They say Love don’t have to come with a age but it may come with a big price.
Chanel Watkins; is sheltered girl who wants more in life than sitting at her mother’s hair salon all day, being stripped of her freedom. She was tired of her mother always being worried about the perception they brought into town being that her husband is the Mayor. It wasn't until Chanel's mother commits an unexpected crime, that she was able to enjoy the freedom she so badly wanted.
Link is a 22 year old upcoming rapper and after doing a two year bid for a petty charge he goes back to that same hustle and gets scouted by a A&R name Mecca who just so happens to have a crush on him and can put him in the position he needs to be to go to the top, only he didn't expect to meet Chanel in the process, which puts him in not only a tough but uncomfortable situation putting his career at risk.
Realizing that he couldn't go public with Chanel, his best bet was to hide her and during this hidden Love affair, Mecca does what it takes to get Link's attention but no matter how pretty and wealthy she is, he just cant get enough of Chanel.
These hidden and dangerous encounters might jeopardize Link’s career as he ask himself if love is worth losing his career and freedom?? Should he risk it all for love? Or will she remain his best kept secret?

Speechless
This book has left me speechless. First of all, I want to get a hold of Tamika and knock a few of her teeth out. She has just been doing the most. I hope that she gets what she has coming to her. Rell is also on my list. I can't believe that he is so jealous of his brother Link, that he would do anything possible to destroy him. Link needs to get some backbone and stand up for himself. Chanel has a lot of growing up to do. She has been so sheltered, that she is totally lost about this thing called life. Stella is also on my list of those who needs to get what's coming to them. I cant wait to see how things play out in part 2.

Time out, I didn’t see that ending coming at all. The beginning started off slow but when it picked up, it caught me by storm. Being bottled up at a young age, and not being able to go anywhere or do anything drastic. Tamika, was an ass of a mother she tried to put it out like she was the perfect woman and mother due, to whom her husband was yet she was the most manipulative of them all. I’m rooting for Chanel I hope she learns from that situation and from what I’m reading realize who’s truly there for her. Link from the very beginning held a very close connection to Chanel. Yet will he let that interfere with his business he’s an upcoming artist signed to a label with a witch of a manager Mecca. Rell, I disliked his character from the beginning he belittled and set up his love ones. I’m still at a loss of words about the ending. So what does that make everyone?

So many secrets
Wow I wasn't expecting that ending I really like Link and Chanel as a couple I know their age plays a major part but sometimes love knows no age and he seems genuine now as for his brother rell it's something fishy going on I got a feeling he might not really be his brother became of something his mom said I believe he behind a lot of the stuff going on with Link and let's not forget Tamika I'm glad her sneaky evil ass got arrested I'm waiting on mecca to get hers too I can't wait for part 2 keep up the great work.

Omg!
Tasha you are the SH**! This book was everything now that Bih Tameka needs to stay where she is at! Rell has put jealousy and hate on a whole mother level. I feel sorry for Chanel because she can't catch a break and she has to deal with two evil parents. Now the end of the book got me all the way messed up and Part 2 is gonna have to straighten a lot of questions for me. Tasha your pen game is strong and this book was🔥🔥🔥🔥

What a secret to be told young girl Chanel at a early age was pulled away from her father going to prison. Times change her mother remarried a church man and still lying about her past. So much has happen once Chanel meets Link all hell break loss drama after drama. The love that's there from Link but Chanel under age wow. Now Rell omg no this must be a lie and Link her uncle nooo

Tasha shante you left my mouth hanging.....Chanel dealt with a lot her mother and Rell where two grimey people... I hope the get what the deserve,that Chanel grows up and realize that every can't be trusted and I pray link gets a backbone in part2

Confused
I didn't like the flow of the story it was all over the plot was really simple minded the characters were all over. It was just to much of stuff taking place I was not really able to connect with the storyline

The storyline was different from most Urban novels and it was a great job, minus the many typos. I can't wait for part two!!! Tamika and Rell are too much

I just finished reading this book and Babyyyyyyyy I am in awe at what's happening. That Rell character is a dirty sneaky something of another. I feel so bad for Chanel. I'm reading part 2 now after I finish writing this review.
