A friend suggested me this book and while it has its funny and sweet moments, I didn't like this book overall.

Coral is a shy girl who suffered abuse from her father (no disclaimer at all on this) and after leaving her shift as a waitress in a pub, she bumps into Walter Simpson, one of the gang leaders of the neighborhood and also rumor has it, the angriest of them.
Soon, she finds out that Walter also has a soft side as he tries to befriends her as well as his other 6 brothers aka the rest of the gang, who are all ruled by one of the seven sins: Walter is wrath, Phoenix is pride, Severn is sloth, Gio is gluttony, Gomez is Greed, Landon is lust and Eli is envy.

The book is mostly about Coral adapting to her new "family" and the criminal lifestyle the Simpson brothers are born into as they are at war with the Santiagos, a Venezuelan family of brothers and cousins.

My problem with the book was mostly because of the abuse; this is a trigger for me and the lack of disclaimer really bothered me, but also the ending felt rushed and somehow predictable. I'd not recommend this book to another person.

First, let me say it has been years since I have actually spent $5 on a book. So, that has to tell you something right there. The blurb grabbed my attention, and I felt compelled to read this book. Even better was that I was not let down. It was a great integration of the seven deadly sins with the and a little bit like the seven dwarfs now that I think about it. Coral is everything good in a main character. She is good and loving despite a horrific life and still even prays and is brave enough to fight for family and love. I would love to see more of a series of this book and see these brothers grow and learn to love. Great read and even better adventure.

Four Point Five Stars For The Simpson Brothers!!

This book was such a nice surprise! I came up in my recommended for you on Amazon which honestly usually leads me in the wrong direction but not with this book. The plot is so original, there's seven brothers and gang wars? Count me in!
My only complaint is that at times it felt a little outdated. Some character names I didn't like and even though the story flowed well, their wars could be a bit awkward at times.
The series that this book could be turned into would mostly likely end up going down as one of my favorites. The concept of it is perfect! I'm hoping to discover what else this author has out here.

Okay, so I read this originally read this book when it was on wattpad and lemme tell y’all, I read that so many damn times. But getting the published version, there’s a decent amount of the book that’s different. But I love the Simpson Brothers so much that both editions are AMAZING. Although I am slightly said that my favorite scene was cut from the first version to this 😭😭 but the ending scene makes up for it.

(sorry for any mistakes I can't be bothered to spend another minute on this book to look through and find mistakes.)

The Seven Deadly Simpson Brothers is not worth your time nor money. It is not good in the wider published world and unremarkable in its original wattpad setting. If you want to read something this then you have the whole of wattpad with the added bonus of not spending a dime.

The plot is poorly executed and only goes through the motions, it never leaves any real emotional impact with any tension that should be there, never is. There is a lot of cool ideas and plot lines in theory but due to sub-par writing, is mediocre and executed terribly. All of the character lack any sort of development with them the same unchanging people throughout, that are all centred around a romance that is less interesting then paint drying. I do not care what happens to the main romance as there is nothing built between them and is like every other romance. Why should I care for them? We are never given a reason why.

The mc is boring and two dimensional, her abusive past an unintentional mockery of those who are actually abused. We never get deep into her character with there being not much to her, she is a cardboard cut out. The seven brothers are anything but swoon worthy, and could be if Jojo had some sort of development colourised by generic descriptors and shallow personality. If you want intriguing male leads this book does not have it and never will.

The writing is a great example you'd give your creative writing class of novice mistakes and is amateurs writing. There is no depth to it and makes the book too easy that your brain is as docile as there is never any challenge. The style of friend telling you what they did last saturday also leads to no connection between reader and mc and so I never really felt involved with the story. It is unpleasant to read and lacks any sort of originality and device to make it pretty or fun to read.

Jojo also liked to throw in good ol' Slutshaming for no reason and tried to excuse the male leads being not great people while blasting the other gang for being the same. It would be funny if it wasn't obvious that it was Jojo trying to convince us and not a character thing. That's another thing about this book, there is no merit to its existence and is dumb fun that isn't fun, it's just dumb.

I wrote a more in depth review of this book that goes more into its issues and how you can avoid it-
https://www.wattpad.com/516673965-boo...

that review is way better then this one as well but only if you can bother to read seven thousands words of this.

Overall, the verdict is go to wattpad.com and pick the first romance and you'll get this book for free. How anyone can rate this four stars when the mistakes are so glaring and simple is beyond me. It isn't good or fun or worthwhile.

I was a bit disappointed with this book due to my own expectations. The writing is good and the characters are developed. There is a nicely paced storyline. Because of the recommendations that this book was grouped with I was expecting a bit of the paranormal and a possible RH. This book has neither. Since I didn't get what I thought I was buying, I was disappointed. If it had been grouped with gang stories or it had been priced lower, I would have enjoyed it more.

