“I didn’t expect to see you here, gorgeous.” “That makes two of us.”
Penelope Brand is about to make a PR comeback when she hears that Texas drawl—the one from her delicious night with “just Zach.” The drawl she now knows belongs to Dallas oil baron Zach Ferguson, her client’s brother! She won’t risk all she’s rebuilt for a stubborn man with a dimple…but then he announces to everyone that she’s his fiancé!
Zach only did it to avoid a scene, and he doesn’t regret it. Because Penelope is by his side and in his bed…and pregnant?! Now, if he has to buy the whole state to keep his baby—and Penelope—he will. The only thing he’ll never do is give up his heart…
Jessica Lemmon is a former job-hopper who resides in Ohio with her husband and rescue dogs. She holds a degree in graphic design currently gathering dust in an impressive frame. When she’s not writing emotionally-charged stories, she spends her time drawing, drinking coffee, and laughing with friends. Her motto is Read for fun, and she believes we should all do more of what makes us happy.
“The pretending has become real.” I've been in a bad headspace for a week now, and so it took me a while to get into this book. I wasn't feeling it, much as I wasn't feeling like myself. But when it gets you, it REALLY gets you, and this book got me.
“Your place.” She said it with an eye roll, and offered a droll, “But only because there’s no one at my house who kisses me like that,” I'd met Zach before in the Billionaire Bad Boys series and I was happy to get to see him again and to know more about him. You need to give the guy a shot - yes, he's sort of a caveman, very protective and he doesn't know how to let go. He knows what he wants, and he goes after it. Yes, he is impossibly hot and his Texas drawl is likely droolworthy (yeap, I keep imagining it in my mind).
“How is she?” “Healthy. Gorgeous. Stubborn.” Impossible, he mentally added." I had met Penelope in the same series before, and she doesn't disappoint. She's relocated for the sake of her professional career and due to her jackass ex-boyfriend. She's not looking for anything specific in her life, she's looking to make the best of it in a new place with new clients for her PR firm. She is tough, and she is empowered, and she is sweet all at the same time.
What happens when they both meet and have a one-night stand while not exchanging any personal information? What happens when they meet again and realize who they really are? Sparks fly, wild chemistry, scorching hot scenes... yes, it's all here. And how about a fake engagement to add to the mix, with a side of unexpected pregnancy?
"Her life wasn’t glass slippers and godmothers. It was pumpkins and practicality." The thing about these two is that they don't realize what's going on because their attention is elsewhere. They don't expect anything, they're living day by day, until one of them realizes they need more. They deserve more. I was cheering for them to realize what was obvious to everyone else.
"She played with the longer hair at his nape, in need of a trim, and whispered two words that made Zach more grateful than he’d ever been in his life. 'Merry Christmas.'" Opening up. Trusting. Realizing that person will be there for you. Realizing how much you miss that person in your life. This was all needed for Zach and Penelope's love story. These two could never settle for anything but their happily ever after. And it's so great they didn't have to.
It’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to the Ferguson family. Three stubborn siblings, each with their own stake in Ferguson Oil, and each brimming with personality. None of these billionaires planned on settling down, but one by one in the Dallas Billionaires Club series, oh baby… they’re going down.
In Lone Star Lovers, you meet the middle sibling, Zachary Ferguson, and his one-night-stand turned fake fianceé turned baby mama. Penelope Brand is a public relations maven whose job is to solve everyone else’s problems, but she’s having a difficult time getting herself out of this pickle in particular. Maybe because of the undying attraction she has to Zach, who has vowed to keep her near by any means possible…
As the CEO of Ferguson Oil, Zach knows how to get what he wants—and what he wants is Penelope. What he doesn’t want is to risk his heart again, but he truly believes love and marriage don’t have to coexist. Can’t he marry her without sacrificing his heart? Zach’s troublemaking youngest sister (and one of Penelope’s clients), Stefanie Ferguson and their mayor brother, Chase Ferguson help Zach navigate the choppy waters. But Zach’s about to learn the hard way that Penelope refuses to accept half measures…
I hope you enjoy the first book set in the Ferguson’s world. If you do, I invite you to tell the world (or at least me) what you thought. You can find more information about my books on my often-updated website: www.jessicalemmon.com.
