My hubby and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon and got to visit the ruins and swim in a cenote in Coba, Mexico and it was fascinating to see what is left of the structures and city firsthand. Ever since, I've wanted to learn more about the Central American Mayan and Olmec era ruins and how they correlate to the Book of Mormon timeline and civilizations. This book isn't the most informative, per se, and is more of a travel-ogue/testimony of the author but the pictures are amazing, nonetheless!
This book is full of beautiful pictures that are truly breathtaking! What the book mainly is, is the author's thoughts and commentary as he traveled through these amazing lands. He brings the scriptures to new light and has some amazing insights. I really like the way this book is helping me to visualize The Book of Mormon.
Wilcox is a gifted writer. The descriptions in this book are breathtaking. They capture you and place you right where those people from the Book of Mormon walked. It's indescribable. I love this book.
This was a wonderful book! It was like being on the tour of middle America and learning about the culture and how the truths of the Book of Mormon apply to them and us.
