Read on and see their struggles and victories and the legacy of strength and purpose that Keara deceased mate of Jagger has left in her wake.
Shadow spring , Kentucky A mix group of humans and wolf shifter are hiding from the chief pack and thier alpha. If they are found, they would wish death. For now they hide in the mammoth forest and help what people they can. Liam is one of them and he has found mate. A human named Molly and she works for the shadow springs veterinary clinic. Lots of drama, mystery and awesome story. The characters are great and well written the story pulled me fast. Shifter fans should love this one Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is a fantastic book. I couldn't put it down. I loved the dual POVs; the reader can get a better understanding of the plot and characters that way. I can't wait for the rest of the series. The underlying theme of the series is a compelling one. It just draws you in. I really hated to see the book end. Oh and I cried so at one point. You really get involved in the story.
I highly recommend that all shifter romance readers to get one. You won't regret it.
I liked this book a lot. There is a lot of tension and fear of the Chief Pack. It's the biggest in Kentucky and it's alpha is controlling and will and has committed murder to gain his ends. He doesn't want any alphas born so he controls who mates with who. There is and underground resistance group of alphas and their mates. All are under a death sentence. Liam is the leader of this loose knit group. Some are Liam's cousins and some 1/2 brothers. I will be reading more in this series. The only thing I wish there was more background on Chief Pack. A very enjoyable read.
Liam is the first book in this new wolf series. Liam along with four of his 'brothers' are in hiding from the Chief Pack, who wants them to submit to his control. While in hiding they need supplies, so Liam goes out one day and procures some medical supplies from the local Veterinary, where he stumbles across Molly, the fiesty Vet tech. Great read, am looking forward to Mac's story next! A definite must read:)
I received an advance copy for my honest review, which I give willingly!
Wow! Another heartstopping shifter romance from Kimber White. Trouble is brewing for these Kentucky shifters and there are more than a couple cuties willing to help out the good guys. With Alpha Males and beautiful women how can a reader handle all this heat. Breathtaking suspense and heartache mingling it's way through their lives. Kimber White writes with great detail that will keep you turning the pages of her newest shifter book Liam.
I received this book in advance for my honest review.
This was a very enjoyable and entertaining read. The storyline was some what a little different to other shifter stories I've read, but not bad different good different with an unexpected turn. I loved the rugged wolves and their hidey hole, and the human mates. It did have an emotional aspect with a sad occurrence. A interesting read and I'm looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Struggling to stay alive, these five alphas have their work cut out for them. I enjoyed both Molly and Liam's characters, they were both loyal to the ones they loved. Molly didn't shy away from anyone, I loved that about her. She never backed down and always defended herself.
Poor Keara, that was just shockingly sad. Something I didn't see coming...sighs.
Overall not a bad start to what looks like a very intriguing series...
Liam a shifter knew from the first moment he saw Molly she was something special. It was like she secretly called to him without uttering a word aloud.
Molly felt a strong pull towards this stranger but didn't know why but they both knew things would never be the same ever again
Friends made and lost, betrayl , sexy shifters this story was fast paced and I thoroughly enjoyed it
I really appreciated this shifter story. It had a lot of suspense and a really good back story. It also didn't feel like insta love in chapter 2 and then a bunch of silly distractions. There was a lot going on for this couple and the people around them. It was great. I look forward to other stories about the wolves of mammoth forest.
An interesting take on shifter dynamics though it’s quite a dark one. Not a lot of character development and I felt like I needed to know more about the main players. The crisis point is easy to see coming and you wonder why Molly wouldn’t have anticipated it. Can’t really be happy with the ending due to what else occurs.
If you're into shifter stories I think you will find this a little different than most. Good guys living in a hostile shifter community almost turned me off. However the author did a good job of keeping my interest going strong. I had to know what was coming next. It also led well into the continuing saga for her next book.
I have never been more excited to finish a book. The storyline started out good, but Lord help me the characters were terrible. I didn’t feel there was any depth and I pretty much knew from the start Jagger’s mate would die. I HIGHLY doubt I will continue this series.
2.5 Interesting story and world but the writing was poor (mostly stuff that could be fixed with better writing). The story also didn't flow well, it either should've been substantially shorter or a bit longer. The world she created was interesting enough for me to want to read the next ones if I can get them for free but not enough to ever spend money on them.