One of my favorite troupes is when a one night stand comes back and becomes more and Jessica Lemmon does that right in Lone Star Lovers, the first book about the Ferguson siblings. This book set up the series nicely letting readers spend a bit of time with all three siblings, but keeping this couple front and center. A confirmed successful charming bachelor is mesmerized by a smart, feisty public relations consultant he shared a one night stand with not knowing she’s working with his brother and sister on a project. A whole lot of sexy fun leads to more in this sensual, sophisticated romance.
I loved the way Zach and Penelope’s lives were intertwined from their first meeting in Chicago when they both lived there, to their one night stand, to the birthday party that reunited them. It was like fate kept throwing them in each other’s path and then really gives them a big dose of it. Both Zach and Pen had some baggage, but I was surprised by how easily Zach fell into a relationship with Pen despite his aversion to falling in love again. Pen worried about getting involved with Zach while working together, but she also seemed to realize that Zach was nothing like her ex.
Ms. Lemmon really put these two through the paces with both of them having to deal with big changes in their lives, family drama, and their growing feelings for one another. There wasn’t an easy fix and they both had to do some soul searching to figure out where they were headed and what they wanted from one another.
A fantastic start to a new series, Lone Star Lovers was an easy to read and enjoyable romance.
A smooth and savyy billionaire with a Texas drawl, who do everything with heart, no matter that he doesn't want it to be involved. A pragmatic PR who's not sure if she should follow reason or her heart. Both have been burned by love before but there's a strong physical chemistry between them they can't deny. It began with a one-night stand, turned into a fake engagement, but real lovers and now there's a bun in the oven ;p
I think it's the first time Jessica Lemmon wrote for Harlequin (sorry if I'm wrong), but I still recognized her great writing style. There's something very imagery about it that I really like. "Why the hell was everyone arranging parties around him, talking about him like he was a backdrop? Like he was a store mannequin." Zach dedication and his desire to be there for the heroine and their baby was sweet but I also thought he was too overbearing at time. But Penelope didn't seem to mind. I wish it didn't take him that much time before admitting his love for her and to realize that money can't buy everything. The secondary characters were great and I'm happy to know there's gonna be other books in the series about Zach's siblings.
If you've read Jessica Lemmon's BILLIONAIRES, you've already met Penelope Brand and Zach Ferguson, but alas there was no spark the first time they met. Well, second time around their is way more than a spark as these two simply explode when within a foot of each other. Lemmon takes two fan favorite characters and gives them a fairy tale romance that I want to read over and over again!
I loved these two characters together, like two pieces of a puzzle just waiting for their perfect match but not quite knowing they'd been each others all along. Lemmon writes a tale of swoon-worthy romance wrapped in a fun, flirty, and sexy sexual chemistry! Watching Pen and Zach fall in love and explore what could be was such a joy to read. I am dying for more from this series and Zach's siblings! Lemmon is an author not to be missed!
Lone Star Lovers by Jessica Lemmon is a sexy romance that starts with a one night stand, continues with a fake engagement, gets complicated by a baby on the way and ends with a happy ever after. It’s the first in a new series, the Dallas Billionaire’s Club, featuring the Ferguson family of Texas and is also the author’s debut romance with Harlequin!
Penelope Brand recently left Chicago after an involvement with a client ended in a PR nightmare for her. She’s making a new start with her public relations firm in Dallas. Having Stephanie Ferguson, the mayor’s sister, as a client gives her an ‘in’ with the kind of crowd that can make or break her career and when she’s invited to the mayor’s birthday party, she’s a happy attendee. What she doesn’t expect is to see her one night stand from a month ago at the same party – or that he’d end up being the mayor’s brother!
