Warrior series book # 12

A Covert-Ops Action Novel

The story in a few words:

Zeb Carter is on holidays camping in the remote wilderness of Idaho. In the same jungle is the most wanted terrorist in the world: Namir. After witnessing her father’s death at the hands of Namir, a young girl became his new target. Scared for her life she runs away heading for the woods eventually stumbling into Zeb Carter, the knight in shining armor who will protect her at any cost, even with his life. But Namir and his gang of terrorists are not the only ones in the woods... A Mexican cartel also roams the area..... and the excitement begins.

My thoughts:

This is another adrenaline filled read pack with never ending action and suspense galore. Zeb Carter the main character is the never ending hero who gets shot multiple times and manages to keep going to save the day....awe. The plot is exciting, written in short sentences and chapters with smart dialogue. I had a ball reading this book never mind being glued to every word and flipping the pages so fast...I think my reader almost caught fire...:). I simply enjoyed the few hours I passed with “Run” even if the plot is over the top and keeps the same beat with each installment. Although after so many books the style has become quite formulaic I am not tired reading Ty Patterson series.

No one write thriller like Ty Patterson

I was fortunate to be able to read an ARC of this book.

Fast paced with a minimum amount of "Author Bloat" to pad the word count. Very few leaps of faith as to bad guys finding the good guys. Patterson does a good job of making the explanations part of the story. Too many action authors fail to show the path of discovery.

I only have one negative for this book. Zeb gets shot and stabbed at various points yet doesn't seem to be affected for very long. Wounds that would put most people in the ER at a minimum are just shaken off and he continues on.

I seldom give five stars to any novel, so don't let that put you off from the story.

WOW ! One of the best from Ty so far. Zeb’s vacation is cut short by a 15 year old girl whom of course he helps. Turns he has a deadly mercenary band as well as s Mexican cartel chasing he and the girl thru the wilderness. This is an extremely fun read. If you aren’t reading Ty’s Warrior series books you are truly missing out on some awesome and exciting fun .

Run Warriors Series bk 12 by Ty Patterson Review 10/27/17
Game on! Zeb could or might Die and what about Sara?

Release date: 11/15/17

He is all by himself in the wilderness when the girl runs into him. Sara Ashland, fifteen years old, is terrified. She has just seen her father killed by a vicious terrorist. Namir, Leopard, is an escaped war criminal. One of the most wanted men on earth. He has several men with him. He is on a killing spree. The girl is his target. And now, she has a protector. One man against ruthless, well-armed killers. That man is Zeb Carter. Game on.

What did I like? As everyone that reads my reviews knows, I love this series! I love the morals, ideals and nonstop actions that never stops amazing me. I have no idea where the author comes up with these ideas but each one has been even more enjoyable, has more action, more incredible situations and glues my eyes to the pages till the last one turns! These stories are ideas – that have become a people who has their story. Something beautiful happens when you develop and build a close relationship and friendship with someone and that someone is Zeb Carter and the team!

What will you like? You will love the concept of the books and each of the players in all the books. The thought and the research that it took to write each of the books but to be able to pull them all together is incredible. Amazing, incredible, unbelievable, intriguing, mysterious, and just plain darn enjoyable reading! What more could I say that would describe this set of compelling books. I have laughed, cried and shouted, each book has set my emotions on fire. To say that this series is addicting, with warnings of complete withdrawal pains when you finish a book till the next one comes out. I received this from the author as an ARC for an honest review with no other compensation.

Vacation? Is that what Zeb calls it. He's hunting, fishing, and living without electronics in the wilderness. That is until he's awakened by a young teen running into his camp terrified and in shock.
She mumbles a name he knows. Namir. She says he's killed the girl's parents and is after her with a gang of men. Bye Bye vacation. He's outnumbered and outgunned. No way can he chance a showdown and risk leaving the girl in that monster's hands. There's only one thing to do. Run.

