This audiobook plunges the listener into the life of Jack the Ripper and that of one of his victims. The author holds nothing back in his description as Jack the Ripper selects his victim and kills her. You can feel the victims fear as she walks the street to earn her living, aware that there is a serial killer stalking the streets of London, she has no choice but to take to the street and hope that when the sun rises she will see another day. On the flip side of this you have Jack—his thirst for killing, a hunger he cannot control, and his immense joy at the pleasure of cleansing the streets of London. Jack is a man of breeding, educated, and determined to rid London of those unclean enough to earn a living from sex. The author does an excellent job, delving into the mind a warped and twisted killer, and the audiobook is excellently narrated by Matt Jenkins.
