When Jackson leaves the military he heads to Hollywood to work as a stunt man. He thought he would end up in private security but now finds himself a new movie star. When his agent pitches a new movie to him, he has already decided to take the part because of his ultimate reason for coming to L.A. He wants the girl back & she is the 'script girl' attached to this movie. Tara has built a life for herself in L.A. working on movies. It took her a long time to get over her first boyfriend, Jackson. They were inseparable as kids then become a couple when they got older. One day Jackson just left & never said good-bye. Tara never knew why & now she has to see Jackson everyday during the filming.
This second chance romance is about reuniting with your first love & learning to trust that love again. Both grew up with their own personal pain. Learning to share who they are & making peace with the past lends itself to a reunion neither of them can deny. B.B. Hamel does a good job of bringing these characters to life & sharing their struggle to find their way back to each other. Tara is snarky & really doesn't want to let Jackson in. It's love story about second chances, Tara and Jackson were sweethearts at a young age Jackson took off with out letting Tara know he just up and left Tara with a broken heart she knew he was at the navy seals she wrote to him he never wrote back. Years later Jackson pops up in Tara's life so much goes on between these two Jackson is hoping for a second chance he only hopes he can make things right with Tara.

Really great second chance romance. Jackson & Tara were together when they were younger but Jackson left to join the military and left Tara behind. Now Jackson's on a mission to get Tara back. I love how much Jackson wants Tara and will do a thing to prove how much he missed her. Jackson & Tara were amazing together and damn I'm glad Tara put Holly in her place.

This review is for Filthy Beast only not the other stories included in the book.
I was very disappointed with the story. It was extremely repetitive, sounded a bit childish at times, and there were things that were written from Jackson's point of view that sounded like something a woman would say or think, not a military man. I just didn't buy the story, any of it.
Another thing that I kind of rolled my eyes about was the whole movie making details. I've done extra work in movies and TV for nearly seven years now. And while that doesn't in no way make me an expert, there were just some things that I do know were so far fetched. And I get it's just a story and the author can write it anyway they choose, but the details were just one of the things that helped to ruin the story for me.
I do feel bad for the two star rating but I honestly don't feel right about giving it a rating higher than that. I almost didn't finish it, and that says something.

his book was an insult to anyone's intelligence. soooo predictable and boring. What guy doesn't stop talking about his BIG c**k??? kept on telling her that she's lucky to have his big c**k..etc etc. so dumb, it was embarrassing.

She knows Jackson was a Navy Seal and wrote him many letters. He never wrote back.
Fast forward and Jackson lands on the set Tara is working on. After his injury he becomes this awesome action film star.
The chemistry between these two is still there, but Tara has never truly forgiven Jackson. Jackson wants a second chance with Tara and will try his hardest to get her back!!
Life isn't always that easy!! It's like everything is working against them!! While the attraction is hot, they are surrounded by jealousy, blackmail, backstabbing and total drama!!!
Love all the twists and turns!!

This was an excellent book that had a really intriguing storyline; one which I thoroughly enjoyed reading and would have no hesitation in recommending.
As childhood sweethearts, Tara and Jackson made promises to each other, but for Jackson to suddenly disappear with no word is beyond Tara’s comprehension; more so, because Jackson never even responds to her letters. They had never really broken up; he just went away and stopped talking to her. One second he was there, her whole world, and the next he was gone. Jackson’s childhood was not a happy one; he had a drunk for a father and then his mother dies of cancer. At 18-years old Jackson goes into the Military, becoming a SEAL; following his service he takes a job as a stuntman, eventually working his way to becoming a successful actor. Meanwhile, Tara carries on with her life, moving to LA where she lives with her friend Laney, a script writer; the current film that Tara is a script girl on is one that has been scripted by Laney. It has been 10-years since Tara and Jackson have seen each other, but unbeknown to Tara, Jackson has been following her progress, which is what had prompted him to take the lead role in this particular film. Jackson wants to rekindle what they lost, but now he has to convince Tara to give him a second chance. Tara is sceptical at first, because of Jackson’s reputation, and the fact he is fake dating his leading lady, Holly. When Holly finds out that Jackson has no interest in her, and has feelings for Tara instead, she makes Tara’s life unbearable on the set, as well as trying to blackmail Jackson. Despite Holly’s insane personality, she is a good actress, so Jackson comes up with a plan that he hopes will keep everyone satisfied and finally enable the film to go ahead. Tara and Jackson are high school sweethearts that had plans to leave their town behind and build a future together. One day Jackson up and leaves and never tells Tara he was leaving and why. Tara knew his family life was hard but always thought what they had was special. Years later Tara is a script girl out in LA and getting by with her best friend who writes movie scripts. After years of being a Seal Jackson is injured and forced out and knows what he wants and what he has to do to get it, Tara! He goes to LA and becomes an action movie actor and ends up being pretty good. Once Jackson lands a job on a movie that Tara is working do their lives reconnect and moved forward from the past. It takes a lot for Tara to trust Jackson again. I loved how they figure out the past and work on the future. This a true love story that is full of some hot steamy scenes that will leave you hot. Jackson's biggest problem is his co star, Holly who does not understand the word NO! She could be the undoing of everything he has rebuilt with Tara. I loved it when Tara has hit bottom and ends up standing up for herself with Holly and ends up earning her respect. Jackson realizes the only way to have Tara as his is the make such a big move it could cost him his job. True love is what drives him to be successful in dealing with Holly, his agent and the movie executives. I received an ARC and leaving a voluntarily review.

