“I could feel my cheeks burning up; the back of my neck grew hot under his steady gaze. My lips felt dry; there were goosebumps on my arms. The longer he looked at me, with his perfect bone structure and totally kissable lips, the more agitated I got. The mixed emotions of being annoyed with his attitude and at the same time being filled with desire for a man with the most delicious body had overwhelmed my mind.”
Heidi McNeil is determined to make her business work. She moved to Brunswick to open her cafe and to get away from the drama of LA. Her plan was working. In just one year she was running a successful business, till a dangerously handsome stranger starts a fist fight in her cafe and she has to throw him out for scaring her customers.
Rhett Larkin moved to Brunswick to start a new life. As one of the partners of a successful shipping company, at a very young age he managed to become the poster child of the self-made man and appear on the cover of Fortune Magazine. But his newfound fame invited more trouble than praise. This is especially a problem because he can’t get the owner of a small, local cafe out of his head.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an Avanced Reader Copy of this book!
I wanted to enjoy this book. I almost stopped reading it because it was so not believable. There was no real suspense and the connection between the characters was half best. It needed more to the story to make it believable and the characters needed more intense dialogue. What happened to the bad guy? Why didn't he run after Rhett and Heidi with a gun? I was waiting for it to happen and it just fell flat. There was some minor grammar errors but all in all, it was an okay read.
I didn’t just read this book. I absorbed it. From the first page I was caught up in the setting, and Heidi’s voice was clear and sure in my mind. My imagination began to picture everthing…
The smallish but busy town of Brunswick Georgia (population 15,000 +) I Googled it. It’s a real place. And beautiful. After absorbing Brunswick for a little while, I went back to the story. And got lost in it.
I could not read this story fast enough. And yet, I didn’t want it to end. The explosive connection that Rhett and Heidi have from the beginning made me simultaneously want to take a step back… and dive in. I drew a deep breath and dove in. I loved Heidi and Rhett. I wished them well. I loved the supporting characters. Maybe Rhett’s brother could get a book?? Or his partners??
I hated the villain. Passionately.
I went to bed with my Kindle in hand. I woke up sometime in the night with my face planted on the Kindle. It had just buzzed the low battery signal. So I plugged it in and reluctantly put my reading on hold. (It’s kinda embarrassing how often this happens).
And the first thing I did this morning-- before breakfast-- before coffee!! -- before anything-- was finish this book. My only criticism might be that I would have liked to have the villain truly wrapped up and shipped off (at the least). He sorta just faded out at the end. But the end was so sweet....
Books like this one are the reason I read romance stories. 5 stars.

Heidi McNeil and Rhett Larkin are in for a smoking, tumultuous ride. Heidi has moved to a charming coastal town of Brunswick, Georgia where she scrimped and saved to open her own café, Bread and Beans. This talented, feisty lady is bound and determined to begin anew after her ex (Jake) broke up with her over petty jealousy because she was promoted over him. Deciding Los Angeles is too small for the two of them. She takes her modest nest egg and heads back to the quaint little town of Brunswick, having visited there briefly and falling in love with it. Enter, Mr. Rhett Larkin, billionaire bad boy who wreaks havoc in the peaceful café by confronting a thug from his past. Sparks fly as Heidi and Rhett come face to face over the disturbance, and an irresistible attraction is born. There are great lessons here about trust, honesty, having to face up to the indiscretions of our youth and turn our stumbling blocks into stepping stones. There are a lot of bends in the road that will keep you on your toes. In the end, Heidi and Rhett have their HEA, stronger for having been tried so early. I truly enjoyed reading Touch Me (The Billionaire's Secrets Book 1) and am anxiously awaiting the next installment. I received this book as an ARC copy in return for honest review.
This is Book 1 in The Billionaire's Secret Series and I can tell you that you will enjoy this book so much you need to go ahead and purchase Book 2, Kiss Me so you can start it once you finish this story. Heidi and Rhett meet when he gets into an altercation in her café, Bread and Beans. She bans this bad boy billionaire from ever setting foot in her business again but Rhett is not a man who takes no for an answer. The chemistry is off the charts between these two but Rhett has a secret that threatens this relationship from the start. Kayla C. Oliver is a fantastic author and you can help but find yourself engrossed in this story from the beginning to the very end as you find yourself on a nail-biting quest to see if they get their HEA.
Such a Hot full of Chemistry book, I loved it❣ Touch me is a short but very sweet book I loved it, i loved Heidi and Rhett.
Heidi is such a lovely character I liked her from the very start , she strong, independent and set in her ways ....that is until Rhett comes along and rocks her world.
From the first moment you meet Rhett you NEED to know more about him he comes across a bad boy business man but he's oh so good❣ The chemistry is Hot the story is captivating and I 100% recommend this book. See less
Rhett and Heidi - almost as good as Rhett and Scarlett all those years ago. Misunderstandings and some arrogance on the part of Rhett and some good old fashioned lust and a sleazy bad-guy and some good friends and family and a very devious plan to get back at the bad-guy and love and sexy bits and then HEA. Just great. I was privileged to receive and ARC of is books and have willingly and honestly reviewed it.
Rhett and Heidi story was electric. Heidi moved to a small town in Georgia to start a new life as a bakery owner after splitting up with her boyfriend of two years. Rhett had moved there to go into business with his two best friends. Rhett had a dark past over shadowing his future happiness with Heidi and would need to take care of it before he will be able to have his HEA with Heidi. Story nicely told, really enjoyed it.
Rhett and Heidi work for me. He is a young billionaire who has a dark past which he turned around and tries to help others not make the mistakes he did. She is a cafe owner trying to make a success of her business. They meet under not great circumstances and he can not make himself walk away from her. She is attracted too but is not sure they are a good idea at first. They of course find their way to each other, pretty quickly, and find that maybe the do belong together. Good read.
I received an ARC copy and give my voluntary review. I enjoyed reading this book. It has just enough romance, suspense, and spark to keep your interest and keep you turning the pages. The storyline is good and well written. I enjoyed the banter between the characters. I...
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Another book that I really liked of hers!! They story line was great! I was hooked from the beginning! The sex....oh yeah!! You'll love it!! Read it to find out!!
Such a great book!!’ Two people afraid to make the next step, one more so than the other. I loved both characters and felt they were relatable. Storyline flowed nicely!! A couple of hot love scenes! Good read!
Completely undeveloped characters, riddled with grammar errors and boring sex scenes. Waste of time. Plus the story is only 20 percent with the other 80 percent advertising her other awful stories.
Another amazing book. I was blown away with the story, I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want more.....I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
