Marie Harte is a new author to me, and I found that her work was a little different which made me want to see what it was all about. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised.
What I have found is that anything goes in her world. There is MM MFM and anything in between. It is original, it is fun, it is sexy, it is sizzling, it is strangely erotic in this paranormal world, and you will need more than a long drink to cool down.
There is plenty of action and sexfests and you want to do away with the evil who place horrors against the characters. You want to be there to do harm when they infiltrate the enemy.
If you like something oh so sexy, spicy and erotic, steaming and exciting with multiple partners then this is a book you should grab and dive right in.

Alex Palmer is a delicious alpha male character in this story. He is still reeling from the loss of his sister and the other members of the team can see that he is becoming reckless. Being a member of the pack of Circe’s is not the easiest as everyone has a different personality, but he is starting to find a life within the pack, but revenge is still out of his hands. He is slowly coming to terms with the changes in his life, but the thirst for vengeance is an ache that will not go away. And now he may have found the way to obtain what he needs.

Kennedy Knight didn’t expect to be placed in hell when she joined a research group studying psychic gifts, nor did she expect that she would lose her humanity. But that is exactly what happened thanks to Dr. Edwin Lang and his jolly gang of raving psychopaths. All she wants is freedom for herself and her cousin and to make these sick monsters pay for what they are doing. But freedom was not in the books for them both. Her cousin Charlie advised that only Kennedy could leave, and to find a person that would help her get her cousin out. Alex Palmer will destroy Dr. Lang and his psychotic pets.

Holy hades but was there luscious hotness in this book! Alex and Kennedy are an awesome couple and totally match each other. The interactions between Kennedy and Alex are explosive. I truly cheered for this couple of the story progressed. What I liked the most was seeing that this newest grouping of Circe’s still follows the same path as the previous group in how they interact with each other and the mates to the pack members. The story is action packed and makes for a quick, but thoroughly enjoyable read. Another amazing addition to the Circe’s world that Marie Harte has created and I cannot wait for the next book because I am hoping that one character in the story gets something coming to her that she so richly deserves!

I really enjoy this world Ms. Harte has built. And this group of Circs are much edgier than the previous versions and I love that as well. Alex isn't quite sure what to make of his new world. He has lost the person who grounded him when his sister died and to make matters worse, he gets to view her last moments in techno-color. Meeting Kennedy couldn't have come at a worse time. He isn't ready to let go of his guilt but will holding on to it cost him his future.

I loved seeing Gideon and his crew again. They are becoming a pack and it isn't natural to them in any way shape or form. They are brought together by their change and finding their way isn't easy. Throw in a different sex drive and boy do you have drama. But in spite of the changes I love how Ms. Harte is making them a family. Kennedy isn't sure who to trust especially as her world has changed and she has lost her cousin. I love that Alex has patience, maybe too much, as Kennedy finds her footing. I loved seeing Kennedy and Alex learn to trust in not only each other but their pack. Ms. Harte gives a a book that has major heat! I loved the passion, the chemistry and the sense of family she brought to this story. Even as Alex and Kennedy connected at a much deeper level.

This story is a great addition to this series and I can't wait to see where Ms. Harte will take us next in this world.

Any reader would want their own Circe, it’s how the world of romance is supposed to be, in literal form anyway – that alpha masculinity that protects, respects and is proud of the woman in their lives. I’ve read this series from the beginning, the Circe’s that is. Circe’s recruits 2.0 is the extension of the original series and begins with Gideon – Alex is book number 2.

The reason I have stuck with Ms Harte’s paranormal romance if the accuracy of her writing, in line with dream romances. There is danger and risk involved with any relationship, emotional upheaval and heart wrenching moments too; Mr Harte’s novels enhance what we expect and add some extra spice to make it a scintillating exploration in escapism. Always wonderfully written, Ms Harte’s books come alive from the first page. The only downside I could think of, to add to this review, is the need to keep reading more – Marie Harte writes highly addictive novels.

As with all the Circe books this is one intense story. Alex is the "little guy" of Circe 2.0. A nickname given him by fellow Crice Carter. Alex's history is one of loneliness and pain since he lost sister Katie to the evil Dr. Lang and he lives for revenge against the rogues who killed her. He lives with the constant ache in his heart and believes that his only relief will come with the destruction of Dr. Lang and all that he stands for. That is until he rescues Kennedy when she escapes from her prison with the help of her cousin Charlie. A good quote comes from Alex that shows how dependent he and his fellow Circes are to each other, "We are all kinds of fucked up". This reflects how each member relies
on sex to appease their baser natures. A good second book in this series and look forward to reading more in the coming books. I did get this book as an ARC from Ms. Harte.