This read by B.B. Hamel is by far my favorite from her to date, the stories, characters, steam etc get better and better each time. This one about an ex SEAL, Jackson, who becoames an actor to locate the one that he let slip through his fingers 12 years ago. Tara is stunned when she finds out who the star in the new movie she is working on, her ex from when she was a teenager, a man who broke her heart and has never forgiven for leaving her. Jackson has to make up for a lot and has to work for it and work for it he does.
A great read with steamy scenes and I loved Jackson with his determination, his dirty talk, his honesty and staying real in a fake industry. What I enjoyed most is that whenever a problem came up, he told Tara about it instead of letting it fester or hoping that he could hide whatever happened....refreshing. Tara didn't give in so easily but couldn't resist him and I enjoyed that she took him for his word, believed him instead of others and let go of what happened years ago. They worked together to try to solve a problem, coming up with a solution and stood by each other.

i read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this story! It was the second chance romance between Jackson and Tara. Jackson and Tara were high school sweethearts and one day Jackson disappeared and joined the navy without saying goodbye to Tara. He didn't answer any of her letters and cut off all contact with her. Years later, after Jackson retires from being a SEAL, he becomes an action star in Hollywood. Jackson starts working on a movie where Tara is working as the script girl. Jackson sees this as his chance to apologize to Tara and try to win her back. Tara thinks Jackson is a jerk that broke her heart and doesn't want anything to do with him. Jackson eventually asks for a truce and to be friends, which he sees as the first step to winning her back. Tara doesn't trust Jackson but still sees the boy she fell in love with. The path back to each other has some many obstacles and they must fight for every step back. I loved Jackson, he knew what he did was wrong and he was willing to do anything for Tara. He had principles and stood by them. This was a hot steamy read with an alpha male that would do anything for his woman. Great!

By sheer luck, he stumbles into acting.
His newest project gets him exactly where he wants.

Jackson may be a Filthy Beast, but he is the best kind! The now retired larger than life retired Navy SEAL is on a new mission find Tara, the girl he left behind all those years ago when his search brings him to L.A he finds himself in getting roles in action films! On his way to celebrity status and bigger movies, his chance of finding Tara improves! She is the script girl for a role he has been pitched! That seals the deal for him!
He is sure Tara will not be thrilled to see him, after the way he left her- but Jackson plans to do whatever it takes to prove to her, he is a different man now, and she is still the only one for him.

First, you cannot go wrong with Stu on the cover. He looks the epitome of a Filthy Beast. Second, Ms Hamel has created an engaging second chance romance between Jackson and Tara. Jackson left his high school sweetheart, Tara, behind when he enlisted. But he didn’t just leave her behind-he disappeared without a word. Twelve years and an infinite amount of regrets later, he makes plans to try and win her over. Now both involved in the movie industry, where games and falsehoods are the norm, Jackson has to work hard to get Tara to give him a chance. The truth isn’t always evident and there seem to be a number of factors working against them. I enjoyed both of the characters-wow, the h sure isn’t shy about calling her rival out! And Jackson just kept his ex-SEAL focus on his mission: getting Tara. BTW, this filthy beast also has a filthy mouth, if you enjoy that kind of thing. Great read!

OMG!!!This book is a scorching hot read. Jackson and Tara had been involved as teens. Jackson left and joined the military without telling Tara. The story stars 12 years later with Jackson and Tara having to work on a movie together. The sparks fly as Tara has never forgiven him. The story has chemistry, jealousy, conniving, blackmail, lust, demons, and love. This book is a rollercoaster of feelings. Will Tara forgive Jackson? Will Jackson get what he came to LA? Will they finally find their happy ever after? Grab a book or e-reader find a comfortable chair and get started. This book is guaranteed to rock you.
BB Hamel once again shows he is a talented writer. He takes his plot and fleshes out his characters to mesh with each other. This brings the story to make the reader feel like they are there living in the story. This is what I look for in a good book. A story that takes me away into a world of make believe.

