Sometimes having integrity is a negative. David Cole, former Navy Seal is in charge of pyrotecknics at a Hollywood Sutdio. He spots two employees improperly wiring an explosive and fires them. One of the men is the producer Gary Stanford's nephew. When Stanford wants his nephew back and tells Cole he's fired, Cole reminds him that it would be his responsibility to report the unsafe conditions to the authorities. Now knowing how to deal with Cole, Stanford hires another former Seal who has a grudge against Cole, to find and kill him and make it look like Cole set up the explosives. This is a story of revenge, improbably feats, explosives and other gimics. It you like plenty of action without too much thought, this might entertain you.
I wanted to like this book. Premise sounded great. Didn't finish. Stilted dialogue. Plot drive and generic characterizations. I found nothing unique that caused me to like the protagonist. When I got to page 35 I just gave up. Just not my cup of tea.
