This was an interesting short story. Old friends from the past reconnecting and making a go of it, except there's a huge secret one is keeping from the other. It was sweet, fast paced and a bit mysterious. Even though it came out why Callie's brother was murdered, I would have liked to know who killed him. Honestly the mystery surrounding Rob's murder was more fascinating than the budding relationship between Callie and Bran.

Craving Secrets is an anthology of 12 short stories that gives you samples of writings from various authors in the Romance genre.

What I like about this anthology is that it has a wide array of characters from bikers to musicians to the more family oriented. What I didn’t like so much is that some of the stories feel rushed and end abruptly just as you are creating a relationship with the characters.

Out of the 12 stories, these were my favorites:
Alternative Facts by A.J. Norris-Alternative Facts is a quirky story involving a mob hit at a wedding and a bit of family drama. The mob tries to force the main character, Mitchell, to murder his best friend, Roger-who also happens to be marrying the love of Mitchell’s life. Even with the threat of violence to his mother and his love, Anabelle, Mitchell tries to find a way out of it; but the plan goes off the rails and drama ensues.

Lies Between the Sheets by Christine Hartmann-I found Lies Between the Sheets interesting because it describes the more passive abusive relationships that women can find themselves in. The two men that Janessa originally finds herself in relationships with are both closet abusers. This story, while it is a romance, also describes the journey that some women go through to become aware of the subtler faces of abuse. Janessa discovers that even though both men appear to love her, they are willing to put her at risk to appease their own ego.

Little Black Book by Sara Schoen-Little Black Book was a fun little imagining of what it would be like if an escort only went on dates with men for money, but chose not to have sex with them. It addresses the challenge of this kind of profession while trying to keep a steady relationship. When Madeleine runs into her old flame, Cory, she lies and tells him she is no longer an escort, but when an angry fiancée shows up on her doorstep, the whole thing unravels on her.

Masquerade by A. L. Vincent-I liked Masquerade because it has a little more dimension in the main character as she experiences the fall out of getting a suspect acquitted of murder, only to have him kill again. She decides to quit her law career and move to Louisiana to start over. After settling in Louisiana, Alex runs into a guy she had a fling with-who also knows nothing about who she really is. When a crime is committed and he finds out she knew the victim, he ends up ferreting out the truth about her.

Severed Secrets by Ashley Johnson-One of the best things about Severed Secrets is the non-traditional ending. I won’t give it away, but I was pleased to see a story that didn’t end the way a lot of romance stories do. Laurel is a member of a band, along with her cousin Kurt. After her mother dies in an accident, the band takes a break so that Laurel can deal with her grief. Kurt makes an effort to help Laurel get back into her music and re-introduces her to a guy they went to school with briefly, Dean, who also happens to be refurbishing an old theater and is a big fan of their music. Laurel and Dean pursue a relationship, but just when things are really starting to shape up, he drops a bomb on her that threatens their relationship.

Craving Secrets is a fabulous collection of stories from 12 amazing authors. Each story has its own individuality and identity, but all the stories follow a theme- which is ‘Secrets’. Each author has their own take on the theme, which makes for some really wonderful stories. There are all kinds of secrets and different reasons for keeping them- but everybody at one time or another has held a secret. It is a theme we can all relate to. Some secrets are small, minor and easily forgivable- but others have major consequences, they can be life changing- sometimes in a good way and sometimes not so good. This anthology is made up of many secrets and the various characters that are keeping them. We meet mafia types, Bikers, a Chef, a CIA operative, an investment banker, town Councillors, an escort, a lawyer, a detective and so many more. So, if you’d like to lose yourself for a few hours, in some extremely captivating and entertaining stories, then this is definitely the book for you.

Alternative Facts By: A.J Norris
Mitchell has to prevent his best friend from getting married. There are lives at stake, including his own. What ensues makes for quite an absorbing read. Secrets unfold, that bring danger and mayhem. A very well thought out story with an originality to it that held my attention the whole way.

Breach of Trust By: Shannon Nemechek
Madison Carver has just discovered a secret that puts her life in peril. Hunted by gunmen, she needs to find somewhere safe to lay low till help arrives. Chance Maxwell is a CIA operative sent to bring Madison to safety. Her testimony is needed on Capitol Hill. I loved this story. There was so much packed into a short space. Adored the characters. It is sweet, suspenseful, heartfelt and a touching read. So happy to know the story is to be continued, because I really want more of this fantastic story.

