After 26 years in Corporate leadership at a Fortune 500, I discovered people within the organization lacked integrity. I’d always known deep in my soul that I was trying to fit a square peg in to a round hole since I’m the typical creative type. I miss my staff but I don’t miss the corporate world. It’s been said that the Universe will let you know if something isn’t right for you. The first time, it will hit you with a pebble. Then a brick. Then a boulder. Let’s just say that I got flattened. When my fifteen pound toy dog, Nigel, was threatened, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
It’s true.
Here’s what I found within the first thirty days of being free. Writing stories from my heart that readers love means more to me than working myself in to an early grave for people who only care about their bottom line.
My heart has never been more full and my soul has never been more satisfied.
I’ve never worked so hard in my life but it doesn’t even feel like work. It’s worth it. All of it. Because it’s about the joy that’s found within the journey. The highs and the lows because I get to write stories for all of you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, enjoying and recommending the stories that I write. When you share my work with others, nothing is more rewarding. Your word of mouth is my very best friend … that, and your reviews. There is nothing more important to me than all of you.
I love to hear from my readers and answer all communications personally. You can find me at:

I have only read Jessica Gray's Fireworks of Love book from this package. It is another awesome book by a first rate author. This has the international flair of a holiday and a festival in China. There are so many details, the reader could easily believe they are in China seeing the festival or taking part in the Chinese New Year traditions. I've seen China Ice carving artists here in the US and been to a couple of small exhibits where the rooms are kept at about 7 degrees. It is awesome to see and awesome to watch them do the carvings. I have a hard time putting down Jessica Gray's books to go eat, or go to bed or do anything I'm supposed to because they are just that good. A Must Read for everyone.

This was a great box set of twenty contemporary romances. Something for everyone. Some of the best romance authors are featured in this collection. All of the stories are Holiday themed and one that I especially enjoyed was Fireworks of Love by Jessica Gray. Well written with great characters. A bargain. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this collection

I received a free copy of Fireworks of Love by Jessica Gray and this review was given freely.
This is a well written full length novel that is set in modern China, steeped in the Chinese traditions surrounding Chinese New Year, and a great romance.
Rowan's accepting that both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western more scientific medicine are beneficial as well as the sweet caring love he finds in Joanna/ Jin Yue are the back bone of this story. Smarmy Nelson who gives all American's a bad name, Mei who represents the catch a rich foreigner husband campaign, and the inclusion of both Patrick Armstrong and his fiancee Angela make this a well rounded story that ties in well with Jessica Gray's Armstrong series.

So far I've only read A Moonlit Serenade by Alexa Padgett. Ryn and Jake's story was wonderful. I absolutely loved Jake in this. He was determined yet vulnerable and understood what Ryn needed. There were times I wanted her to stand up to some of the other characters. It wasn't until closer to the end of the book that I understood why Ryn didn't earlier in the book. Ryn and Jake together was lovely. Sometimes I wish I could hear these songs that are sung in Alexa's books. The ending put a huge smile on my face. Overall the story moved well and the relationship wasn't instalust, which I absolutely dislike. I would recommend this book along with all the others in the series.

I read CANDLES AND YOU. In our current culture where too much is all about the bottom line, where do people come in? Especially poor, inner-city children? About an eight hour read, I'd put it on the young adult shelf. I HIGHLY commend it and would give it five stars as a stand-alone. I have not read the other books in the set.
I read a free copy of CANDLES AND YOU and this voluntary review is entirely my own opinion.

All of these stories in the boxed set center around the Holiday. Fireworks of Love by Jessica Gray, was an interesting story taking place in China. I liked learning about some of the Chinese culture and some of it if it is true surprised me. I liked the characters of Jin Yie Wei and Rowan although I was not as fond of Nelson or Mei. This story centered around the time before Chinese New Year.