Zach Ferguson hasn’t forgotten the beautiful woman who has inspired a month’s worth of fantasies and seeing her at his brother’s party makes him consider asking for a second round. When his ex-wife shows up to make trouble, Zach’s quick thinking has him introducing Penelope as his fiancee, a role she’s willing to play for a short time, especially if it means more sexy times with Zach. Things get a little too real though when it turns out she’s pregnant from their first night together. Though neither was looking for commitment, will their fake engagement end up being the real thing?
I really enjoyed this introduction to the Ferguson family! Penelope has learned that getting involved with a client is bad news, and though she’s ‘hired’ by Zach in a manner of speaking to help with his PR problem due to a hasty marriage and divorce in Vegas, she can’t help that she’s attracted to him. They share some sexy scenes together as they navigate their relationship that starts to feel very real, especially with a baby on the way.
Zach becomes a hero in pursuit, working to convince Pen that they should give consider a real marriage for the sake of their baby. He cares about her, but is still wary of being too emotionally involved having loved and lost once before. Pen is smart enough to hold out for the real thing and they have their ups and downs while Zach figures out what his true feelings are before they get their happy ending. This is a low angst, fun and flirty romance and a great start to this new series!
There's a challenge to writing books in which the heroine is pregnant for a good portion of the book. The author, at least in my opinion, has to convince the reader that the couple would be together even if there was no baby. A lot of books in this trope suffer here, as the romantic relationship relies too much on the baby and isn't developed to where you believe they are a couple who love one another and their child.
In this case, they were also dealing with having to stay together, or figure out a way to explain splitting up and the baby...because there was also a fake engagement.
Zack and Penelope have everything pointing to them not working: fake engagements; crazy ex's who shriek like their are in the movies (no spoilers, but best line ever); surprise pregnancies; insane family expectations and relationships. Nothing about the situation is simple, and they face reasons to call it quits often, but they don't. I loved how well constructed this was, how it heightened the relationship with each test they faced, each conversation really built the relationship and moved it forward.
Penelope wants the romance, and the once in a lifetime love. Zack has closed himself off from ever falling in love again, and thinks a relationship where they are both committed to being parents and really like each other is enough.
I loved how clever this was, to take where so many of these books seem to build the relationship (around the baby and not the romance) and put it in the forefront of the story by making this exactly what Zack is trying to do, while failing spectacularly because he is falling in love with Penelope.
This, really, is exactly what you want from a romance, at least it is what I want, and it is the reason I read them. I want the fairy tale, I want the hero to love the heroine (even if it is in spite of himself) and to realize that a life without her isn't what he wants, and that the things he thought mattered, and the things he believed, have all changed now that the heroine is in the picture.
Is this a fairy tale? Yes, yes it is. And, this book tells the fairy tale incredibly well.
Challenge accepted and met, Ms. Lemmon wrote a book I believed, and enjoyed. I recommend this title.
This was absolutely delightful! Fantastic chemistry between the hero and heroine, they were off-the-charts sexy together. But there was also a real warmth to this story. It was romantic and real and funny-everything I could possibly want from a romance. I love Harlequin Desire and I adore Jessica Lemmon's books, so this was a perfect pairing and a real treat.
Public relations executive Penelope Brand is surprised and dismayed to learn that her one-night stand is non-other than her new client's brother. Pen's shock is compounded when Zach Ferguson announces their engagement to the world, and even more so when she learns she's pregnant. Now Zach is determined to marry, but Pen will settle for nothing less than love.
Pen and Zach are likable characters and their romance is intense and steamy.
That said, there is one element that rubbed me the wrong way - Pen is supposedly an independent and strong-willed businesswoman, but she allows Zach to manipulate her to suit his own needs. Unfortunately, his domineering attitude and tendency toward making important decisions for her are glossed over in the storyline. Instead, the focus is on Zach's committment phobia and Pen's insistence that she marry for love rather than convenience.