Hiding in Plain Sight By: Lavinia Leigh
Tamryn and Caleb are Councillors on the River Valley town council. Their opposing views and heated debates in Council Chambers have become the talk of the town. This latest debate over the best use for a parcel of land has been going on for months and is becoming tiresome. These two are not going to back down from their passionate viewpoints. Will they ever come to an agreement? What secret weaves its way through this fun, light-hearted story? This would make a wonderful full-length novel. Well Done!

Lies Between the Sheets By: Christine Hartmann
This is an interesting take on the ‘secret’ theme. It has a lot going on in a small space. The pace is fast, which makes this a very quick, easy read. The story centres around paying attention to details. Janessa learns this lesson in a very hard and somewhat scary way.

Little Black Book By: Sara Schoen
Madeline has a really big secret. One that had cost her the love of her life. When she meets up with him some time later, he seems to think that she has dealt with the secret that drove him away. But she hasn’t. When things come to a head, will she be left broken hearted once more? This is well written, with complex and well-developed characters. Not what I was expecting, and ended up being a nice surprise.

Little Blue Lines By: Erin Lee
Callie and Austin are due to get married in a few short weeks. Austin has been away on boot camp and will be home soon. When a surprise arrives on the doorstep, will this secret drive these two apart? This was a creative and well plotted story, that kept me flipping the pages to discover all the details.

Love Tattoo By: Selene Chardou
Kassie had no choice but to leave her home. She couldn’t stay. She is confused, hurt and unsure of what the future will bring. Not long after, Kassie comes across a group of bikers from a MC club. This story takes us on quite a ride as Kassie finds more than she bargained for with the MC club. Sometimes fate has a different plan for us than what we originally thought. This is a great MC/biker story- I would love to read a longer version of this book too!

Masquerade By: A.L Vincent
Quinn and Alex had once shared a glorious, sexy summer together, before Alex left without a word. Quinn had been left devastated, he’d searched for her but found no trace of her anywhere. Now Alex is back in town, still keeping secrets. Old feelings resurface and Quinn is determined to find out why she left without a backward glance, what secrets drove her away and what has finally brought her back. A captivating, well written story that was full of wonderful descriptive details and interesting dialogue.

Pushing Past By: Amy L. Reece
This story is about two old friends who bump into each other after many years. Reconnecting and bonding over a shared history. They have both lost someone close to them and are both still stinging from the loss all this time later. But there is a secret that could drive these two apart. What happens when the secret is revealed? This story had a bit of a mystery going on, as well as some drama and romance. Well worth the read.

Severed Secrets By: Ashley Johnson
Laurel, Kurt and Jasper make great music together. They band is taking a break due to a death in the family. While back in their home town, Laurel happens to meet an old school friend and they have a connection that soon develops into more. But Dean has a huge secret that he knows could destroy what he and Laurel have got going on. When Laurel finds out, what will she do? What is the secret and is Dean right to be apprehensive about her finding out? This was such a heartbreaking secret. The story was well put together by the author, who was able to convey so much in such a short space, without making the story feel rushed or cut short.

The Secrets We Keep By: Melinda Valentine
This was one of my favourites from the collection. Vincent and Scarlett had loved each other for years-Vincent was Scarlett’s brothers best friend and he had promised never to ‘touch’ her. But one night their passion is ignited and they can’t deny their attraction any longer. Problem is Vincent has kept something from Scarlett, and when she finds out what it is she is devastated. Jump forward nine years and Vincent is about to discover the secret that Scarlett has kept all these years. I really liked this story. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t look away until I’d read every word.

Zoe’s Closet By: Christina Slough
Zoe has carried a secret for the past eighteen years. It is something that has caused her a lot of pain, she’s hidden it from everyone- people closest to her think they know her, but they don’t. They would be shocked to discover the truth. But secrets have a way of catching up to you and this is exactly what happens to Zoe. This is a really heartfelt, emotional and surprising read. It was a little slow to get going, but picked up pace pretty quickly and had a beautiful ending.

