Memory Addict

Rate this book
Megan remembers everything. Absolutely everything. No detail of her life, no piece of information, no matter how small, is ever misplaced. Some people would consider this talent a gift—practically a superpower—but as far as Megan can see, all it does it separate her from the rest of humanity.

Determined to hide her ability at all costs, Megan becomes a champion-level underachiever, turning to alcohol and drugs to calm the constant onslaught of memories.

In an attempt at normalcy, she marries Craig, a pleasant computer programmer, pursues a writing career, and settles into a nice suburban life.

While researching a story about Alzheimer’s patients and their families, Megan finds herself fascinated by the disease. While she cannot help but notice and remember everything, the families she interviews include individuals who are losing the ability to make and retain even basic memories.

She also meets Justin, the grandson of one of the women she interviews. With Craig pressuring her to start a family she doesn’t want, Megan’s self-destructive tendencies kick in. She and Justin start a passionate affair.

When tragedy strikes close to home, Megan’s world threatens to come crashing down. It’s the kind of disaster you’d like to forget.

Trouble is, Megan can’t.

great readi read this in one day

I read this in one day. Not only was the story emotional but I was wondering the whole time what was going to happen to main character and her own self destruction. Loved that I recognized some of the locations and citrus in the book, being that I grew up in the same city as Tracy.

An Unforgettable Read!

The story of a girl who remembers every detail and how she copes through life. One of those novels you just can't put down once you start. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to more from this author.