All in all, a well-written and engaging romance despite the issue outlined above. I look forward to reading more by Jessica Lemmon.
Lone Star Lovers (Dallas Billionaires Club) by Jessica Lemmon
If love makes things happen, denial must get the ball rolling. When it comes to matters of the heart Zach and Penelope are the worst of liars. If actions speak louder than words, why aren't they listening? Lone Star Lovers is an amusing reintroduction to a couple of old friends. Fire has begun to melt the ice, but the real complications have yet to begin. The true gift of an author is to take you out of the real world and entangled you in your imagination. Jessica Lemmon has that gift. Saucy and sweet.
Lone Star Lovers is Jessica Lemmon’s first book in her new Dallas Billionaires Club Series and it’s a winner!
Penelope Brand and Zach Ferguson share an amazing one-night stand after seeing each other in a jazz club one evening. They thought that would be all it was, until they run into each other at the mayor’s birthday party two weeks later. Penelope is a PR genius and had helped the mayor’s sister out of a PR nightmare and was invited to the party. Turns out Zach is the mayor’s brother and the CEO of their family’s Oil business.
When a woman shows up at the party threatening to cause a big scandal for Zach, he quickly comes up with a plan to avoid the scandal and announces to everyone that Penelope is his fiancé. Unfortunately, Penelope wasn’t in on this plan, but she’ll go along with it to help him out and it means some more hot nights with Zach. They’ve definitely got the smokin’ hot chemistry in the bedroom. What she doesn’t expect is to find out soon after that she’s pregnant from their one-night stand! Their fake engagement has a timetable in Penelope’s mind, but Zach doesn’t see any reason for them not to get married. They are great together and why not make it the real deal?
Fiancé ✔️ Explosive Chemistry ✔️ Baby on the way ✔️ Love? ❌ Wait…Love? No…never love. Zach has been down that road before and gotten burned. He’s not going there again. Can’t he have it all with Penelope without the love part? Penelope thought she could in the beginning, but her feelings are growing into something so much more and she’s not going to settle for less than what she & their baby deserve. Does Zach share those same feelings or will he lose Penelope for good?
I thoroughly enjoyed Lone Star Lovers! It was a fun, sexy read and I was into it from page one! Jessica Lemmon’s books are a joy to read!
**I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**
After a relationship gone wrong threatens her business, Penelope Brand relocated from Chicago to Texas to start fresh. She just landed a job helping the Mayor of Dallas clean up a PR fiasco and to top it all off she had incredible sex with a one-night-stand. But when it turns out that Zach, the afrementioned one-night-stand, just so happens to be the Mayor's brother, and to top it off has him claiming that he and Pen are engaged, and Pen nearly finds herself embroiled in her own PR fiasco.
Zach couldn't believe his luck when he ran into Penelope again, in all places, at his brother's birthday celebration. When his ex-wife also confronts him at the same party, he finds himself reaching for any lifeline he can get, and it proves to be a fake engagement to Penelope.
Both Zach and Pen figure on setting the record straight on their relationship status, when Pen finds out that she's pregnant. Now, as they both prepare for baby, they have to figure out what they want their relationship to be. Of course they'll both be present in the child's life, but whether or not their feelings for each other extend to love is another matter all together.
It's been awhile since I've read a really good surprise pregnancy story and certainly Jessica Lemmon delivers. There's a perfect balance between obvious changes one encounters while being pregnant (telling family / friends, buying clothing and furniture, reevaluating living situations, etc.) and the fact that Pen and Zach are trying to navigate their own relationship status. One doesn't overshadow the other. Instead I think they only enhance each other. I loved that it's not about the chemistry between Zach and Penelope, because honestly they have it in spades, it's about being able to give yourself completely to someone else unconditionally. I liked that the distinction is clear. They are still extremely attracted to one another and they even like each other and they get along, yet without love any future they may want is doomed. Sometimes I think it comes across that chemistry / attraction and love go hand in hand, but I like that Jessica Lemmon doesn't shy away from exploring the less than happily-ever-after potential of having a relationship that doesn't include love, and the idea that having a baby should not be the deciding factor.