I always enjoy reading anthologies because they offer great value for your money, so many great stories for the cost of one book. They are also a great way to discover the work of authors you may not have read before. This anthology had a lot of authors that I hadn’t read before and am looking forward to exploring more of their work/s. There isn’t a story in this collection that wasn’t worth reading, they were all so well written. Really, what are you waiting for, dive in- you won’t be disappointed!

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

Reading this book that was definitely interesting because usually when I read book sets the first book goes with the last book. The Craving Secrets set is a lot of little stories that don't go together. Yes, there is love or lust in most of the stories but I love how the authors make it about so much more than sex. The characters have backgrounds and jobs with dreams. The secrets part is what keeps me reading. I mean who doesn't like a good Secret? My favorite story in the set would be "Little Blue Lies" because I love how the author pretty much gives you the answer to "something blue" but you want to hear it anyway. the story that hit home the most was "Zoe's closet" reminded me of what I was going through 5 years ago. I found my birth mother but things didn't go for me as it did for Zoe. The book set was perfect for me because it didn't take long to read each story so I wasn't getting bored. So if you like short stories with lots of details I would definitely read this set.

Craving Secrets: Everyone Has A Secret (Craving Series Book 3) by A.J. Norris, A.L. Vincent, Amy Reece, Ashley Johnson, Christine Hartmann, Cristina Slough, Erin Lee, Lavinia Leigh, Melinda Valentine, Sara Schoen, Selene Chardou, Shannon Nemechek

5 Stars as a whole
5 Stars for each story!!

I'm only pulling out a couple of the stories, but it doesn't mean that every one of them weren't wonderful, read this anthology, you will see.

I loved every single book in this anthology, I wish I could write what I wanted about each one but it would be the review that no one would read because of the length. These are all very short stories and each one left me wanting more, full of secrets that made me cry, made me angry, and left me stunned. Everyone’s story deserved 5 stars in my opinion and I can't wait to pull up every one of these authors and see what else they have to read.

Alternative Facts By A.J. Norris - oh my, I so wanted more of this story. I will be checking out everything this author has, she has an easy story flow, and her writing style was quick and to the point, which I love. I was holding my breath at the end..wasn't sure how that was all going to play out. I sincerely enjoyed this short story and hope I get a chance to read more about Mitchell and Belle.

Breach Of Trust By Shannon Nemechek - Maddie and Chance..Meeting under the worst circumstances and have an instant connection. Oh how I fell in love with Gretchen and Jasper, now that he has found her, Chance just has to keep Maddie alive long enough for her to testify. I'm so thrilled to know this story is continued, can't wait to read it. This isn't my first book by this author..she is one of my favorites.

Hiding In Plain Sight By Lavinia Leigh - I loved this story and really hope there's more to come for Tamryn and Caleb. I loved the style and flow of this story, but was left wanting so much more, how much longer do they have to hide, will they get their land issues resolved, will the town accept them? Loved this story!

Masquerade By A.L. Vincent - Quinn and Alex had met and spent time together, but because she was lying to him about her name and who she really was, when it was time to go she didn't even say goodbye. Now she's back, starting fresh after something traumatic had her giving up her home, her career and even her town. When their paths cross again and all her truths come out will he forgive her for leaving so long ago and can he live with who she was even if it goes against everything he works so hard for everyday?

I will be rereading this whole book many times..It was fun having so many short stories all together, each one being so different, written in completely different styles and loving every one of them!!

Craving Secrets Anthology
Overall 4 stars!

I really like anthologies; I think they are a great introduction to new authors. I have read stories by some of the authors in this anthology before so I was looking forward to reading more from them and also finding some new authors too. Overall I found the stories all really well written, I probably enjoyed some more than others but I still thought they were all decent reads. There is definitely something for everybody in this anthology. It was difficult to choose my favourites but I think the following are the ones I enjoyed the most (that is definitely not saying the others weren’t enjoyable as they were)

Pushing Past by Amy Reece
I have read something by this author previously and this story was what I expected from her. It was well written and an interesting short story. There was a great mystery surrounding the story line which I really enjoyed! The relationship between Callie and Bran was a good centre of the story.

