I like Defense of Innocents, the second book in the Special Agent Cruz series, even more than the first book. This case was emotional and heart-touching, and it was especially kind of Cruz (I may call her just Cruz now, :) now that we are friends) to care for the little girl. I loved how Ash is stunned when Maddie hugs him. :)
If I liked Ash and Cruz in the 1st book, I love them by now. The author really knows how to create characters that connect with readers on an emotional level. Alex J Ander is a very good writer, and I believe that he has the potential to become one of this century's greatest writers. I personally love his style of writing.

I knew that Cruz should not have opened her door to the man who came to fix the TV cables.