You will definitely get a bang for your buck in this anthology of romance stories written by very talent authors. No matter your taste in contemporary romance stories , you will find one for you.
As a fan of Ms Gray, I was attracted to her story, Fireworks of Love. A story that begins in China, one of my personal favorite countries. One filled with traditions , whether they be in medicine, celebrations or their view of life.
The main characters, Joanne/Jin Yue and Rowan, as well as the secondary ones, and the plot, are well developed.
An engaging as well as an entertaining story, with good guys and not so great ones.
I was gifted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Allyson Lindt's "The Virgin and The Kingpin" is in the Your Ad Here universe, but you can read it as a standalone. I was waiting to find out more about Andrew. I love how broken he is. He has a lot of depth to his character, and many different issues to overcome. Lots of sexy chemistry. I love his descriptions of her...you can tell he is truly enamored with her. I had to go start reading "Boarding Buddies" (the story of Andrew & Mercy's past, which you can get through the author's newsletter) right away.

Holidays Ever After : Contemporary Romance Holiday Boxed Set
By: Several Authors

I read the wonderful story “Home is Where The Heart is” by Vivi Holt. This is a good , clean, Christian romance and very powerful. I have not found any of Ms. Holt’s books that I did not like. She did not disappoint. I really loved the story and the Inspiration part . The characters were so real I felt like I was right there with them. The author drew me in right at the start and I did not want to put it down. A young woman gets word that her parents were killed in an accident. She returns home to get things settled. She finds more than she expected. She has never believed in God. With God’s healing and forgiveness will she get a second chance at love and life?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had to give a positive review.

Wonderful holiday set by some great authors. Some of my favorites were:

Paws and Claws - Becca Fanning
Luke is in town trying to find clues to lead him to his parents. He just happens to get in a bar fight and somehow Santa ends up in the hospital.
Sam hates Christmas, yet she is working hard to make toys for the children with her friend and co worker Helen. These two are made for each other if they can just get past all the stuff getting in the way. :)

Rekindling Christmas - Rebekah R. Ganiere
Annika is a single mom with a great career. Things are going just fine and suddenly her first love is back in town.
Jesse had a great NFL run until he injured his knee. Now taking a position as a coach at his old college seems like a great idea. Just a bit surprised to see his Anna his first week, and very determined to get her back after all these years.

I really enjoyed these books although....I have to tell you Rebekah R. Ganiere, your story "Rekindling Christmas", while being a lovely story with a HEA....Made me cry! It was just lovely.

If you like Romance, Terrific Reads, Christmas and all the good things that go with it, then this is your set!

I read this book as part of Holidays Ever After: Contemporary Romance Holiday Boxed Set. You can find my review of the anthology as a whole at https://www.goodreads.com/review/show....

Maya and Zane knew each other in college before he abruptly disappeared without saying goodbye. The story starts in Cancun where both Maya and Zane happen to be on vacation and run into each other. Skip ahead 15 years and they are married with three kids. They have a seemingly idyllic life, but seem to have drifted apart. Over the course of the book, they attempt to find their way back to each other with the help of Maya's sister (and sex therapist) Leslie and Zane's best friend J.P., who happen to be married. As the holidays approach, Maya's mother, Millie, comes to stay with her family. Unfortunately, Millie and Maya have never seen eye to eye and Millie has also never liked Zane. Millie particularly hates that now, in addition to celebrating Hanukkah, the way Maya was raised, Maya's family celebrates Christmas, which Zane grew up with. Overall, I really liked the way this book was set up, with most of it taking place well into the marriage. Despite Maya and Zane having been married for 15 years, the story still includes some steamy sex scenes. The book is told from both Maya's and Zane's perspectives and is HEA with no cliffhanger.

Merged review:

I enjoyed this anthology very much. It wasn't what I was expecting, but not necessarily in a bad way. I had been hoping for an anthology of Christmas and maybe New Year's stories, but it turns out this anthology was titled Holidays (plural) for a reason. While it did include many Christmas and at least one New Year's stories, there were many other holidays represented, including Yule, Valentine's Day, Nowruz (Iranian New Year), Dia de los Muertos, Samhain/Halloween, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Oben (a Japanese festival), Thanksgiving, and Kwanzaa. This ended up being a very informative and diverse read (I just hope all of the information is correct, as I am not well versed in most of these holidays and their accompanying traditions). This being the case, it wouldn't do the stories in this anthology justice to just review them as a whole. Therefore, I will review them individually (in order and with the holiday of each underlined).