Alternative Facts by A.J. Norris
This was another great story, I am a big fan of mob/crime stories so this one dragged me straight in. I really enjoyed it and loved that I couldn’t guess what was going to happen. This is a new author to me so I will definitely be looking forward to reading more by them in the future.

Breach of Trust by Shannon Nemecheck
I have read a couple of books now by this author and I really enjoy her writing style – this short story was no exception. I really loved the plot to this story, I thought that it was exciting and I really liked the characters. I connected with them well to say that the story was short.

Love Tattoo by Selene Chardou
I was so excited when I stumbled across this story as I absolutely LOVE MC stories! I can’t believe I’ve never come across this author before! I thought that the story was really well written and I was completely hooked from the very first page! Definitely one for fans of MC romance stories!

Masquerade by A.L. Vincent
This was a great short story! I think I definitely fell in love with the characters Alex and Quinn. It was an unusual storyline and I think one of the reasons why I liked the story so much. This was my third book by this author and was everything I expected from her!

Craving Secrets: Everyone Has A Secret (Craving Series Book 3)

by A.J. Norris (Author), A.L. Vincent (Author), Amy Reece (Author), Ashley Johnson (Author), Christine Hartmann (Author), Cristina Slough (Author), Erin Lee (Author), Lavinia Leigh (Author), Melinda Valentine (Author), Sara Schoen (Author), Selene Chardou (Author), Shannon Nemechek (Author)

5 out of 5 stars

This is an anthology of short stories that are all about secrets. We all have them. Once out in the open a secret can end friendships and relationships. However, sometimes those that find out the secret understands and forgiveness can be given. This collection of stories makes you think about what secret you may be hiding and what would happen when revealed. This is a wonderful group of stories. The authors have created stories that hooked me in and I didn’t want to put the book down until I had finished. What I like about anthologies is that you are able to read from different authors who have different writing styles. It is one of the ways that I find new authors to follow. These stories had my emotions all over the place. Some had me on the edge of my seat, others had my eyes going misty and in need of a tissue, then there are those that I read with my mouth wide open as I couldn’t believe what I was reading. On the one hand, I understood why the characters kept their secrets however they soon found that the price they sometimes paid was high. These authors are good at providing detail when explaining both the secret, the thought process that the keeper of the secret has, and the emotions that they go through. There are stories in this book where the secret keeper and the one who finds out the secret find a way to push forward with their relationship and it is those stories that had me saying “aww.” This is an amazing anthology that I am glad I didn’t miss out on reading.

Craving Secrets: Everyone Has a Secret (Craving Series Book 3) by A.J. Norris, Shannon Nemechek, Lavinia Leigh, Christine Hartmann, Sara Schoen, Erin Lee, Selene Chardou, A.L. Vincent, Amy L. Reece, Ashley Johnson, Melinda Valentine and Christina Slough is a group of authors that have come together in one place for their stories about secrets. I enjoyed every story and how versatile each story was. These authors have written enjoyable stories that will pull you in from the first word, some will leave you hanging and others will have you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next. Each have their our style of writing that is great and you will enjoy their attention to details, they are creative and engaging. The characters in each of these stories will take you on a journey of discovery whether it is discovery of secrets or trying to figure out who to trust. Some keep their secrets locked away from the world including themselves but the question is who has the key to unlock these secrets? Are secrets meant to be kept hidden or will they come haunt each character? Secrets can be hurtful or they the can be the complete opposite, you will have to read these stories to find out what kinds of secrets are in this. All of the characters are true to life and connectable. Each story has secondary characters that you will fall in love with and of course some you will totally dislike. Some will bring you hot, steamy romance and others will bring mystery and action. There is something for everyone in this anthology, I know you will find a favorite like I did. I highly recommend this anthology as you will not regret picking up this one.

Craving Secrets: Everyone Has A Secret (Craving Series Book 3) by A.J. Norris, A.L. Vincent, Amy Reece, Ashley Johnson, Christine Hartmann, Cristina Slough, Erin Lee, Lavinia Leigh, Melinda Valentine, Sara Schoen, Selene Chardou, Shannon Nemechek. This series is filled with short stories that have a twist you didn't quite see coming.