This is a book about Coral, a shy teen, lacking in confidence, living on her own after years of abuse. She gets the attention of Walter, one of the seven Simpson brothers who comprise one of the 2 local gangs. They each represent one of the Seven Deadly Sins. I assumed that the sins would come into play more, that there may be paranormal aspects. Wrong. The reader makes all the assumptions on their own without there being any real reference to them.

I wasn't fond of Coral. I understand the trauma (warning: her abuse could trigger a survivor of abuse) and why it would leave her withdrawn and lacking friends. However, at times she was out of character - forward. Also, she barely made ends meet, but she gave away all of her designs. Why? I was also hoping that there would be more between her and Walter. Yes, they were a couple, but I felt like I was told more I felt their connection. I was more interested in the Simpson Brothers than Coral. I felt like the book's success was more a credit to them.

This book has action and twists and turns. It was entertaining. I just felt like it had so much potential to be more.

I remember reading this years ago when it was on Wattpad and loving it so I decided to buy the books when I found out the author is going on an indefinite hiatus.

The book is pretty good and I liked that the brothers each represent a different deadly sin. I wish there was more depth to each brothers deadly sin. Some were pretty clear like with Severn & Landon but I wish there would have been more backstory and information about each individual brother.

The twist near the end of the story was unexpected and leaves me excited to read the other books in the series. Although reading that Coral is related to the Santiago’s left me with a weird feeling knowing that she kissed her own cousin and that a couple of them had tried to take advantage of her as well.

This book is a quick read and it’s easy to get through but there were multiple sentences with words missing or words that seemingly didn’t fit. The mistakes didn’t fully ruin the reading experience but it was a bit of a bummer to buy the book and have it seem unedited.

Overall I’d say it’s worth the read if you’re in search of something entertaining that doesn’t require too much focus or brain power.

Coral is a gentle soul. She's someone whose endured a lot of suffering growing up. And through all that pain, she's never lost her compassion. You can't help but get sucked in by the story and the world of the Simpson brothers. I loved her interactions with all the brothers specifically Walter Simpson.💘 There was so much that I loved about this book. Along with the incredible romance, the theme of family had me (1) wanting my own Simpson tattoo, as well as, at one point, (2) completely thrown off. In a OMG, wtf, *gasp*, unexpected turn of events. So good!👏🏽

LOVED THIS BOOK! It was the perfect Wattpad story. I thought it had the perfect mix of romance, action, and family. Honestly could have even used more romance from Walter and Coral (not fond of the name but it was funny when he called her seaweed) ~here’s hoping in the next book. And I mean how could I NOT fall in love with all of the Simpson brothers? Their deadly sins were sometimes a bit much, but I thought it was playful and mixed in well. There were some parts that were a reach ~of course~ but it had a good ending and I was surprised a few times.

Shout out to Sophie for the book rec xoxo

Very well written plot. I loved the intricate characteristics of the lead protagonists. The characters are beautifully flawed and wonderfully put together. Especially love books with ultimate surprising twists and this one had my head wrapped up in it. Can't wait to read the sequal

A good start

I liked this book but found it lacking in tension and suspense! The characters are all so nice. It's well written and the story is a good one but it's too simple, it feels like a very young first novel. But it is a great start and definitely an author to watch.

An amazing read.

Wow, where to start. I've literally just finished The seven deadly Simpson brothers and I want. No scratch that I need more.

I loved all the Simpson boys but especially loved the triplets.
I'm hoping there's going to be a series and we get to find out what happens with each brother. Oh and Blue eyes. Lol

The seven deadly Simpson brothers is filled with drama which will leave you the edge of your seat. There were laugh out loud moments. (The triplets are too cute) and lip biting moments where you will be wondering if things will work out the way they should or if it will go drastically wrong.

This book begins when Coral ends up meeting one of the seven Simpson brothers named Walter one night while going on. She's scared, but when she finds out that he wants to be friends with her things start slowly looking up for her. And when she meets his brothers things get even more interesting. But, danger is heading their way before they know it.

This book was okay. It got a little frustrating at times with some of the dialogue, and how the characters acted. But, it was still a pretty interesting read, and something to pass the time with.

Overall, I liked this one, but it wasn't good or bad, mainly just okay.

Coral was on her way from work when she bumped(literally) into Walter, a member of the Simpson gang. She was scared shitless because of all the rumors she heard about his family. But soon she realizes that Walter really just wanted to be friends with her, so he and Coral started to spend more time together and by default with his family. She just probably didn't realize what she was really getting into.

The story was okey, though kind of superficial and naive at times, but still fun to read.

I read this book back in 2016 on WATTPAD it was one of my absolute favorites!! I remembered it for years… So much that in my 20s I wanted to read it again, I order in on Amazon and read it within a day. This book is not what I remember at all? I realized that it was rewritten. I miss the old book, there were to many “twists” that I did not enjoy unfortunately. This book and the ideas truly have so much potential!