Loved Alex when we met him in Gideon's story and could not wait for his story. Another quick action packed and steamy read. While seeking revenge on the ones responsible for his sisters death he finds Kennedy, together they form a bond that soon includes the pack. I want to add more hear but it feels like I'm giving spoilers (I hate spoilers) so go get you copy and enjoy this installment of Circe's 2.0

Another entry in the saga of Circ's. This is the third book in the third series and I'm really looking for the bad guys to get what they deserve

This is a great fast paced, action filled story of revenge, acceptance and love. The entire new pack makes an appearance in this second addition of the 2.0 series, with the main focus being on Alex and Kennedy. He is on a mission of revenge, wanting Dr. Lang and his mutated Circ’s to pay for Katie’s death and Kennedy is fighting to survive and save herself and her cousin from the torture and sick experiments being performed on them. Alex is shocked and unsettled by the connection he and Kennedy have and she is equally as leery, having trusted the wrong people before but their inner beasts call to each other and it does not the two long to realize the monster’s will not be denied.

Alex started working for Dr. Lang and his team as part of the security detail for U-Ground to protect his sister and help correct a mistake. He never asked to made into what he has become, losing his humanity and turning into a monster that craves blood, violence and sex. Always connected to his sister psychically, he feels a deep loss without her presence and an all-consuming rage from his inner beast wanting revenge for her death. She grounded him and with her absence in his head and life, he is out of control, withdrawing from the team and more volatile. He is out to decimate the sick sadists who murdered her and he will let nothing stand in his way, not his new family or even the beauty who calls to him and his beast on a deeper level. He will do whatever he has to do to avenge Katie’s death.

Kennedy has always yearned to be accepted for who she was, not be labeled a freak; just wanting to belong. Alone in the world aside from her cousin Charlie, when she heard of a secret government project being conducted by the CIA on ESP they both jumped at the chance to participate. She being able to read minds and with her cousin’s gift of precognition, they were perfect fits. However things are never as they seem and as soon as the project gets underway, she realizes the mistake they made trusting the wrong people and now they are trapped, desperate to escape. With help by the other captives and Charlie’s gift she is able to escape, promising to get help and return. She runs into Alex and his team and after sharing information, they make plans to return to save the other women still trapped inside. Thinking only of her cousin and rescuing her, misplaced trust and betrayal almost cost her and Alex’s lives; also putting the rest of the team in danger. Can she and Alex survive what Dr. Lang and his team have in store for them? After the misleading information and false trails, will her new family get to them in time or did trusting the wrong person set her and Alex up for a fate worse than death?

First read and reviewed in 2017 and I am still loving this series in 2021.
The series is now in KU so I am reading them again.
Best to read in order to get the whole benefit of the sub stories so start with the original CIRCE’S RECRUITS and the follow-on series DAWN ENDEAVOUR.
If you want something that is a bit different, not quite shifter and not quite alien, along the lines of government science projects, genetically altering people, everything going wrong, scientists playing god, then this might just be for you.
Circe’s Recruits - Soldiers turned into something more.
They fight against the ones who could not take being turned, or just ended up bad and are called rogue circs.
These new Circ's are something special.
I recommend reading book one, GIDEON first to really appreciate this story. Reading the original Circe’s Recruits would also give an understanding of what the background story and players are. Dawn Endeavour series is also linked.
Oh wow, it has been a long time coming but well worth it. So glad Ms Harte has had the ideas for writing more Circ’s for us.
Now these are released in KU I am hoping I just to wait for more books,
Alex we met in Gideon’s story.
Alex is the only one on the team who is not a trained fighter and is still learning fighting techniques. He is the gentleman Circ, until you get him angry. He is carrying a lot of guilt and anger over losing his sister Katie. (covered in book 1).
Kennedy has been an unhappy guest of Lang for months and has also been turned into a Circ against her will.
When her foreseeing cousin helps her escape, she stumbles straight into Alex and Eli.
Lovely to get such a good mix of happy and sad moments in this story.
Cannot wait for the next book.
I was kindly gifted this book years ago by the author for an honest review but am rereading through Kindle Unlimited.
