Well all the Timber Bear Ranch boys have found their mates except for Jessie the youngest and sworn playboy. No matter how much everybody in his family bugs him to sign up for Mates.com to find his mate, he won't do it because he has no desire to have a mate. Yet another beautiful short from Ms. Grove. I absolutely love her tales, each with their special circumstances, adorable characters and of course, the happy ever after, and this one certainly fits the description. Jessie swears he’s not in the market for a mate. He knows what happens when you loose your mate, and he’s not going to allow himself to go there. But the pressure from his family is finally sinking in and they convince him to sign up for Mate.com, the website for shifter matches. It doesn’t take long for the program to find his 100% match, his one and only true mate! But she looks familiar! How is it he didn’t know before now that she was his mate? Dana has lived in her own personal hell since her parents died in a car accident when she was only ten years old. Having to live with her great-uncle and his miserable second wife until he traded her with the hyena pack as payment for a family debt, was no picnic, but living as the servant for the Updike clan was even worse. Now that she has absolutely no blood family left, she’s determined to make a break for it. But will her luck change or is she destined to find more of the same bad luck forever? Will she ever find her mate and have a family of her own to love and to love her?
Well written, easy to follow and full of excitement, this is definitely a book you will want to read.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we get Jessie Kincaid's story and we are introduced to Dana Myers. Jessie has been stubborn about joining Mate.com. He isn't looking for and doesn't want a mate. However when all of his sisters-in-law start ganging up on him and his brothers are not help he decides to at least sign up for the app. This did not mean he would be taking said mate but he would get his family off his case. All of this was in his mind until he saw her. Now he wonders is it to late for them or can he make up for all the time he wasted not looking for her sooner?
Dana has been a virtual prisoner of the Updike brothers and their hyena clan. Dana at the age of 18 was sold to the Hyena's to work off the debit her fox family had built up. So when she gets the chance she runs. Little did she know on that same day she would find out that her mate had finally joined Mate.com. She needs him in more ways than one but she wonders can she stay with him or will she have to run before they even get a chance to be together?
This is an amazing book about finding love at just the right moment. There are some big twists and turns in this book that I really want to tell you about. I hate it when others leave spoilers about a book so I refuse to do that to others. I will say that I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Jesse is the youngest of the Kincaid brothers of Timber Bear Ranch and a hothead. All of his brothers and their mates want him to find his mate. Six people all jammering about how much he's missing and how it will change his life. So, he signs up for Mate.com right then and there to get them off his back. Surprise, surprise, he already has a 100% match? It was funny how he said didn't want or need a mate, he was fine on his own until he met her. Dana Myers was sold to the hyena pack to repay a debt and she's done being a slave. When she ends up stranded in a stolen car, he comes to save the day. When she is arrested Jesse is determined to get his mate out of hot water. He is so rash that you have to wonder if he an reign in his temper enough to clear her name. Dana is convinced that her only luck is bad. She meets her mate and gets thrown in jail. With the help of his brothers and sisters-in-law he wants to change Dana's life. I do love how he will do anything to help her, but can they ever get away from the hyenas. This was a wonderful to the Timber Bear Ranch brothers saga. Can't wait for the next Fate Mountain story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. I highly recommend any and all of the Fate Mountain books.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions .Bear shifter Jessie is a playboy who has no plans to settle down he's happy with his life .When his sister in laws start bugging him about signing up for mate.com he gives in to get them to leave him alone but when he sees his 100% match ,his fated mate he starts thinking settling down may not be a bad thing. Dana a fox shifter has just fled her prison of two years and her getaway car has broke down when she gets the notification that her fated mate has been found .Not knowing what else to do she contacts her mate hoping he can help. Just as things start looking up for her they discover a body in the trunk of her car and she's the becomes a suspect. Jessie isn't going to let his mate go down for something he knows she didn't do ,he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe I loved this book from beginning to end .This is a well written story with great characters who have tons of chemistry. The story itself flowed along at a perfect pace and I couldn't put this book down. Scarlet Grove is an amazing storyteller and I highly recommend all of her books they will make you laugh, gasp sigh and cheer .

MECHANIC BEAR is the fourth book in the Timber Bear Ranch series. Each stands on its own, but it is better to read them all and in the order of release…. Along with the books from the Bear Patrol series, Bear Warden series, Fate Valley Mysteries, and Rescue Bear series.
This is what fate really is. Dana and Jessie didn’t just find each other – fated mates – they were paired up just when Dana most needed Jessie in her life.
I loved the twisted ways that they knew each other, but didn’t recognize their fate until she was away from the Updike pack, he had signed up for Match.com, and she asked for help… help that only he could provide. The stars aligned for them at that point. They both had to be ready, even if they didn’t openly admit it. That’s when the real magic of love happens.
I love these quick stories where love is magical and still real, because it is! In this one, they get to battle the hyenas one last time to get to their happy ever after. That makes it an extra sweet victory.

You have a fox on the run from the hyena’s clan and a bear who does not want a mate. This leads to a great ending story for the Timber Ranch series. It will grab you and not let go until the very last page.