But, let's talk about that chemistry. I was so happy with the heat factor between Zach and Pen. I loved that it doesn't diminish just because she's expecting. If anything it only ratchets it up is always something I like to read because I think it has the potential to get overlooked.
Overall, I love the start to this series. Fans of Jessica Lemmon's may recognize Penelope and Zach as secondary characters in her Billionaire Bad Boys series. This in no way means that you have to have read the previous series (although you honestly should), but it's a nice Easter Egg for those who have.
I'm already looking forward to Zach's siblings getting their own HEA's. I know Chase's book is next and we get a possible hint within this story of what to expect. Methinks very interesting things are on the horizon.

Lone Star Lovers Dallas Billionaires Club book #1 Release Date: March 1, 2018 Review copy provided by the publisher
Wowza! This book did not feel like a Harlequin Desire imprint! I expect more of a "closed door" when it comes to the sexy times in these novels. That wasn't the case with Jessica Lemmon's book, Lone Star Lovers. It was simply delicious.
Zach Ferguson comes from old Texas oil money. Like, billions of it! He's the fun guy of the family; always looking for a good time. But under that gorgeous smile, and yummy dimple, is a guy who is still licking the wounds of his broken heart from years ago.
Penelope Brand has a plan. She left behind her tattered reputation and drama for a fresh start in Dallas. She's a savvy businesswoman who doesn't have time for anything more than a sizzling one night stand. Too bad her heart has other plans.
This book is full of some of my favourite tropes in romance; a fake engagement, a surprise pregnancy, and Billionaires. It's like Christmas all wrapped up in a book!
I loved these two characters together. They were so much fun. Zach brought out Pen's fun side, which she desperately needed. While there is some crazy chemistry between them, there is also an amazing friendship. I love when the hero and heroine form a solid relationship that isn't just about the physical stuff. There was plenty of banter that I have come to expect from a Jessica Lemmon book. This author writes some of my favourite dialogue.
The journey to their happily ever after didn't come easy. Both of these characters had to learn to let go and grab hold of what they wanted. It was amazing watching Zach and Pen grow, in both personality and emotionally. I really cared about these two. I was completely invested in their story.
I absolutely can not wait for the next book! Zach's brother, Chase has me intrigued. He was so in control in this book. There was a second where he looked liked he wanted to unravel, but he didn't. That's the moment that I knew his book was going to be fantastic!
A steamy and oh-so-satisfying introduction to the Dallas Billionaires Club! With her signature voice of bringing a cast of feisty, fun-loving characters to life, Jessica Lemmon does not disappoint in her Harlequin Desire debut! We jump into the fray of a well-off Texas family who seems to attract scandal no matter how much their big brother tries to ward it off. With this first book in the series, we meet the younger brother Zach and his fake fiance Pen. The story line is well developed with equal amounts of strife and passion as they strive towards that happily ever after. I really enjoyed this family and look forward to more to come in the series!
Public relations guru Penelope Brand has a stead-fast rule of not mixing business with pleasure since relocating to Texas, so when she discovers the man she hooked up with at a club is none other than a sibling in the prestigious family she recently started working for, she's not happy!
Zachary Ferguson didn't know Pen was working with his siblings, but he's not sorry to see her again. Their chemistry is still off the charts hot, and he can't wait to woo her into his bed again! The hint of a scandal suddenly has him announcing to a room full of party-goers that she's his fiancee ... and when she soon discovers that their night of passion left a little consequence, Zach's more determined than ever to make that "I Do" a reality!