Alternative Facts by A.J. Norris is filled with action, betrayal, heartbreak, secrets and love. Even though it's a short story if still managed to pack a punch with it's twists. Sometimes you find out old loves never die.

Breach of Trust by Shannon Nemechek is a bit in the political area of secrets. In just a couple of chapters I was hooked and wanting more. This on has a to be continued so I'm excited to see what happens next!

Hiding in Plain Sight by Lavinia Leigh this was a cute story about business and pleasure mixing in all the right ways. Even with having to hide from everyone in town, these two still make it work.

Lies between the Sheets by Christine Hartmann
This one was a bit harder to follow but still good. A story about things not being as they appear. The ending was a bit of a twist.

Little Black Book by Sara Schoen a story about lost loves and a web of lies. This one was interesting and quite good.

These are just a few of the books in this secret covered series. Each of the stories in this anthology were interesting and twisty with the secrets everyone had. All in all a nice set of books. I give it a well earned four star review.

Craving Secrets :Everyone Has a Secret (Craving Series Book 3) is a anthology of short stories by a group of authors about secrets. Oh man I loved this anthology, they are all grab your attention from the beginning to end, some of them leave you hanging, wondering what the heck just happened. I literally thought I missed something went back and nope cliffhanger. Each one is about secrets, rather it's one your keeping or one you share, secrets can be good and can also destroy friendships, relationships, even marriages (just saying )This series will really make you think.I know I've kept secrets but never one that would hurt another person. These authors all did amazing jobs, there style of writing drew me in, heck I forgot I reading an anthology for a second, I was so entranced. Some of these stories I felt like I was on a emotional roller-coaster at times. Some of these authors were new to me and others I had read other books from.I will say no matter what the secret is ask your self is it worth it? I highly recommend this anthology.

Craving Secrets: Everyone Has A Secret is an anthology full of short stories where everything has one thing in common, secrets. The title was enough for me to jump on board, who doesn't love a good stories with secrets? There's always drama and when the secrets final come out, it unleashes twists and turns that you never saw coming, and this anthology was no different. This anthology included work from Shannon Nemechek, Selene Chardou, Sara Schoen, Melinda Valentine, Lavinia Leigh, Erin Lee, Cristina Slough, Christine Hartmann, Ashley Johnson, Amy Reece, A.L Vincent, and A.J Norris. These authors come together to give you short stories that are extremely well written and full of SECRETS! An amazing 5 star read!

These authors bring you into their worlds, even though each story is considered a "short story", doesn't mean you won't be pulled into their worlds. The thing I love most about anthologies is being able to see how each other takes the theme and makes it their own, and this one is no different. Hold onto your seats because it's about to get bumpy, when the secrets come out, how will everyone react? Will some of these secrets coming out, be for the best? Or are some secrets left buried?

HOT HOT HOT! Craving Secrets, an anthology, featuring 12 short stories will keep you hot and bothered through each and every story. Featuring authors AJ Norris, AL Vincent, Amy Reece, Ashley Johnson, Christine Hartmann, Christina Slough, Erin Lee, Lavinia Leigh, Melinda Valentine, Sara Schoen, and Shannon Nemechek; and each story is completely different while flowing together really well. Each story centered around secrets, either affecting the budding relationship or the history of the main characters. This collection has a little bit of everything from murder to mob activity to prostitution and more. I am normally not a fan of anthologies, as I start to get into a story and then it is over, but this one worked really well because each story worked well with the others, making it an enjoyable read. Each of these authors are all new to me, but I would be interested to see what other works they have as solo writers, as I am sure they would each bring something great to my e-reader. If you are looking for a great quick read that is guaranteed to peak your interest in some new authors while getting some fun stories as a bonus this is definitely a book for you to add to your reading list.

I give Craving Secrets (Craving Series, book 3) by A.J. Norris 5 stars.

This is such a great anthology! Most people have secrets of some kind, and many bring those secrets into a relationship. This book covers many, many kinds of secrets, from the hey, I can see where this is going to the he/she did what?!?? As per usual with multi-author anthologies, some where better than others but that is just my personal taste. I did not think there was a bad or disappointing story in the whole book! That is unusual for me. Most times there is at least one I don’t really care for.

