Dirty SEAL

Grant Maxwell is a retired Navy SEAL who now works in a boring office job. After a year of being behind a desk, he’s desperate for a change. When his brother Brady invites him to come and stay at his ranch in Wyoming for a while, he decides to go. It’s here where he meets the very pretty, and extremely down to earth Emily.

Emily Wessler is a country girl. She works as a speech therapist for children, and enjoys nothing more than spending time at home. To the world she’s quiet and innocent, but to the ones that know her best she’s wild and carefree. Her life is a simple and happy one. But all that is about to change when she comes home one day to find her house on fire. It’s here where Emily meets Grant, at the time when she needs him most.

Dirty SEAL is a hot romance that includes 3 bonus novels for a limited time.

This book was kind of a lot of things. It was kind of about first responder's, alpha males, MC, small town romance, second chances, etc. It was kind of all over the place. What it wasn't...was a book about a "Dirty Seal". He wasn't dirty (unless you count him being sweaty after working on the ranch all day), and while he may have been a SEAL, that had almost nothing to do with the story. If anything, Emily is the one with the semi-wild streak. The underlying story had a lot of potential, and I kept reading thinking it was going to get hotter, more suspenseful, more anything. In the end, I felt like I read a sweet, small town romance, that was much longer than it really needed to be to accomplish the HEA. IMO, there were too many times when the characters said or did something that just felt out of place, or times when I just scratched my head wondering how/why that particular scene was supposed to make sense. I have pages of highlights of what I consider inconsistencies or just out of place actions. Grant's character felt undersold to me too. There was a lot going on with him and his family, and his 'part' in this book felt like a sell for the other's in the series. I never considered Grant an 'Alpha' type male, which you would think a "Dirty Seal" would be. I'm all for authors writing "their story" and this was a nice story. I think it was packaged and sold as something different than it was, and that was distracting throughout.

This was a fantastic read that I could not put down. Grant hated his life working in an office and decided to take his brother Brady up on his offer to come work with him in Wyoming for a while. He never expected to find what he was missing, both being able to do what he loves (working on the ranch and being a firefighter) and a girl he can't see being without. Emily is a sweet girl that lives her job as a speech therapist, but there's a parent that has creeped her out a bit. When she arrives home to find her house on fire, she's devastated, but tries to make the best of it. When she meets Grant, she decides to take him up on his request for a date. He's such a sweet man and their chemistry is out of this world. When her estranged father comes into the picture, there are some harsh words between them and they break things off. Things work out, but with an interesting twist that I never saw coming honestly. Definitely a must read.

I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

A story where the writing could have been a bit better sometimes, but overall well written. Grant is a former seal, but that has nothing to do with the story and what happens, but he is still adorable and sexy. Emily is a speech trainer and sweet, but under the surface she is a bit on the edge. They have a chemistry and passion between them.
It took me a while to get caught by the story because of the slow start where not so much happened. But after a couple of chapters the story go into action and that made it captivating and a sweet romance story.
The story has danger, drama, passion, hot scenes, great chemistry, suspence and is an emotional rollercoaster for the main characters. It is a very fast paced story and a great read when it caught me. Grant and Emily is a well suited couple that has to get through some issues and dare to take their HEA.
A nice story that starts of slow but gets better. It is predictable but a easy to read.

Amazing! Grant aka "Patriot" is an ex Navy seal who is miserable in his job as a real estate agent. He just isn't happy with a boring office job. He decides to go spend some time with his brother Brady "Shotgun" who lives in Wyoming. Brady is a rancher who works long hours and appreciates the help. Emily is Brady's neighbor. She is a speech therapist with her best friend Terra. Grant and Emily have such great chemistry and sizzle. Things seem to be going well for Emily with the exception of Brett, a parent of one of her clients. Total creep factor. The guy just won't take no for an answer. This is only the beginning of Emily's problems. For reasons unknown her house burns down. Unbeknownst to her it was arson. Who would do this? Not to mention, her long-lost father comes to town. So many emotions. Luckily, through it all she has the support of Terra and Grant. This book was fantastic. It had the perfect amount of suspense and steam. 5 sexy stars!!! I voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book. Loved the ending. Never thought bunny slippers could be so sexy…..

Grant is an ex-Navy SEAL. He is not cut out for his boring office job as a real estate agent. He takes his brother up on his offer to go to Wyoming and work on his ranch. He finds this rewarding and just what he needs. He has only one thing missing in his life. Emily is a neighbor of his brother. She has her own life issues. Her house burns down and her crazy estranged dad returns. When she meets Grant she thinks he is sweet and decides going on a date with him won’t be so bad. The chemistry with Grant and Emily is unbelievable. They eventually have their own issues, especially when it comes to her dad. They would make such an adorable couple, however, can their chemistry and feelings for one another make it through the obstacles that are thrown their way? One-click this book to find out! The twists and turns will keep you captivated and on the edge of your seat!

