Beautiful book also beautiful writing. I really enjoy William Henry's books, enjoy is only a apart description. What amazes me is his straight forward simplicity is sublime. He seems to be expressing his knowledge from a point of view with a sense of distilled respect, and humility. He is also an excellent speaker/teacher/mentor. I highly recommend his works to anyone in search of a deeper meaning of the Ancients knowledge and love of life. regards greg

An interesting read.

At times it seems Henry is all over the place jumping from one symbolic meaning to another in the building up to his main theory. By intertwining and connecting primary motifs used in various religious and spiritual customs throughout known human history, he presents a kind if universalist concept regarding the secrets that lead to the promised Kingdom of Light.

In Henry's interpretation, this is not just a spiritual kingdom that one might get to after death, the end times, or rebirth - it is a place that is accessible through an alchemical/scientific process involving time and space inter-dimensional travel. The process was known to both Jesus and his pal, Mary Magdalene. Mary took this knowledge with her to the south of France. There she introduced gnostic spirituality which thrived until A.D. 323 when Constantine closed the 'way to divinity' by declaring his brand of 'Christianity' - forcing the true message underground.

And that's where it has pretty much stayed since - the church of Rome being the primary instrument of suppression.

Henry does admit that this is his theory based on his years of research (and others). One of the curiosities of his method is what he calls, 'bird language'. He proposes that there is an import for English having become the main language of the internet - that this is a time when a unified language will reveal connections between all languages. One cannot help but be impressed with his creative use of this technique in bringing it all together - from Sumerian, to Egyptian, to Hebrew, to Latin, to English...and others in between. Some connections seem a bit spurious, but interesting nonetheless.

The 21st century appears to be the age of the Magdalene. Beginning in the mid-20th century a lot was made of the new age of Aquarius. Aquarius is associated with the 'Water Bearer' - in a number of Magdalene traditions she is referred to as 'The Lady Of The Waters'. Henry is doing an interesting job of presenting his interpretation of this mysterious woman - a woman whose life and meaning was forced into hiding by a patriarchic dominance in spiritual affairs which has translated itself into the social and political spheres.

Perhaps the times they ARE a changin'...(?)
