What a gem of a book!! Obviously this book has a particular audience but if you are in that audience it is a fascinating read. I love books about running and cross country and this may be the best I’ve ever read on coaching the sport. I’ve coached CC for 30 years and never have read a book that gets so close to the heart of coaching the sport. It is like sitting down with a group of master coaches and picking their brains on the nuances of coaching this beautiful sport. A must read for every coach!

Nothing new here. Most coaches don't believe in tapering much and value tempo runs over intervals.