Every single author in this book is a genius. They knew what the anthology was about and they nailed perfectly! Every single story was so well written too! My favorite story was probably Little Blue Lies. By this point, I knew there would be a secret, but I never guessed what it would be. I have found some new authors that I will be looking into more because of this book.

If you like romance with a twist, I highly recommend this book! Find your favorite place to read, sit back, and enjoy one shock after another!!!

Craving Secrets Anthology
4 Stars
This anthology includes work by
A.j. Norris, Shannon Nemechek, Lavinia Leigh, Christine Hartmann, Sara Schoen, Erin Lee, Selene Chardou, A.L. Vincent, Amy Reece, Ashley Johnson, Melinda Valentine, Christina Slough
This anthology has 12 stories by 12 authors, some short stories some novellas. Being quick reads made this group of books a breeze to her through but I did find myself wanting more at the end of some stories!
Everyone has secrets whether they are big or small and that's what all these stories are about, secrets. Some are kept to help, some to hurt but all come to light and the aftermath is sometimes not what we expect.
I met some new to me authors that I'll definitely be checking out their work in the near future.
If you like quick reads with drama, love, betrayal and of course secrets this anthology is for you. There's no way I could pick my favorite out of all these as they all had something great about them. This is a must read for finding new authors!

I wanted to rate this Higher but honestly, there was just so much that I didn't like about this group of books. I love Anthologies this one quickly became a thorn in my side.
When I first began reading this I thought each book in the group would lead to a larger book. The first two books were well written and seemed to work together. I was continuously let down by each book being left in a cliffhanger. It leaves the Reader wanting to read the rest.
The further I got into the book the more I began to like it. The Characters were deeper and the story lines were much better developed. It still bugged me that they ended in a cliffhanger.
Overall the book was enjoyable although I probably wouldn't read it again. I found more stories that I liked than ones I didn't. A good 3/4 of the stories I wished were the full story.

Mitchell whispered "I love you" as the bride walked down the aisle toward him. She stopped at the groom...

THAT is the first line in the first story in the anthology called "Craving Secrets". This anthology has something for everyone from mobsters to spies to politics to first love and more. There are secrets in every short story. Some are as simple as "He loved her. No one needed to know. She knew." and some as complex as "pondering the difference between the old Bran and this new, unfamiliar incarnation."

There were both new to me authors and familiar authors who wrote these enjoyable stories. Some are "to be continued" and I will be looking for the full story, others I was satisfied with the short.

There is no secret that I enjoyed the anthology as I was able to pick it is and put it down because each story stands on its own.

I don't typically read anthologies but this one kept me sucked in. Each short story was fast paced and left you wanting more. Each author did a great job of quickly creating a world of tension and intrigue with the small twist of each story having a secret. The secret could be big or small or something that doesn't really matter. There is literally something for everyone in this series. There's a lawyer, a chef, and many more though the mafia story was my favorite. You'll definitely be caught up for a few hours with this series.

Craving Secrets is a great little collection of short stories of romances, and trysts. The selection for this collection pairs together perfectly even though I wish some of the stories were a little longer and some ran on a little too long. All stories were a fun read and I will definitely be searching out some other works by the authors. Some of my Favorites were Hiding in Plain Sight by Lavinia Leigh, a cute secret romance story. Love Tattoo by Selene Chardou which I felt was a modern day twist on the classic Cinderella.

This review is for Pushing Past by Amy L. Reece - This romance was a quick, sweet, fast paced read with mystery and a big secret. Bran and Callie are old friends reunited after many years and instantly attracted to each other. I enjoyed these two and was glad after some heartbreak and drama they got their HEA. Would love to read more of their story!

Craving secrets anthology

I'm not a very good secret keeper but I don't give away spoilers. This collection of short stories was interesting enough from its synopsis to pull me in even though I normally don't enjoy shorter stories in a collection.
The main thing each one had in common with the next was that there was a secret for the main characters. Not all were the same secrets so it helped keep each story different at the same time.

If you like to feel a bit of suspense at the unknown and like not always knowing what to expect I think you'll find you can enjoy this collection.

Pushing past: was my actual favorite from the whole collection because it seemed to have more depth to its plot and the story line while unexpected wasn't an over reach. There weren't filler stories to extend this plot.