Their travels are many and dangerous. He chooses not to call in his team, who are all on vacation as well. His main priority is the safety of the young girl. Danger, fights, who to trust, finding a place for her where she will be safe. Knowing there is no such place as long Namir is alive.

Can Zeb take on the terrorist no one can keep down? He escaped prison. Will he escape Zeb? As always the man is a machine when he encounters the enemy. Is this the time he takes on too much single-handed?

Another winner. Ty Patterson never fails to impress. His books are responsible for many a sleepless night for me. Warning, start it when you have some time--you won't want to put it down.
I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Ty Patterson's 'Warrior' series is a great concept and is brilliantly written, with great plots and fantastic action sequences, this book, although great is the best of the series. I'm not going to give any significant spoilers, but there are a couple of things that I have issue with. Firstly Zeb (the main character) has access to a brilliant team of operatives, yet he chooses to take on an international terrorist and a drug cartel on his own, whilst trying to keep a young girl safe, I just found it very frustrating that he didn't call in one or more of his team. Secondly, the amount of injuries that he sustains and still manages to keep going is quite frankly unbelievable (I don't believe that anyone could continue to function at the level he does after being shot by a bullet from a sniper rifle and being stabbed as well. I know that he has almost mystical powers, but it is taken too far in this story.
Having said all that, if you can get past these relatively minor niggles, I must say that the story is exciting and cleverly written, the characters are all fantastically drawn and Ty's trademark action sequences are awesome. I just wish I could have given it 5 stars, but it is still a very strong 4 star book.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review:

While I am a first time reader of Ty Patterson and his Zeb Carter protagonist, I still felt grounded after jumping into this 12th episode of The Warriors series. Zeb, the terrorist threat, and the victims stand quite well on their own regardless of our hero's previous adventures. Ironically, Zeb finds a new ally in one of the victims, a teenage Iraqi orphan. This young girl speaks to the YA market about loss and recovery. In fact, I believe she has a future role in this Warrior series.

Zeb Carter reminds me a little bit of the well-known Jack Reacher. Maybe not as intimidating or attractive to women, but loaded with quiet skills that should never be under-estimated. Author Ty Patterson also displays a pace similar to Reacher's author, Lee Child. Their respective chapters are not lengthy, but direct to the action. Both authors share their man's inner dialog and that adds to the depth of character.

I'm now looking forward to the next tale of Zeb's zen-like combat and hopefully meeting the other Warrior characters hinted at in "Run!".

As usual with Patterson's books, this was an action-packed read from beginning to end. I honestly can't get enough of Zeb.

I noticed in another review that someone mentioned it being unrealistic that Zeb can continue on while being quite badly injured.

However, it is known that adrenaline alone can keep you going in dire situations, at least for a certain amount of time.. Add to that, Zeb has years of training with armed combat, various martial arts, has experienced being tourtued etc so for me, it was believable that he could compartmentalise the pain in order to finish what he started. With all of his experiences and skills, he was bound to handle injuries better than the average human.

It's even mentioned throughout the book that he is struggling with his injuries:

"Zeb knew he was bad shape."

"Animal brain had taken over."

"He knelt to the floor, wincing when the wound in his thigh shot bolts of fire. Ignore."
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Zeb Takes a Vacation!
I received a free advance e-copy of this book and have chosen to write an honest and unbiased review. I have no personal affiliation with the author. Wow! Couldn’t put it down. Full of action and suspense. A frightful man who is a terrorist and war criminal is out for revenge and he and his men hook up with a drug cartel. Zeb is supposed to be on vacation but now he is on the run with a 15 y/o girl. Who can they trust? This is a well-written and action packed thriller with good character development and an amazing plot. You will find this book to be well worth the read. Find out if Zeb and the girl make it out alive. I look forward to reading more from Ty Patterson in the future.

If you enjoy a well written action / adventure with spy / spec ops overtones, you might really enjoy this book. I know I did!