Solstice Song by Colleen Charles
5 stars
This was a sweet story while also being quite steamy. Savannah (Savie) Starr is a singer on tour. She meets Ronan O'Farrell, Bard of his village, when her bus breaks down on a back road in Wintervale, Ireland just before Yule (or, in Savie's case, Christmas). Instead of freezing on the bus, she choses to follow Ronan back to his very primitive home where they continue to not get along. This story was engaging and had me hooked from the beginning. While it is HEA with no cliffhanger, I feel that there were some things left unsettled, particularly in regard to Ronan's chauvinistic, controlling behavior and his role as Bard. I enjoyed that the story was told from both Savie's and Ronan's perspectives. While there were some issues with the story switching between past and present tense, I gleaned a lot of information about Paganism, Yule, and druidism (provided all information was correct). Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Note, if you are struggling with some of the Irish slang in the book, you can find a glossary of the terms at the end of the book.

Yule Be Mine by Monica Corwin
2.5 stars
This story was pretty short and ends in a huge cliffhanger. Honestly, it was very frustrating. The story was starting to get really interesting when it abruptly ends. The story features Bali and Reid, who are both incidentally hiding out from something. Reid, who is renting from Bali, ends up stuck in Bali's home, leading to 1 steamy scene. There isn't actually a holiday included within this part of the story. Yule is briefly mentioned, but it hasn't occurred yet. It was a pretty cute story told from the perspective of both characters, but not my favorite. There were also quite a few errors in the writing (tense switching, incorrect grammar, misplaced punctuation). Regardless, I would like to read the rest of the story.

Blissful Valentine: A Novella by Amy L. Gale
3 stars
This is a college romance between Brooke and Dean (meaning it includes some immaturity due to age). It was a pretty quick Valentine's Day read. The story is told entirely from Brooke's perspective. While there is 1 sex scene, it is not very explicit or steamy. The story was kind of sweet, but I'm not sure how motivated I am to continue reading the Blissful series. While the book doesn't exactly end in a cliffhanger, the chunk of text following the story implies that the story isn't done yet. If the books were free, I would be interested to hear Lexi's story and perhaps more of Brooke's.

Paws and Claus by Becca Fanning
3.5 stars
This story was cute and mostly lighthearted. Luke is a bear shifter in Alaska looking for family when he has an unfortunate encounter with Santa and gets stuck assuming his duties for the holidays. Sam owns an antique shop and runs a toy making business out of the back. Her family has been making toys for Christmas for years and isn't on the best of terms with Santa. In order to try and compete with Santa, Sam and her co-worker (an elf that escaped from Santa) decide to use magic powder to "persuade" other elves to come work for them and escape Santa's cruelty. Little do they know, Luke is now in charge and his first act was to give the elves more freedom than they've ever dreamed possible. When Sam finds out the Luke is working for Santa and Luke finds out Sam has been stealing his elves, they are both understandably angry. And now that they've essentially sabotaged each other, the only way to save Christmas is to work together. While there is 1 sex scene, it isn't too steamy. This book had a fun story chalked full of elves, talking reindeer, and other fictitious characters. It is HEA with no cliffhanger and told from both perspectives.

Tempting Navid by Victoria Pinder
4 stars
Elle's entirely family is in jail for a crime they didn't commit and her assets are all frozen. In need of money, she seeks out a job as a nanny working for the half-brother of a friend, the very sexy, incredibly wealthy Navid. Elle and Navid's daughter, Margo, quickly form a bond. Not long after being hired, Navid gets a call from an old enemy threatening Margo. Navid moves them into a more secure location where Elle and Navid grow closer by the day (despite Navid's struggles with his past). With Nowruz (Iranian New Year) approaching, Margo is desperate to make a sofreh in honor of the holiday. Elle's determination to help Margo to succeed, despite knowing nothing about the holiday or its traditions, further endears her to the entire family. It doesn't take long for Navid's enemy to discover that the woman he assumed to be Navid's girlfriend and kidnapped (as he could not easily get to Margo) is not actually the woman Navid cares for, though, and trouble soon lands at Navid's doorstep. There are 3 semi-steamy sex scenes in this book, but none are overly-explicit. The story is HEA with no cliffhanger. It is told from both perspectives and includes information on Iranian traditions surrounding Nowruz. Overall, this was a sweet story with some danger and left me very interested in reading more of the Hawke Family series.