At the age of 18, Dana was sold to the Hyena's to work off the debit her fox family had built up. Jessie Kincaid is a grizzly shifter who finally signed up with mate.com to get his family off his back. When Dana finally escapes the car she steals breaks down, she finds her fated mate after the car breaks down, then if that's not enough, she gets a surprise in the trunk.
You have an everything in this story and fate lets you know that when everything seems to be going right, there is a twist waiting for you. I recommend this story and all the different series by this author.

As soon as he fills out his online profile, his mate appears. This series deals with fated mates, but the insta-love part is odd. Jessie goes to help Dana and they both just accept they are mates and that is that. The romance isn’t there. Jessie is described as being a playboy, maybe a few ex’s come by to create some jealousy in Dana?
>There is some danger in the plot involving the hyenas and how they had Dana under their control for 3 years. As the hyenas cause problems, Dana is taken into custody. Jessie did not seem to act as a fated mate would when another male puts his hands on his mate and takes her to jail.

This is the fourth book in the series as well as a mystery. I enjoyed reading Jessie and Dana's story. I give this story 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy without pressure to do so".

This was the last of the Kincaid brothers. Jessie was the baby of the family. He didn't feel like he deserved to take a mate. He just thought that he would go through life alone. His brothers mate kept teasing him about joining mate.com so that he could find his mate like the rest of his brothers. He finally did just to stop them. Guess what? His mate popped up right away. He was going to ignore it,but she texted him the next morning asking for his help for a broken down car. She was escaping the Updike hyenas. He rescues her but then discovers something in the car that puts her in a lot of trouble. This story is about Jessie and Dana trusting each other and family to help out when needed.
I wonder what group will be featured next in Fate Mountain. I have read every book that takes place in Fate Mountain and enjoyed every one.

Only she breaks down on the way. She has been on mate.com for years and finally she gets the message "You have been matched"
Jesse the youngest Kincaid of the Timber Bear Ranch plays the field while continuously telling his family he does not want a mate. After years of hearing we want you happy like us by his sisters - in - laws he makes a profile on mate.com within minutes he gets the message "You have been matched"

Dana finally was free to escape her captivity by the hyena shifters. A fox shifter, she'd been there as an indentured maid for two years. An engine problem halted her get away. She'd hoped the meeting with her mate would be different. Now would have to do, he was a mechanic. He would help, wouldn't he?
She'd never had any luck since her parent died. Was she going to now? Or would something interfere--again. Could they have their HEA?

Jessie Kincade is the youngest of the bear shifters. He is more than happy living as a bachelor, he is not interested in a mate. That is until his family gang up on him to join mate.com.
One of the hyenas is found dead and that will cause major problems for everyone involved.
Thus is part of the Timber Bear Ranch series and would be best read in order. The bad blood between the hyenas and the other shifters is town needs to be understood.

Jessie is the youngest of the Kincaid brothers and a confirmed bachelor, even after seeing how happy mating has made his brothers he still never wanted a mate of his own until he came face to face with Dana.
When Dana escaped from the Updike clan she couldn't wait to get far away and enjoy her freedom but it seems freedom is out of reach when she's faced with murder charges!
I do enjoy visiting the residents of Fate mountain, this is an enjoyable read with a head to leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy.

The final book for the shifter bears of Timber Bear Ranch. Jessie is amazing and the youngest of the Kincaid clan. He never wants to go through what his father did when his mom died. He’s sworn off from being his mate. After being relentlessly hounded by the rest of the clan he finally signs up for mate.com and finds his fated mate, Dana. What...
What a fun, sweet, quick read story. Dana had so much bad luck following her she could have just given up, but she was stronger than she knew. Jessie, the youngest Kincaid brother, vowed to never seak his mate...then he met Dana...
There path wasn't smooth, but maybe together they would be able to overcome the troubles.
I see a few more "Fate Mountain" stories in the future...fingers crossed! 🤞

What an interesting ending to this series. Loved the twist with the Updikes.
Poor Dana, indentured for two years to those horrible hyenas.
Jessie was so funny, fighting finding his mate until he meets her.
Lovely to see everyone together and see what is happening in their lives.
This is my honest review of this book.

Nicely written romance and mystery story. Dana (fox shifter) and Jessie (bear shifter) are a great match. Jessie didn't want a mate and Dana just wanted to get away from the Hyena clan and Fate Mountain. Fate had different plans for them. Nice series but can be read as a standalone, no Hea.

Another great addition to the Timber Bear Ranch series. Plenty of intrigue, mystery, action, and of course steamy romance. Loved the story of fated mates. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Dana Myers planned her escape from the Updike brothers very carefully. The car she uses to make escape breaks down, she calls Jessie and the moment they meet they know that they are fated mates. I love this series, the characters are sexy, sweet, and well written, the plot is exciting with some suspenseful moments. Fantastic book!

Jessie is a confirmed single bear. Dana is a fox shifter with bad luck. The pair come together by chance or fate...but Dana's luck follows her. Bad luck, murder intrigue, and dirt bikes, this has a fun twisty plotline, with fated mates and steamy-but-sweet passion. Really fun quick read!
