I read this the day after 'the great event' in the USA and totally connected with this short story - and to the main protagonist Barry. I 'so' related to him and what he was feeling. His reactions to everything about the eclipse and the final moments...I was there - but not quite. The twist at the end was half-expected and yet felt just right.

The writing was pacy and easy to read. I was pulled into Barry's world. One minor typo wasn't going to spoil the story for me.

For a short story it was imaginative and well written. I would be interested in more!
