This was a class requirement for me at university. It has a high focus on statistics which provide a good picture of how the things mentioned in the book are actually viewed by the people. Though, it may slow one's reading quite a bit having to read all the numbers and percentages. However, it does provide a great coverage of the United States of America, its people and their culture.
NOTE: You may pay attention as of what edition you are getting as the most current one is the 7th (year: 2018).