This is a sweet story about two people who find themselves in an unexpected situation, and who don't know their own feelings. I really liked it! Lone Star Lovers is sexy and cute. Penelope and Zach are adorable together! They have excellent chemistry, and these two have some hot times! Penelope and Zach have a one night stand, but reconnect when Penelope does some PR work for his family. For some odd reason, Zach acts like they are engaged to thwart one of his exes, but things end up going further than either of them thought. Pen ends up pregnant, and these two think they can keep feelings out of their relationship, but that's pretty hard to do when they can't keep their hands off of each other. Pen and Zach were definitely kidding themselves, but Zach has some walls built up, and Pen keeps distant because she sees those walls. I loved that Pen is independent, and that she has a bit of sass. Zach is a sweetheart, and I loved his bit of alpha-ness. I liked that this story didn't add drama that didn't need to be there, and focused more on Pen and Zach's relationship. I really enjoy Jessica Lemmon's writing, and this book kept me interested the whole time. I read it in one sitting! It looks like there will be books about Zach's siblings, which I'm excited about! I'd love to read them, and see their stories unfold. I felt there were some clues as to what their stories are going to be like, and I'm really looking forward to them!
“Lone Star Lovers” by Jessica Lemmon is book one of her Dallas Billionaires Club miniseries and marks her debut with Harlequin Desire. What a fabulous debut it is! Filled with a lot of sexy times, the chemistry between Zach Ferguson and Penelope Brand is hotter than a Texas summer.
Zach is CEO of Ferguson Oil and met Penelope for the second time in a Dallas jazz club (the first time was in Chicago). He liked what he saw, as did she, and they had their one night never expecting to see each other again. Penelope, a PR maven, relocated to Dallas to start over. She’s hired to clean-up the mess made by the mayor’s sister, Stefanie Ferguson. It isn’t until the mayor’s birthday party that Pen finds out who Zach really is. Then the fun begins.
Zach is all about fun – not wanting to give his heart to another ever again. Pen has been burned before by mixing business with pleasure. But when Zach has a PR issue of his own, Pen agrees to be his fake fiancé. Then she discovers she is pregnant and Zach and Pen have to decide if their fun times together will turn into happily-ever-after.
“Lone Star Lovers” is an irresistible read starring two people who find it difficult to resist each other. This reader is excited to see what Ms. Lemmon has in store with the next book in the series.
Overly excited to read & review an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book in a new Dallas Billionaires Club series by Jessica for The HQ Desire line . As far as I’m concerned, The Desire line just got even More Desirable because of THIS book. Having read Jessica many times previously, I can safely say that she’s once again exceeded my expectations with this story! I absolutely loved getting lost in the story between Penelope & Zack with the undeniable chemistry they shared while juggling family & career obligations! Without giving away details , I’ll add that this IS one of THOSE books that will leave you thinking “ just one more chapter” but forget it!I couldn’t get through this fast enoogh ! Throw in an unexpected pregnancy & I’m all in! Combine all this with a great family dynamics & the above mentioned fabulous chemistry & you’ve got yourself your next one click Auto buy Desire author ! Well done & looking forward to the rest in the series !
How does a one night date end up becoming forever. Ask Ms. Lemmon who wrote such an amazing love story in which Penelope Brand and Zachary Ferguson discover the answer. They had one night, then meet again. Pen trying to rebuild her life from Chicago to Dallas and Zach who takes over the reins from his Dad after making his billions. Put these two together who's relationship is hotter than the Dallas weather, a relationship that produces a surprise pregnancy. Sounds like no problems here. Except one element is missing Pen loves Zack who refuses to love anyone. Will taking care of her and their child , having everything money can buy be enough. Read this wonderful book and find out. You will fall in love with Zack's family and will be looking forward to more books about the "Ferguson family".
