When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

Humorous but too much to dark to be a cozy series

This is NOT a cozy mystery series. I actually liked the Covenant College series when the characters are college students and the language was appropriate for college kids but this series is set twenty years in the future and the Aric and Zoe haven't grown. They have a thirteen year old daughter that they have sexual inappropriate conversations with that no real parents would have with a child that age. The plots were good but all the crap between seemed like filler. I have a thirteen year old daughter now and I would never talk like her parents nor do I want to read books about killing children in front of a child. Zoe and Eric border on evil and they supposedly do this to protect their daughter. There was no point to killing in front of their own child. Justice could have been serviced with out the death and destruction. Amanda Lee never allowed her characters to grown realistically from the first books when they were eighteen. This series could have been excellent had the author gotten feedback from an actual parent or thought of her audience. The book seems to suppose to be in the cozy genre but completely failed on that point. I've tried several Amanda M. Lee books and the humour is OK but her writing concerning couples seem similar in every single series. If she cut 90 percent of the sex talk of each book she could write a book I could actually 100 percent read instead of 50 percent. I just can't try another book by this author.

Intense and entertaining

This entire series was an intense an entertaining story. A great cast of characters from beginning to end we get to follow the characters from the beginning of college all the way to the end and about a decade after to see what happens to all the different characters and storylines and finally for the most part and ending to the tail. At times dark and spooky at other snarky sarcastic and hilarious. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions from beginning to end and you will definitely be entertained with supernatural mystery series. Check them all out you won’t be disappointed
I was just for the most part 16 years of age or older to read this mostly because of some balance and mature scenes nothing out of bounds. Relatively clean story just a few intimate scenes

Another big jump in the future, then everything happens close together in time line.

Strange that Zoe's parents didn't appear but Aric's were in all three books. Paris is in a couple & Kelsey is in one.

These are good books primarily about protecting Sami who starts getting stronger and whether she will also turn wolf. Some former characters pop up again in different good or bad guy persona's. Also some new characters with ties to previous ones.

I would recommend this book series to anyone who likes fantasy, magic, some romance, teen angst, & characters with a bit of attitude. Humor is woven throughout to keep some darker aspects lighter. Well worth the read as are all of this author's work.

Always love Zoe and Aric...the rest of the family, not so much.

I REALLY loved the other two Covenant series. Plot-wise, I enjoyed this one as well. That being said, I could only give 3 stars because some of the characters were so awful, it really marred the enjoyment of the books. Sami was atrocious, and not in a funny way. Aric’s parents were equally terrible. These three characters almost derailed the whole series. Further, the way Aric snd Zoe reacted to them was cringeworthy. As a reader and a fan, I feel that less of those three in future books would be much more enjoyable.

Amazing books on Covenant College

I have read ALL 11 of the Covenant books and have enjoyed each and every one.
I do not know how, but the story kept getting better as it progressed through the years. I am 68 years young and almost decided the story line would not entertain me. I am so glad I started the Awakening because I was hooked before I knew it. I could not put my phone down, I lost sleep when I became so intriged about the direction the story was taking. Do not miss this amazing storyline, I pray it continues into Sami's growth into adulthood. Thank you Amanda M. Lee!

Wonderful Ending to the Trilogy

I’m not sure if this is my second or third time through this trilogy. But each time I pick up more details, and see more patterns.

The stories in Dying Covenant are about what happened when the self-righteous evil based at Covenant College kepí going after Sami, the powerful child of Aric, the gorgeous and loving werewolf, and Zoe, the snarky, ultra-mage. I had fun seeing Sami grow during this. And it was hilarious reading about the uber strong Queen of sarcasm dealing with a kid who was so much like her.

Good read

This series of the Dying Covenant is three books in one. It continues the adventures of Zoe Lake and Aric Winters and their daughter Sami. It ends the Covenant College books, but never fear, you can catch them in other Amanda M. Lee series. That's one of the things I like about her books....Her characters visit all over her different series. There is humor, loads of magic, violence, angst, love, snark, sass, all kinds of paranormal characters, and all manner of shenanigans. Highly entertaining.

The completion of th he Covenant series

I love Amanda M Lee's books and the Covenant series in particular. I recommend that you read all 11 books in the series because amidst all the witchcraft and mayhem is a wonderful love story following Zoe and Aris through college until their early middle age. I am sad this particular series has ended . There is a hint that they might be revisited in the future via their daughter. I sincerely hope so.

Magic, enemies, and kids at the same time!

I’ve read all of Amanda m Lee’s (aka Lily Harper Hart) books multiple times before I read this series. All of them are great but this is the only series that deals with all the mayhem of fighting monsters with magic while dealing with a teenage daughter….a whole new dimension. Now I’m looking forward to a Sami series! Will she wind up marrying Raphael? Enquiring minds want to know…..

fantastic

This is the fourth time I have read this set of books. I absolutely love how Ms Lee sets up her stories. She makes the characters seem like real people, someone you would want to hang out with.
I would recommend and have recommended these series of books to my friends. Anybody looking for a really good read, one where you don’t want to put the book down then this is it.

Supernatural fantasy

Sami has turned twelve and in the world of born wolves that usually means they turn and start becoming adults. As half wolf and half mage neither side has really surfaced yet. Unfortunately, the outside world has also been waiting for her powers to manifest. Zoe and Aric have their hands full trying to protect their family as wave after wave of evil comes their way. Not surprisingly, eventually thing lead back to Covenant College.

Best series ever!

I'm completely in love with these characters. I felt like I've been with Zoe for her entire journey. I've laughed out loud, I've shed a tear, it's been an emotional rollercoaster. This author is amazing, I'm never bored and always looking for her next book.

Great stories, and...

I read indie authors almost exclusively, and am appalled at the number of grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in almost every book (I'm a real grammar Nazi, incapable of ignoring errors). Not in this book! 😊 That being said, I love the relationship between Aric and Zoe! Every woman should be so lucky!

Sad to see it end

I loved this series. Glad we get to see crossovers with them down the line. Zoe sent some very strong messages in this trilogy. Highly recommend, but start with book one of the first series where Zoe starts college. I love all the characters in the series. I love the snark, loyalty and mostly the unfailing love between the main characters.

The end of a great series. I think I liked this trio of books even better than the first two sets. We get more of snarky Kelsey, one of my favorites from this series. Sami is hilarious, the perfect embarrassed teen.

Excellent Series

This series will make you laugh and cry! But above all else it is a fight against evil and winning! In this day and age it's nice to think that there are people fighting the good fight even though this is fiction! Definitely great for teens and adults!

Dying Covenant

Such a flawed main character but her heart and snark are in the right place. I was a bit apprehensive about a child might calm down Zoe and Aric but Sami just enhanced the extreme humor. Loved this!!!

Enjoyed the characters, especially the snark and sarcasm. Engrossing storyline. Couldn't put these books down. Wish there were more... Maybe another few years along and then another 20? Follow Sami.

Zoe and Aric

Fantastic, a real feel good ending to what had been a thrilling ride of a series. From the first moment at Covenant college to the last moment where we saw the end of the college and what looks like a fun life ahead for the main characters and there daughter Sami.