BB Hamel has great knack for writing steamy alpha males who set their sights on a woman and go after her, no matter what. And Jackson in Filthy Beast is no different.
Jackson and Tara were high school sweethearts, but then he disappeared one night without saying goodbye, and enlisted in the Navy. Ten years later, his career as a SEAL is done thanks to an injury, but he's found a second career as a Hollywood stuntman-turned-action star. And the only reason he's even bothered with this new career is to win back Tara, who works as a script coordinator. But will she be able to forgive him for breaking her heart?
Filthy Beast is full of hot scenes and dirty talk, but there's a vulnerability to Jackson when it comes to Tara that is rather endearing. Of course, their road to reunion has a few obstacles, and how Jackson manages to knock them out of the way in order to get Tara back in his arms once and for all is quite impressive.

Love reunited romances and this o me was great. I felt for Tara and her emotional rollercoaster with the past and finding her past in front of her over 12 years later trying to get her opening up with him there and on set everyday. There is a secondary character that will be a major pain in the a$$, his co star, Holly and how she will be a sweetheart to Jackson and a bitch to Tara, making Jackson as her new boyfriend no matter what everyone thinks or feels. Lies, secrets, betrayals. Told in both p.o.v and ends with a HEA.

This is a fast paced, dirty talker story, which had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning. This author has done a marvellous job in writing this storyline which is a fun and entertaining read. I highly recommend this authors work for all lovers of second chance romances.

If dirty speaking, hot ex navy seals are your thing you will love this.
I've read a lot of this authors books and really enjoy them, they are a very welcome form of escapism for me.
This is a second chance romance book about old high school sweethearts Tara and Jackson, which was a difficult and emotive story at times. Both characters struggling with feelings for each other in a industry that seems against them.
Although Jackson is a ex navy seal, both characters now work in the film industry, with all that goes along with it, including a self obsessed vindictive actress set on ensuring they don't get together.
As with all the books by this author it was beautifully written with great characters. A fantastic storyline with enough drama and twists to keep you engaged with reading, along with a healthy dose of hot steamy scenes.

Jackson is a retired Navy SEAL making his first movie. He chose this particular movie because the Script Girl is Tara. They were a couple back in high school but he made a decision that broke Tara's heart. He disappeared. She has so much anger in her heart towards him that she refuses to be warm and welcoming with Jackson when he shows up to work. Jackson, however, is determined to break down her defenses and to regain her trust. Truly, I enjoyed learning about Jackson. He faced down conniving actors, double crossing agents and money hungry producers in order to remain true to his heart's desire. In a world full of fake relationships, intimidations, betrayals and lies, Jackson retains a heart of truth and integrity. Well written story, well developed characters. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

Filthy Beast is a solid, well developed story. The personalities of the major characters are tainted with just enough craziness to make them real and believable. Jackson and Tara have enough drama in rebuilding their relationship that it is amazing how the Hollywood scene backdrop adds to their story. I appreciate all the little twists and turns that they experience in order to be together. Jackson's final move to make everyone happy is brillant and is the perfect ending to all the nonsense. There is plenty emotion, sex, melodrama, selfishness, gossip, blackmail, backstabbing and a HEA to make this a very entertaining read!

B.B. Hamel does it again with her latest release, Filthy Beast. I loved Jackson and Tara! When they were younger they were always together, until the day Jackson disappeared and left 16 year old Tara to wonder why. Now they are both are older and find themselves together again and on the set of a movie, in which Jackson is the star. Tara and Jackson's reunion isn't without it's share of drama though with the fake relationship they movie execs are putting on Jackson and Tara's anger at him. When they do come together though it is electric! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Holy crap! I have to say that BB Hamel knocked this one out of the park. I would read this book purely for Jackson alone, but luckily all parts of this book are great. However, the sex is off the charts and Jackson's mouth...mmmm...so dirty! Great read and the pages will practically turn themselves. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Enjoyable read
I'm a little upset at myself. This is the first time I am not giving B.B. Hamel 5* on one of her books. This book was good don't get me wrong. I thought Jackson and Tara was good. They were funny at times. She would crack me up trying to be mad at him. The other girl trying to cause problems that girl was crazy. I loved the HEA in this book.It only got 4* because Jackson and Tara fell a little short when compared in my mind while reading to other characters in her books. Tara is hurt and angry. Jacksons leaving the way he did almost broke her, so she decides to leave and move to LA to work in the film industry as a script girl. When Jackson comes home for good he finds Tara and decides to get a job as a stunt man so he can potentially get on a movie she is working on, only he becomes an overnight star in the process. When they end up working on the same move sparks and tempers start to fly and an intense romance starts between them. This book is an amazing read filled with twists, turns and a filthy dirty taking beast who is capable of melting your Kindle.

It's a mixture of love, romance and passion plus all the ins and outs of movie making....good and bad. Crazy actresses, directors and all the politics that goes with it. A truly fantastic read. Loved it.