A Moonlit Serenade by Alexa Padgett
4.5 stars
Jake Etsam is a world-famous rock-star. Lauryn (Ryn) Hudson is an equally talented musician that prefers teaching music classes for toddlers. Neither is what the other expected and their lives are in no way similar. Jake is fascinated by Ryn and desperately wants her to make an album with him, while Ryn isn't so sure about Jake or the project. In an effort to get to know the reluctant Ryn better as well as convince her to sign onto the project, Jake tries to spend as much time with her as possible. Unfortunately, Ryn's deceased husband's family doesn't take well to the two of them spending time together. Despite Ryn's discomfort with Jake's fame and all that it entails (such as paparazzi) she never treats Jake like anything other than just another person. As it becomes clear that someone has it out for Ryn, Jakes protective instincts kick in. The story covers the entirety of Ryn and Jake's relationship, from the day they meet to the day they get married, featuring both of their perspectives throughout. It is a super sweet HEA story with no cliffhanger. While I wouldn't necessarily say this is a holiday story, it does cover both Christmas and Valentine's Day. There are multiple sex scenes in the book, but none are too explicit. I would definitely like to read more of the Seattle Sound series!

Violet's Bucket List by Tuesday Embers
5 stars
When Violet and Brady lose their best friend Caty as a roommate, Brady finds them a new one: Eli. Sadly for Violet, she suffers from an intense, potentially incurable case of the Hot Guy Blurts and Eli is one of the hottest men she's ever encountered. Her inability to be around Eli without the verbal vomit makes for some incredibly entertaining moments. Not long after moving in, Eli learns about Violet, Brady, and Caty's bucket list and they invite him to join them in crossing things off the list, including sky diving, learning French, and placing a high-stakes bet. When Caty finds her fiancé, Dennis, cheating on her, the friends get the opportunity to cross one more thing off their list and endeavor to make him regret the day he was born. When an enemy of Eli's seeks to take his anger at Eli out on Violet, Eli moves her in with his boss, Antonio. When Antonio hears them discussing their plans for Dennis, he wants to get involved and manages to hit Dennis one of the places it hurts most: his car. This story was full of rich characters (including Mr. Li, a father figure to Violet and their landlord who runs the Chinese restaurant below their apartment). I loved the relationships behind them. It is clear that Violet, Brady, and Caty (and soon Eli) have an unbreakable bond and would do anything for each other. So, when Dia de los Muertos comes around and Violet sinks into a deep depression over her first Dia de los Muertos without her mother (her mom's birthday and favorite holiday), they pull together to get her through the day and night, doing all of the things they used to do with Violet's mother was alive, from painting their faces to making sugar skulls to sleeping in the graveyard. The story wasn't very steamy with no explicit sex scenes, but it was super cute. I absolutely adored it and was sad to see it end. This HEA story has no cliffhanger and is told entirely from the perspective of Violet.

Blossoms of the Heart by Khardine Gray
4.5 stars
Phoebe, an expect in dead languages, is invited to Japan by her father's best friend, Akito, to translate a text they found recently along with the body and sword of a long-dead samurai. Phoebe is ecstatic to travel to Japan, home of her best friend (and Akito's daughter), Mitsuke, and full of wonderful memories with her now deceased father, especially since it means getting away from her sister, Emma, and ex, Jason, who just got married, and her rather insensitive mother. The team must have all of the research done by Obon (a Japanese festival). This becomes very difficult when Phoebe and Tai, another member of team and a man Phoebe has known since she was spurned by him years ago, give in to their intense attraction for one another and consistently sneak off to have sex in the middle of the day (resulting in many steamy sex scenes). Despite how much Phoebe may like Tai, however, she is absolutely convinced he will no longer want to be with her when he finds out she can't have children. As a result of being told for years that she is damaged by Emma, Jason, and her mom, she has come to believe the same and is terrified of Tai finding out the truth. This story is HEA, told from Phoebe and Tia's perspectives, and has no cliffhanger. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