Grant is a former Seal he lives with his brother across the street from Emily. The first time he notices her is when she is secretly checking him out at least until she sneezes giving herself away. Emily is a speech therapist for children and she loves her job. When she comes home from work one day to her home on fire she is understandably upset and Grant tries to help her. After the fire Emily starts sees Grant and sees that the connection they have is more than just friends. Things progress quickly between this couple and the heat is off the charts. This was a good story. There is some drama mixed in with suspense over who burned her home down that alone kept me reading through to the end. If you like sweet romances then this is the story for you.

Excellent contemporary Maxwell Family romance. After spending time in the SEALS Grant didn't know what he wanted to do with his life. He tried real estate but it wasn't a good fit. He decided to go to Wyoming to see and help out his brother who was working a ranch. The hike there he me his brothers neighbor Emily during the tragedy of her house burning down. They hit it off but there are unsettled things in Grants life and Emily has a stalker. It's a quick moving book and includes some back story about Grant and his brothers growing up with only the motorcycle club and garage his father loved. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

Tired of his office job, Grant "Patriot" Maxwell decides to visit his brother in Wyoming. Emily Wessler was raised in the small town and knows that chances of finding love are slim. One fire changes everything. Will Grant and Emily give their love a chance? Will they catch the enemy before it is to late?

Loved reading this book after reading Gunner's. Loved how Patriot is really this big softy and peace maker. Emily was a sweetheart and loved her job. I didn't blame either on how they reacted to the stresses around them and was proud how they managed to overcome the road bumps. Great book and cannot wait for more of the Maxwell brothers!

I loved the story of ex-navy seal Grant and Emily. After retirement from the Seals, Grant took a desk job and hated it. So he chose to move to Wyoming and help his Dad and brother out on the ranch and work part time as a fire fighter. That's how he met Emily when her house was on fire. This is part of the Maxwell family series. They are so great together and their chemistry is explosive. Lots of drama with an arsonist, a troublesome father and twists. A great read that is well written with strong characters and an entertaining storyline. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book....

An overall great read! I loved the plot! The characters were great even though Emily could have been a little more developed. She acted childish periodically throughout the story. Grant wasn't "dirty" enough for me - he didn't act like your typical SEAL. That part was a little disappointing. I could easily relate to the characters. I hope to be able to read Brady and Terra's story soon. I would like to see them get together.....I was also a little disappointed in how the story-line played out with Brett. I felt it needed a little more of an outcome. Again, an overall great read!

I was expecting a little bit more out of this story to be honest. First of all, the cover is completely deceiving to begin with, when you read the story you will understand. I struggled a little bit to get into the story but then the story did get a bit better. I would've liked to get more in depth with Gran'ts time in the SEAL's, he makes a perfect hero in more ways than one. I'm not saying that the story is one you shouldn't read. I am just giving my honest review of what I thought about the book.

While the title and cover are a little misleading it was still a good story! Grant is a sweet guy and Emily is also sweet and caring. Together they make a perfectly cute couple. There were some issues with the plot, but altogether I did enjoy the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

A sexy and sweet romance between an ex-Navy SEAL looking for a chance to reinvent himself and a strong, independent, caring woman who finds herself unexpectedly in danger. A nice mix of Romance, steam and suspense. A bit of a slow start, and the writing could use some polishing in places but over all a satisfying read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I wouldn't call this a Navy SEAL romance. There's only a few instances where it is mentioned that Grant is a former SEAL and he hates when anyone talks about his SEAL days. The storyline is pretty good, but the writing style was a bit amateur-ish for my taste.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. It had dual POVs which I love. The characters and the plot were realistic. I didn't understand the title of Dirty Seal though. He was adorable and caring. I am looking forward to reading more of the Maxwell brothers stories.

Loved this story. Loved Grant and Emily. Grant is bored with his life and moves in with his brother hoping to find something different. Emily lives next door to his brother and her house catches on fire. Since then, the two are inseparable. Cannot wait to read about the next Maxwell brother. Hoping it's Brady! Cute

Really liked reading all about Emily and Grant (Audrey and Patriot). Fun little story for a relaxing evening at home.

I'm not sure where to go with this.. First of other than the fact Grant was once a navy SEAL, I'm not sure how this is a navy SEAL romance. I didn't really start getting into this book until I was a third of the way in, it seemed to move a little too slow at the beginning. Once I got past those first few chapters is when I started to get pulled in. The characters were well thought out and written. I liked the story. I loved Grant and Emily. Overall I liked and enjoyed this book.
