Omega Shared is the story of two wolf men named Owen and Zane...and a bear named Karl. This unlikely threesome are fated mates, who need to figure out a way to be together that will work for all three of them.
Karl is an alpha bear without a family of his own, since bears are solitary creatures who only form attachments to their mates. Lonely, Karl longs for family, and the comfort of having a support network, like his friends in the wolf pack enjoy. Little does he know it, but he will soon be raising his brother's cub. It would be a good idea if he had mates to help him when the adorable three-year-old girl appears in his life.
Owen is a wolf that doesn't make attachments. In his life, people leave. Never having had a family, he's pretty sure that he's not cut out for one anyway. Instead, he will just enjoy his secret affair with Karl. Who cares if they're both alphas? It's not like Owen's looking to mate and have pups of his own anyway. No, he's better off just fooling around with the alpha bear, than to risk his heart with an omega. Even one as tempting as Zane.
Zane lost his entire family on the day of his high school graduation. It's been three years now, and Zane is finally starting to heal and come into his own as an omega. When he sees an alpha from his pack kissing a bear shifter, Zane is intrigued. He'd never realized that alphas could be together romantically. Now, he can't get the memory of the two strong men kissing each other out of his mind. He feels a pull to them both, but he can't tell which one is his fated mate. They both smell so good to him! But, he couldn't possibly be a match to Karl, could he? Can wolves and bears mix? Is it even allowed? Zane has a lot to figure out if he is going to get what really wants from the two alphas: a family of his own.
This is the fourth book of the Northern Lodge Pack series. Every book is over 30k and guaranteed to have an HEA, but it's advised to read them in order for maximum appreciation. 18+ readers only please! And yes, this book contains M/PREG, knotting, adults doing lots of sexy naughty things to each other, and the occasional use of potty mouth language!
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
I was really disappointed that we only saw one matting on page. It was eluded that Zane and Carl mated but we never saw it. We never saw Carl really getting it on with either of them. Right after Zane’s and Owens first matting we should have seen Zane and Carl. Plus I believe that we only see Owen doing the bitting on both. I really needed that connection.
Sweet and, just like this whole series, creative. I enjoyed the opening scene with the two alphas, it sets the stage well for how much they need an omega (lol).
John Solo does an amazing job with this entire series, his range of voices works well between all the accents, the children, and Jake's aunt.
I really enjoyed everything about this book. From the writing, to the storyline, to the narration. Everything was pretty perfectly done and incorporated together. I really liked seeing how the two Alphas Owen & Karl, and their Omega Zane interacted with each other having such different personalities and upbringings. I think it was a smart move for this book and it was really interesting to see them all thrown together, especially when Cubs got added to their mix. Super cute how Owen did a total 180 on not wanting a Mate (or two) or even Cubs; to totally being wrapped around their fingers, there were a few times I totally laughed out loud during this book. And the narrator John made listening to this story even more enjoyable than just reading the book, he really brought a lot more feeling to this story. His voices for all three Men/Wolfs/Bears was great! This book was all around fun, funny, hot and steamy and had just about everything you want in a Alpha/Omega Shifter book. This one is for sure my favorite in this series out of the first 4 books, and I can see myself listening to this one several times.
Another good addition to the series. This is the tale of Karl, Own and Zane. Karl and Owen have been in a secret relationship due to them being both alphas until there caught in an embrace in the woods by Zane. At first owens angry and believes Zanes going to tell on them until Karl ever the sensible bear points out that Zanes there omega. This was about there romance and getting over there own problems to happy ever after. I liked that each character was different, Owen is funny, Karl romantic and calm and Zane being shy and introverted. Really enjoyed.
This book was a bit too much for me. One of the mates was just so vulgar in his speak to the point where I just wanted to skip his point of view. I understand mates are supposed to balance one another and all three of them do balance one another. This was just okay.
Book four in this series is like the other ones. The characters are well developed and the story flows nicely. I was hoping Aunt Cat would've made an appearance.
Impressions: Most m/m/m books read like a manual in "how to have a poly relationship" but this didn't. It wasn't preachy or hitting you over the head with "we need to communicate." It had some of that but it actually fit with the plot so it didn't feel too clunky.
Over all if you have read a few of her books you know what to expect. You get straight to the point, insta love. Very little world or character building. This book actually has more character building than she normally includes. It really is one of her better ones.
Plot: 3 shifters. An alpha bear, (bears being known as lone types) and two wolves, one an alpha and one an omega, (traditionally known for being pack creatures) are fated mates and try to make it work. The bear longs for a "pack" due to family history and the two wolves value being alone due to family history. All three feel like outsiders due to them wanting connections that are not "typical" for their species. It's a cute story about processing loss and accepting your ture nature. The book focuses alot on how to start a family when you had a bad one / lost yours/ maybe never had one.
TW: this book references the SA in the first book so if you couldn't deal with the first book, it's directly referenced in this one.
Audio book notes: John, John, John. He does a strange "Russian" accent for the bear shifters. It's tragic and sounds like he's doing an impression of foreign exchange students in 1980's John Hughes films.