This is one of those quick evening or weekend reads. Penelope Brand and Zach Ferguson find themselves together when a hook up ends up with Pen pregnant. Penelope is helping Zach with his image as she's a fixer of public relation problems. Things get complicated when she finds out after a one night stand, she's pregnant and becomes Zach's fake fiance. Watching these two navigate their relationship is sweet and fun at times and heartbreaking when they can't seem to figure out how each other feels. Love Penelope and Zach and the secondary characters. When a author can write one of these shorter books and make you feel like you've gotten a full story you know you've found a author you're going to want to read again. Jessica Lemmon does that beautifully.
I received an ARC from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
The cover, yes the cover, is perfect. Why would I point out the cover? Because once you read this you will understand just how perfect it really is and the visual it gives you matches the wonderfully written story inside. That's what her writing and stories do- you can completely visualize the characters and feel like you are there with them. The story comes to life in your mind while you read. It just flows. I received the copy mid morning, began it late in the evening and had it finished by bedtime- but I'll tell you, if the next book in the series had been done I would have kept reading! We got a hint of her Crane series (which I love), and of the siblings who's stories are next to come. Quick read, and an author you'll want more of!
Zach is just one charming man, “aw, honey,” he said with a wink as he laced his fingers with hers. “But I’m your caveman.” I loved this book, Zach was charming, and Penelope was feisty and would challenge Zach which was good for him.
I loved Pen and Zach when they were introduced in the Billionaire Bad Boys, so I was very excited to see them get their own book. Even more fun to see them in Lemmon’s first Desire title. The fun, sexy, snarky line is a perfect fit for this couple. Classic Jessica Lemmon with a recognizable red Desire cover: the best of both worlds.
This was my first book of Jessica's I have read. I have to say I absolutely loved It! I can't wait to read more of her books! Penelope and Zach's story is such a fun romance I loved the chemistry between these to. I couldn't get enough of this book. I didn't want it to end!
Zach, sexy Texan, playboy extraordinaire, was the one to announce their fake engagement to avoid scandal. But what happens when their one-night stand leaves Penelope pregnant? This independent PR lady maps out a plan... I really enjoyed reading this story and CANNOT wait to read about Chase!
Great start to a new series!!! Pen and Zach are the perfect blend of cute and sexy. The family dynamic are as engaging and well done as the central relationship. I’m a sucker for a marriage of convenience plot and for anything with a baby, with Lone Star Lover I get both at their best!!! Can’t wait for Chase’s story!
I loved everything about this book! Cue the feels! Full review to come. . . . So I enjoyed that Zach and Penelope have a past. Their meeting in this book was a shock, but not unfamiliar. They might not have intended to meet again, but neither one of them is upset by this. Penelope is the queen PR consultant. Zach needs some assistance. The chemistry between them is off the charts. Reluctantly, Pen is there for him, in more ways than one. I loved watching their relationship evolve and progress. I was completely sucked into their story and didn't want to put this book down. Jessica Lemmon gave me all the feels and hated when this book was over. Their relationship was realistic, I was cheering for them and I wanted them to last! If you're looking for a sweet, sexy, hot AF read, then don't let this book pass you by! Grab your copy today!
Penelope is so shocked by a new revelation that has her very concerned about instant change and what her future may be.
Zach is grateful for the change occurring and soon as he wants to overcome a scandal that he needs to confront and this is the perfect assistance, the new developments that have risen.
This book is like a fast storm hitting on a quiet day. It offers a lot of chilling moments but then you get to see how things can settle once things fall back into place and everything the storm hit has been cleansed. This book showed how one can face their weaknesses and overcome.
"This marks the first in the new Dallas Billionaires Club series and readers are in for a treat! Penelope and Zach have an immediate spark of nearly combustible attraction that burns hotter every time they meet … think sexy, naughty and a whole lot of fun! They have passion in spades, but they also have respect, which gives them the foundation needed to create a real relationship. The premise of having Penelope help various Ferguson family members out of dicey situations makes character introductions a breeze and serves to pique interest in the romantic lives of each person" (4 stars @ RT Book Reviews).