The Virgin and the Kingpin by Allyson Lindt

Mercy was kicked out by her father years ago for refusing to conform to his standards. Now Mercy is back in town with her husband Ian. Mercy's friend Andrew is in town for business and to spend some time with his "nephew", Lucas. On one of his first nights in town he runs into Susan, Mercy's little sister, and saves her from an over-zealous man trying to pick her up. During Andrew's time in town, he and Susan become closer. In doing so, Susan learns what really happened between her sister and the rest of the family so many years ago and finds herself facing a similar situation. I was very glad to see her stand up to her father and also happy for the support Mercy provides when Susan needs it most. I loved the character dynamics - the relationships, the histories, the struggles. This story is told from both Susan's and Andrew's perspectives and has a couple of steamy sex scenes. It wasn't very holiday heavy or centered, but it does mention Christmas. While the reader is told what Andrew's job is, we don't get a really good look at what that entails. Regardless, I'm not sure he's a kingpin in the traditional sense of the word. The book features quite a few unnecessary and misplaced commas, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. It is HEA with no cliffhanger and has a very sweet ending. This book may be a part of the Nerd Love Equation series, but I'm not positive.

Wiccan Fire by Liz Gavin
3 stars
Regina and Brandon have what is supposed to be a one-night affair with no last names and certainly no strings, but they end up coming face to face after Brandon saves Regina's little sister from some school bullies on Samhain (Halloween) and drives her home. He's excited to see her again but is thrown for a loop when he discovers that she and her family are Wiccan, something he believes to be mumbo jumbo. Regina and Brandon's one-night interlude includes two sex scenes in close succession, both of which are rather steamy. This book is pretty short and ends in a cliffhanger. The reader doesn't get to hear a lot of the story. I enjoyed what part of it I did get to hear, though, and would like to read more of the Carmel Coven series and hear the rest of their story.

Tempt or Treat by Jillian Quinn
4.5 stars
This book was super steamy with plenty of sex scenes, the first of which occurs on Halloween, the night Madison (Maddy) and Owen meet. Their relationship starts as a one-night stand and develops into so much more when they show up to work to find that he's the new doctor in charge of Emergency Medicine at the hospital where Maddy is an ER nurse just hired on. It ended up being a very cute HEA story told from both perspectives with no cliffhanger. I found it odd, though, that Maddy's friend and fellow nurse, Taylor, just seems to completely disappear partway through the story. I really enjoyed how the reader gets to hear the story from the night they meet all the way through the proposal. I would love to read another book of Quinn's, particularly Taylor's story.

Kiss Me at Midnight by Courtney Hunt
3.5 stars
This is the story of Eliza, a college English professor recently moved to the United States, and Peyton, a college student. It all starts on New Year's Eve when Eliza can't sleep and makes her way to a central area in town just before midnight and shares a kiss with a very attractive stranger. When she shows up to the first day of class to find him in the front row, she is incredibly unwilling to pursue any sort of relationship. She does, however, agree to a friendship with Peyton. As they get closer, Eliza finds it harder and harder to resist their mutual attraction. Eventually, she decides to stop playing it safe and chases her dreams. I really enjoyed how they ended up developing such a good friendship before becoming more. This is a relatively quick read told from both perspectives featuring one relatively steamy sex scene. It features a very sweet HEA ending with no cliffhanger.

Home is Where the Heart Is by Vivi Holt
3 stars
A sweet, clean, Christian romance, this story features Isabella and Baker and takes place near Christmas. Baker had a crush on Isabella while they were in high school, but she was popular and he was meerly a scrawny, pimply teen who she avoided. Now that she's back in town following her parents' untimely deaths, he hopes this could be his opportunity to be with her, but is concerned she still views him the same way. Conversely, Isabella is afraid that she isn't good enough for Baker, considering her wild and Athiest past and his being a man of God. While it is told from both perspectives, the majority of the book is told from Isabella's. This was a quick, HEA read with no cliffhanger.

This set is of 20 anthologies of romance stories in Holidays Ever After: Contemporary Romance Holiday Boxed Set in which I will update my review as I read each book of the set. Each book is set around a holiday from different cultures and times of the year. Many of my favorite authors are in this set with some characters from their previous books show up in these new stories to entertain us again.

