A lot of the strengths of what drew me to this series in the first place was a focus on character writing, and unfortunately, there is little of that in this final book. A lot of plot threads feel very unfinished, new characters appear in the final moments with no prior hint of their existence, and the ending, while satisfying, is rather abrupt and doesn't elaborate on much. A lot of this continues on from the fourth novel as well, with other threads coming and going. There's also weird new "catchphrases", and call backs to stuff that wasn't all that remarkable in the first place. With that said, the series is still excellent and a good read for people interested in lesbian urban fantasy with a cyberpunk twist.

Fine ending
A fine conclusion to a great series. Karin and Misaki are fantastic characters, and the additional cast members add to the story well. The action is well done.The story wraps up nicely, with some very cool "this fantasy stuff is really a form of advanced science" features, which I always appreciate.

Loved every word.
A must read for sci fy fans. I am rereading all five books. I love the main characters and how they grew with the telling. Buy it, read it, and love it.

Kind of a weird ending
I'll be honest I'm not a huge fan of the ending. With all that happened Karin deserved more closure than she got. But the series itself was good.