Kind of a hybrid between an earlier well written Tom Clancy with a Guy Gavriel Kay single volume Warr tale, Like Tigana: evil the foes are revealed in such a way as to make them 3D folks, mourning their friends and family, striking out as they can, in primal ways.

Zeb and Sara are appealing and relatable, weapons descriptions are colorful and lively. You can almost smell and hear the AK 47s and Kalishnikovs.

I enjoyed reading an advance copy of this book - and I really did enjoy it!

If you like relatable, colorful character, fast paced action, with flowing story lines, this might just be YOUR next great action read!

Immensely enjoyable adventure!

Zeb Carter is alone on his vacation, camped out in the wilderness having a calm, relaxing time until, in the dark hours of the night, a young, almost incoherent girl comes stumbling into his makeshift cabin. And let the action commence…

Yet another adrenaline filled read in the Warriors series. So filled with action and suspense in fact, that I kept forgetting to breathe.

Young Sara is a terrific character, stoic, sensible and very likeable. Zeb is his usual laconic, understated and remarkably dangerous self. The two are pitted against some especially despicable characters whose downfall it was easy to wish for.

Zeb is in the wilderness of Idaho, without humans and ponderosa pines.
He built a hut, loving the effort and time it took, to be woken up with a young girl banging on the door. A out fifteen and the look of shock on her face, Saying the name Namir, a terrorists had killed her father.
The group at the agency were all scattered on vacations, he would deal with this himself. They are attacked and Zeb has taken bullets in his chest, lucky to be alive. Sara’s shoulder was already on the mend. Agency group would not know what he went through. Zeb does what he has to and help those that are in need,

SO MUCH FOR VACATION! Run is the twelfth book in The Warriors series. This can be read as a standalone, but all of the books build on the main storyline so I encourage you to read these books in order if possible. There is a lot of violence.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. Zeb Carter is on vacation just minding his own business in the middle of nowhere when his latest mission finds him. The storyline is typical for the series, but this book is definitely worth reading. I will continue to read more of this series.

Run. Ty Patterson

Zeb, the leader of a government sanctioned elite task force is on vacation. Camping in the deep forests of the Idaho wilderness. Relaxation. Well earned and deserved. Suddenly everything crumbles, a young girl needs his help. Her father has been viciously murdered. She's on the run, right into his campsite. Zeb doesn't hesitate. He will do whatever it takes to help and protect her. This is a fantastic action packed thriller of epic proportions!! Typical Patterson!!

Best Zeb Book Yet

As expected from author Tyler Patterson, the action and intrigue starts on the first page and ramps up from there. This is the best novel in the series from the point of story line, characters and explosive action, with some unexpected twists and turns. I would have read it in one sitting, but the battery on my Kindle Fire ran down...bummer! I'm looking forward to the next book.

Another hit!

As usual, Ty Patterson has written another great book. I have yet to pick up one of his books that I didn’t like. Action packed from start to finish. Just when you think Zeb can’t possibly get out of a situation, he always finds a way out of it. The bad guys don’t stand a chance. Check it out, you will be glad you did.

Action Packed!

I can't get enough of Cal Stokes and the Warriors Series! In this edition, Cal is camping in the wilderness on his own, without his awesome team to back him up, and trouble finds him! Patterson has developed an extremely strong fighting machine in Cal which makes excellent page turning action filled reading. I highly recommend this book!

The final episode in The Warriors series and way up there with the best. This one sees Zeb doing it all on his own. With the rest of his team on leave all over the globe we find Zeb batlling Islamist terrorists and a drug cartel who join forces to try to get him. Non-stop action and suspense from start to finish. A wonderful read.

Another Great Thriller

Not your typical 'hero rescues damsel in distress' novel. Zeb Carter is a thinking, plotting, killing machine in tune with what is right and good.
Patterson once again delivers one of the best thrillers of the year.

I loved this Warrior Series and read all 12 novels right after another. All the novels were page turners. I hope there are more; although I will now try the Gemini series. I only have one question, how many times must Zeb be stabbed in either shoulder before they lose their effectiveness?