Rating 2.5 One thing that is driving me crazy about this series is how every single person comes from a screwed up, heartrending family situation. You can have an okay family but still have problems as an adult or with relationships. It's just getting old. I also have to say that, while I really liked the big softie Karl, Owen was just a complete @ss! Poor Zane is all bashful and virginal, but Owen is insensitive and picks fights with both Karl and Zane. Karl keeps having to translate and run interference for him. I don't see this being the best triad going forward. One thing I really regretted was the timing of Zane's heat, it obscured a very important milestone for him. I have to admit that I am not one for menage books but am more accepting of it in the fated mates universe. As usual the editing is abysmal--not as bad as in the first few books but really crying out for a proofreader. Somehow, even with all these faults, I still didn't think the story was bad, just not as enjoyable as the others. I have KU and will be reading on. This series is somehow an odd guilty pleasure for me, quick, with some humor and (mostly) likeable characters.
M/M/M are not a favorite type of story. I almost didn't finish this one once I realized that I was reading about a trio of mates. But I'm so glad I was afraid of missing some important aspects of the series' plot line by not reading this particular book.
Huge Bear shifter Carl, large Alpha Wolf Owen, and reclusive, clumsy, innocent Omega Zane made for a very interesting and entertaining and set of fated mates. Two feisty redheads and a blonde were sure to create some fireworks.
Watching the three of them work out their relationship dynamics was actually quite fascinating. All of them matured over the course of the book. Having three lonely shifters balance each other out despite their insecurities and quirks was enjoyable to read. I can't even imagine which pack member will find their fated next.
I'm giving this book 4.5 stars. I liked this book the most. This is about an alpha wolf and alpha bear who have been in a relationship with each other for about two years now when they find their shared omega wolf mate. They are all three fated mates and I just loved that and I love the bear shifters in this series. The characters are adorable and the same tropes apply though none of these mates were really directly involved in the sexual assault aspect as the previous characters in the series so no real talk about that. This also has the polyamory trope, so if you don't like three people together, this particular book in the series is not for you.
I was quite disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the previous books in the series and I expected more of the same in this book. Unfortunately, it fell short on all counts. The relationship felt rushed and underdeveloped. The sex was awkward and poorly written, full of creamy essences and man-meat. It seems to me that this book was written in a hurry and it showed.
Another great add to the series. Owen, Karl and Zane are the first wolf/bear MMM couple, I love seeing more of the bears and their dynamic. These three come together at different times and it was a unique way to blend them together, each fit each other perfectly. The Universe plot grows and we see more of the other bears and enemies that pop up. Can't wait for the next.
"WARNING" contains explicit adult m/m situations Sweet story about a three some coming together. I do think this story, this series really, is very sweet. The thing about it is that there really is no conflict to overcome, no real plot, just one male shifter smelling his mate (and vice versa or is this case the three way), the omega going into heat almost immediately, BOOM! mated, pregnant, HEA
I liked that while Owen and Karl had been in a committed relationship. Having navigated the nontraditional roles before finding Zane. The two of them balance each other out and the addition of Zane only enhances their relationship. All three opened their home and heart to an unexpected addition to their new family, but Owen impressed me with his tender heart. Highly recommended author and series
This book was sweet and hot. Owen Zane Karl have a beautiful story that's well written and definitely worth reading. You will laugh and cry. Zane may be a omega but he doesn't take crap from anyone. Karl is the sweetest alpha I love the way he talks he is the calmest of the three. Owen comes across as a jurk at first but he is a big teddy bear.
What do you get when you put an Alpha Bear, Alpha Wolf, and an Omega Wolf in room together?...... One hot menage. Zane, Owen, and Karl all suffered a loss of family in the past, but now these True Mates are building their own.
This story was just so funny. I would have liked to read more about these three fated mates. The romance was sweet and the way their emotions played out was perfect. I would recommend this book to anyone.
This has nothing to do with my rating but I realized that Aunt Cat wasn't even in this book like she was mentioned and a few stories were told about her but she wasn't actually in it that's kinda sad
I think this has been my favorite book in the series so far! I mean, two hot Alpha's mating a scrawny little gingersnap? It was perfect! and now having the pack intermingle with bears? I'm literally all fuzzy and warm! Kudos to Zane for being all kinky and not settling for the norm!
Love the three together . I recommend that you should take the time to read and enjoy the stories written by susi hawke. Trixies so cute and smart a walking 30th something in a kids body
Omega Shared came with some unexpected twists, but certainly not unwelcome ones. A sweet, loving, somewhat heartbreaking story about love and family, and of course with a truly happy ending. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.
This was a wonderful book in this series. I loved how Zane held his own against Owen, and how Karl could calm them both down. And I loved the addition of Trixie to their family. This was a wonderfully entertaining read.
I was definitely surprised at how well the romance was developed and handled, especially between three very different characters. It worked well in the series and opened up another avenue for the series to expand to the Bear shifters.
