Since being turned I've been taught that shifters were the enemy. Now I've switched sides. I was shocked when I found myself alive after waking up in a werewolf cave after escaping my coven. Lucky for me, they believed my story and took pity on a vegan vampire. Now, all I have to do is find a way to take out the vamps and save humanity. No small feat when I'm surrunded by sexy shifters who insist on walking around naked all the time.
Moonlit Harem is a paranormal romance reverse harem serial. Each episode is approximately 20k words. All episodes will be released as an omnibus when complete.
Moonlit Harem 2 continues the story of our favorite vegan vampire Riley. She has been taken in by the local werewolf pack and has made a real connection with 3 of the were's; pack leader Zane, council member Leo, and Forrest. She is coming to terms with her diet, trying to accept the ways of her new pack and let go of her coven teachings. It's an emotional time, but made much easier with the attentions of her three. It's not all sexy times with her three though; Riley confesses the reason she ran. The Centennial de Sang, the vampire ceremony sacrificing 100 humans. It's decided that the werewolves will attempt to intervene. Now if they can only carry out their mission and manage to stay alive. Fun, fast read. Ends with an excruciating cliffhanger guaranteed to make you eager for the next installment.
I liked the first one better. In the second part of the Moonlit harem serial Riley finds herself among the werewolves, who she asks to help her stop the vampires from performing their ritual. I did not like Riley's character here, she constantly behaved like some damsel in distress. That got old really fast. “Zane and I were rather similar in our leadership skills and our morality concerns”. She's got leadership skills? Since when? The werewolves that are supposed to be the love interests all seemed to share one personality between them. Maybe we did not get to properly get to know them, but so far they were all pretty alike. The only differences that I found between them were their names and statuses in the pack. And I absolutely did not feel the connection that was supposed to be between Riley and the wolves. I don't know, everything just appeared to be too easy and rushed. As I said, I liked the first one better.
Ok I'm glad I told myself I was going to continue this serial. The MC was way less annoying in this episode of her story. Not mewling every 5 seconds over rodents. She figured out how to handle her dietary habits and not make them the entire focus. Thank freaking god.
Zane Leo & Forrest are great. I wish I got a little more into their heads because sometimes it's hard to tell them apart personality wise. I'm cutting them some slack at least until the next episode. I will say though, a wolf on his knees essentially throwing a tantrum in front of the whole pack? Pfft. Bye Felicia lol I rolled my eyes so hard they damn near fell out of my head.
That said! I genuinely enjoyed this one more than part 1 and I will be awaiting part 3.
3.5 stars! It would've been 4 stars, if not for the lack of intelligence that went on in this Part. I get it there has to be conflict, it's a story right? And it must go on, but I think the author failed to give more information where it was needed. For example the female lead knew how hard it would be to sneak back into the coven yet she didn't tell the pack this. Also they didn't really have a solid enough plan or enough support to pull it off. I understand that it was kinda the point, but it didn't work for me.

The second part of this series is just as awesome as the first part!! Our vegan vampy heroine has run away from her coven and still refuses to drink from a human, choosing to drink from small animals.
She has run right into the wolfs den, but the wolves are at war with the fangs, what will happen to our beave heroine? Well written with romance excitement and danger, I am loving this series and love NM Howells writing, I highly recommend this book
After reading part one, I quickly downloaded part 2. Even though I hated how short this book was, it was a wolftastic introduction to werewolves Zane, Forrest and Leo.🐾 They are all pure perfection.😍 I love the support and tenderness these incredibly hot guys showed our little vampire in and out of the bedroom.😏 The connection Riley feels with each of them is a million times better than anything she's felt with Adrian.🔥 The ending definitely left me wanting more, I need part 3 ASAP!📚🙀
Great second book in the series! Riley escapes the vampire nest only to run right into the home of the wolf shifters. But the wolves couldn't be more different that the fangs. And Riley is actually happy with the shifters. But she needs to do more...to prove her loyalty...to help the humans...to ease her conscience. Will she succeed in her plan to stop the Centennial de Sang? Can't wait to find out!
We pick up right where we left off, a vampire seeking sanctuary in a werewolf den. Suspicious at first, the wolves seem to be taking to Riley, some are really taking to her. I like the build of these new relationships and where the story is going. That ending, holy cow. Can't wait for the next one!!
It reads like a teenage fantasy. You have a modern college girl who was bitten, became a vampire and taken to live with them. The dialogue is cheesy and inconsistent: "I lament my affliction" (what is this the victorian era?) and "I must go to bed!" but then will say something like "nah this isn't my usual scene."
Like in the first book, i still feel that the book is still lacking somethings... That the story could've been more better... I like the plot but i felt that the ending is too rushed. And there isn't too much romantic interaction between them either, or like it happened to fast. I just didn't feel the connection between Riley and her harem of wolves... 😔
This is such a good book. This is the second installment in a serial. Riley is a vampire who refuses to participate in killing humans. This has made her enemy number one. Will the werewolves be able to help her stop the vampires from killing humans? I can't wait to read the next book.
I feel like I'm getting more of the story than I thought I would in a serial. I like the RH relationship of course but the MC Riley doing the right thing and sticking to her values I really like. It's getting a bit dark now. I'll keep reading these!
Ok...so here I am just finished with part 2 of this serial and I can honestly say that I totally got lost in this book. It is a must read and that ending, I did not see that coming. Can not wait for part 3.
It was okay, I'm just over the vegan thing. I'm wondering what's going on with the female wolf attracted to wyatt. Who I believe are both in cahoots with the vamps
4 Star Book! But this series is now nowhere to be found anywhere, under either of the authors on amazon specifically, N.M. Howell or Nicole Marie. I wished they had continued the series as I wanted to see what happened after she was captured. As well as the future for her and her men.
This author knows how to leave you hanging. And though we finally got to the real romance, a lot of questions are left. Why did the wolves agree to fight against the vampires? Because of a grudge or because it was the moral choice? Why hasn't the thought of biting her lovers crossed her mind? They would likely be willing, and a sip of their blood would surely be stronger than the animals'. Perhaps this book moved too fast and just didn't include enough detail.
