Crnicas [Chronicles] is the sixth and final installment of the Inmersin [Immerse] Bible series. This volume contains the remaining books of the First Testament: Chronicles--Ezra--Nehemiah, Esther, and Daniel. These works were all written after the Jewish people fell under the control of foreign empires and were scattered among the nations. They remind God's chastened people of their identity and calling to faithfully represent God to the nations and that there is still hope for the struggling dynasty of David.

The Inmersin series provides a new way to interact with God's Word because it delivers Scripture to the reader as it was originally created: without chapter or verse breaks. While references are available for ease of finding specific Scripture references, those references do not appear within the actual text of Scripture. This makes for uninterrupted reading of God's Word. The result is a Bible developed for being read and understood, not referred to. Created with the look and feel of a paperback book, and written using the text of the Nueva Traduccin Viviente, the most readable Spanish translation available, Crnicas enables you to easily read and understand the biblical text.

Reading through the Chronicles for the first time in a long while has been challenging (it is not particularly gripping in the first 9 chapters of many genealogies, even when you know that they are important), but also very good.
It's helpful to read the OT in a different order to that found in most Bibles, in the Hebrew scriptures the chronicles close out the story.

The interesting thing about this volume is that it mixes the Hebrew and Christian ordering by placing chronicles last in the set of OT volumes, but actually attaches Ezra Nehemiah to the end of chronicles. So you go straight into the post exile.

Reading through the generations of faithful and unfaithful kings and people it is strangely encouraging. Seeing that God is committed to His promises and won't be derailed by unfaithful people, though His call to them (and us) is always to return to Him.

I have really enjoyed the New Living Translation collection and this entry was just as good. I like how they blend the books together so they are much more seamless, no verse or chapter breaks which makes it very readable! Highest recommendation

Another Terrific Segment in the Immerse Bible!

The Immerse Bible is a wonderful way to read the Bible. The organization of Chronicles, including the related Psalms, was a great means of reading and developing an understanding of the stories and messages of the Bible.

Surprised how much richness there is to be found in some of the more technical books of the Bible but this volume's formatting helped!