Kiss me at Midnight by Courtney Hunt 5 Stars
I love Courtney Hunt’s book and this one is set around New Year Eve in Ashford Falls and in front of the Cupid coffee Shop, so if you are a fan of this great author you will be familiar with this town. Some of our favorite characters from the Cupid coffee shop series with pop in this book, with Peyton March being Grayson’s brother who we met in Lucky Latte book 3.

Tempting Navid by Victoria Pinder 4 stars
I did find some errors and some edit note in the text of this book. Reading this suspenseful story revolving around the Iranian New Years celebration has taught me a few thing about the Iranian culture I was not aware of. This book is a bit hot and spicy with suspense and family drama all mixed together for a loving love story. If you have read any of Victoria Pinder books you will be familiar with some of the other characters in this story. I totally enjoyed this book.

Home is where the heart is by Vivi Holt 5 stars
This is a very sweet second chance Christian romance read and adds a nice mix to this box set. What I love the most is it’s set in Australia where I live, this book reminded me of my childhood and the happy memories I had every summer when my family would live on a dairy farm for 2 weeks over Christmas in a small Queensland town. The town was much like the one in this book where the author has captured the spirit and life of an Aussie small country town to the letter. Isabella and Baker have known each other since they were 4 years old and one has loved the other for most of this time. Vivi Holt has written a wonderful heartfelt story of loss, love, hope and personal growth to find your place to call home. I look forward to reading more about this lovely community and the characters in this book.

In this set I only liked 2 out of 20. TEMPTING NAVID: This is the 4th book I read by Victoria Pinder. This book's story line was okay. I liked Elle's character. I felt sorry for Elle. I liked Navid's character. I liked Margo's character. I felt this needed chemistry & passion. BLOSSOMS OF THE HEART 💙: This is the 2nd book I read by Khardine Gray. This book's story line was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I liked Phoebe's character. My heart broke 💔 for Phoebe. I liked Tai's character. I liked Mitsuko's character. I didn't like Phoebe's family 👪. I liked the ending. This set didn't make me feel the holiday spirit at all. I was glad to read the other authors Colleen Charles, Monica Corwin, Becca Fanning, Amy L. Gale, Alexa Padgett, Tuesday Embers, Allyson Lindt, Liz Gavin, Jillian Quinn, Courtney Hunt, Vivi Holt, Kristen Luciani, Astrid Arditi, Rebekah R. Ganiere, Jessica Gray, Ja'nese Dixon, Teresa Roman, Angela Corbett, Vivi Holt, & Kristen Luciani.

Really enjoyed the series

I really enjoyed the series but especially enjoyed the last book with Kathy and jack. But I totally loved Kutlers' story. I hope there are more stories I can read about these guys. I really enjoyed this last story and it kept me intrigued enough to keep reading it until the end because I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this series of books.

I have only read Fireworks of Love by Jessica Gray and was given an advanced reader copy of this book. I really didn't like this as much as others I have read by her. It was a very slow read for me until about 70% and it picked up at that point. The writing didn't flow very well for me and seemed very stilted at times. Not a bad read but not a favorite for me.

Okay stories.

Some stories were pretty good and some were horrible. I skipped through about half because the writing was so sloppy or the plot was just bad. I enjoyed the other half. I will say that many of these authors need better grammar and spelling editors. But for the price it was worth it...it was free at the time of purchase

Quite a few fun stories in here. Some are more to my liking than others, but that's to be expected with a boxed set. Some sweet romances, some fun "bodice rippers."All in all, I enjoyed the set, and have found some new authors to look into!

each book in itself was good. But, i did find it rather tedious after half way through and looking forward to something different. it took me over a week to get half way through. If you like a quick read, then each one in itself is quick, but the entire book would take forever to plod through. I would love to read more from Colleen Charles, but not in such a huge capacity.

All great stories

There was so many romances on this box set its hard to remember every one of those clearly. There are a few stories that seemed to be cut really short even though the characters were well developed. Happy endings for the holidays.

Fantastic Holidays

I absolutely loved these books! Every story, character, plot, and twist. I had SO MUCH trouble putting it down, at times it was in the wee hours of the night.
